i think i know why the one minecraft user can not be killed when even when taking a fall. i suspect it has to do with the anti cheat and ban plugins. if someone falls from a high place they are going to accelerate to a speed such to exceed the threshold set by the anti cheat plug. since speed is the only metric being used there is no way to know if the speed is caused by an elytra suit or glitching into the wall or a fall it only sees the speed. from other videos on minecraft i have seen i think from the perspective of the other users the cheater just vanishes when the anti cheat plugin bans the user. so i think what is happening is the person falls off or is pushed off a high platform they accelerate to and exceeds the threshold set by anti cheat plugin. then the plugin bans the user in mid fall the person vanishes. then when the ban is lifted and they come back on since the fall is not saved they are considered survived. a fix for the plugin is to record other metrics like. 1. was the person wearing the elytra suit? 2. was they pushed off a high place? 3. did they fall off a high place? 4. did they clip into a wall? (some games like tombraider 2 this is how to transport to higher places like the roof of lara's mansion). 5. what masks, armor what ever was they wearing at the time. then if death was intended the fall would continue once the ban is lifted and the person comes back on. anyone who accidentally saved tombraider 2 while in mid fall and botched their save like that knows that when they reload the fall continues from moment of save when they reload. when it comes to glitched or buggy items like the tarantula boots in skyblock then the anti cheat plugin should also check the exact version of the boots being used and if it is the faulty pair then put up a warning something like "these boots are not supported please upgrade to newer version"* and dont rely on the version number reported by the plugin but maybe do a hash like md5 or something. *= that is if the items are plugins it may be possible that they are built into the game.
