So in this game you are basically a gun for hire.. or a hitman/hostagetaker who negotiates for money but are accepting $10/$1,000 to buy the hostages more time however you inevitably end the day executing every single one of them. All but one who was hiding from the mad gunman and counted every second tick by, petrified by the thought of what the next second may bring.. and to help recognize their bravery, the city mayor stands them before their fellow neighbors, friends, and families to praise their resilience and offer a humble medal meant to lift their spirit.
In all seriousness, this game actually kinda reminds me of the trailer to the movie Run Hide Fight.

I've seen another one or two of these, the idea is pretty cool. But it seems like a conflict of interest for the players in the game to be able to use kill or save tokens in the same game. Full audience control seems like it would be a better option. Less room for salty-ness, grudges, people begging for others in the lobby not to kill them, that sort of stuff.
