The storyline of Young Sheldon was realistic.I'm sure this has happened in real life to some people
Sheldons reaction hit the hardest for me, people dont really understand Sheldon. He was very afraid of moving, wasn’t the nicest with his father, he didn’t want to leave his childhood home. Life was very tense for him and his dad just died out of the blue
Knew it was coming and it still got me.
I have never gotten so choked up about the death of a character. It was like I heard news that my family member had died.

@@10prkb I have once when I read that Rue from the Hunger Games trilogy died even though I knew it was coming it hit me like a sledgehammer and I’m reminded again that people don’t really die they just go to a higher level of consciousness

Problem is, we knew it was coming, Sheldon mentioned his fathers death in the big bang when he mentioned it happened when he was a young kid.
What really got me was Mary's face when she was told George was gone. 😢 That was hurt on a high scale.
Sheldon was the best, I can picture myself doing the same.

That was one of the most gut wrenching scenes I've ever seen on TV show. Outstandingly delivered by all of them. Will go down as one of the all time most memorable scenes on TV❤
George Cooper Sr was my favorite character.
WOW! I was in wow when they said he passed. I cried I wasn’t expecting that! I’m going to miss this show. 😢

It seemed Mary was trying so hard to hold it together for the kids 🥺
This episode hit me pretty hard emotionally. It reminded me of getting the phone call nine years ago from my mother at 2:39 AM telling me to come home cause my father was gone. George reminded me at times of my own father. He did the best he could to support his family, he worked hard and loved his children.
So sad everything was GREAT and George got his dream job.
I lost my dad and didn't get to say goodbye the moment they said he was gone I broke in a millisecond it was sad but I'm glad they didn't show it that would of been worse
my mum went through the same thing w her dad except she got to see him only once w her mum 30 mins b4 he died. My mum had to leave us quickly, and i'm glad she got to see him.
We had seven years to prepare for this. We had no way to be ready for this 😢
George got his dream job ! He died at his happiest! Great Ending to a very sad plot !

If you think about it we as the audience couldn’t process it either, I mean, we knew it was coming but we saw him leave for work just as always, and we were there when they got the knock on the door. Heartbreaking.
We were reminded of the way that everything can be gone in an instant.That's a tough lesson. This show made us think about the future and our mortality
I never thought that the death in a show would hurt this much. I felt so connected to these characters, especially George for some reason. I’ve been watching since the very beginning of the show, seeing this scene hurt so much.
George was my favorite character. I know I'm not alone in this! :(
George was the stable parent in that relationship.That was also tragic.His strength was what kept them together

I was not a big fan of young sheldon although I watched every episode. I thought it was funny but when I was watching this scene, I was in tears. I literally cried for hours. It was just so sad. This is the firsttime I cried seeing the death of a TV character.

Amazing! The power of excellent TV, good writing and directing, and most of all, good acting that makes us fall in love with and grieve fictitious characters as if they were real people in our lives!!

Seeing the death brought back memories of the loved ones that passed. Especially my grandpas death as his was out of nowhere
What a way to find out at least they didn’t call her they had the guts to tell the family to their faces? I don’t know how I’ll feel if they make a funeral episode ? I know this is just a TV show but this is literally great acting. and kudos to the producers and directors for not showing his death on screen. I hope they don’t discontinue the show after this I know this is the final season but seriously don’t leave with this. And I know Georgie and Mandy are getting their own TV show but still . I at least hope Georgie and Mandy have a decent relationship and I hope they show more of the family what’s left of them. I hope Connie gets her house back.

I'm still crying especially everytime I see that scene of them getting the news.. George has quickly entered the pantheon of TV fathers whom I've grown up with and loved.. This one really really hurt man and even knowing it was coming It still messed me up.. Rest well George you were awesome sir...

Regan Revord really deserves an Emmy for her portrayal of Missy these last two seasons.

@@nav_2709 i agree w best but disaee w most realistic, as each person will react differently and therefore i believe every1 had an equally realistic reaction. when my grandpa died i held on and cried privately while my brother immediately fell to tears.

I haven’t seen this episode yet but I’m sad that George dies. Grey’s Anatomy did the same thing with a different George and it was heart breaking also.
George was such a good role model. Why would they take this show off the list out of so many that shouldn't be on. The producers got themselves a great show that everyone enjoyed but had to rip it off the air. A good family show!

I realized that too, the family picture couldn’t take place! Aww. 😢💔Saying goodbye to Young Sheldon, no I’m not ready! You can never really be ready for death ever. No matter how the death occurred. It’s always incredibly difficult, hard, sad, painful etc. Death isn’t a natural thing. God never planned for death in His plan(s). Thus it’s always gonna be very hard to accept.
Such a sad ending to a great show i personally hate that the show is ending i don't think George and Mandy will be as successful without the rest of the cast especially Missy who was such a huge part of the success of that show it feels like alot to wrap up in just an hour also explain to me how they time jump to an older Sheldon who is grown up and married yet they are going back in time with the George and Mandy show this fall??

There's something screwed yup with this, back in The Big Bang Theory , when Sheldon and Leonard go to Texas to see George Jr.(Dr. Tire), George said the Sheldon was in Germany as visiting professor when his father died. So what gives?

This is the way Sheldon viewed his childhood after Sheldon became a husband and father.

Though the plot was the BEST, I believe the delivery was kinda OFF. They didn't really show the death, or even warn us. It was just a cut to one scene to another.. Other than that, this was so sad and I'll miss George Cooper!
