Mom and I always would say “. good night , I love you “ or end a call I love you.” The night before she took her life, I sat her down and explained how I loved her for a long time and holding her hands. I had the best uneasy feeling very ominous was going to happen.
What was heartbreaking to me was the way Sheldon coped, everyone assumed he didn’t care and no one really offered him comfort he hardly knows how to manage in general let alone when his dad died I wouldn’t have cried so hard if it wasn’t for his reaction to the tragedy
Everyone grieves differently. Of course Missy is young and doesn't understand that, but it seemed that the adults did. Can we talk about how superb the acting was there? You could feel the shock and him trying to wrap his head around it all and with no words spoken. It really did make the tears that much worse. Just wanted to hug him.
When my grandad died, it was basically the first death I've experienced on the family. I had no reaction, I was pretty young back then, a child. He had been in the hospital for a while, so I guess somehow I was expecting? I mean, he was 92 years old and had some complications that sent him to the hospital. Anyways, my brothers were questioning me, saying, "why aren't you crying? Why you're not sad?" and I didn't know how to answer. I wish my parents were more empathic with me and explained to my brothers that everyone processes grief differently and, as a child, I had my way to feel and express grief... Even when my other grandparents passed away, I didn't cry. They're old, it's expected, I can only cherish the moments we had together and hope they're happy wherever they are.
The fact that meemaw was the first one to start crying when they said I’m sorry after Mary asked where George is. Because she knows what losing someone is like.
he was a good father honestly. can’t say the same about every father but he was there when his family needed him to be, he supported his wife, kids, and loved his granddaughter so much.

This has to be the most heartbreaking episode in all of BBT/YS. The acting is impeccable and the writers really pulled out all the stops to make this so emotional. Even though we all knew it was coming, I didn't expect it to play out like this. The way Mary's eyes go wide like she's trying to hold it together, the instant tears and sincere wobble in Missy's voice, to the pure shock on Sheldon's face... Should come with a warning that you will need tissues.
I lost my grandma to heart failure last year, but i feel even more terrible for my sister, because it happened the day after her birthday. She had been in the hospital for a few months now because she had heart surgery, she had to have another surgery because the healing wasn't going very well, but she sent a gift to my sister through my aunt, and my sister didn't get the chance to thank her for the birthday gift, and none of us got the chance to say goodbye.
