So Scrabble Knockout music was used in Battleship, Scrabble Scream music was used in the Community Chest, Scrabble Flash, and Scrabble lightning music was used in Jenga.
I think Marc Summers should've hosted this show- he was a capable host on the Woolery version, during a Game Show Hosts' week, as Chuck played the game. So he could've done well here. (I'm thinking Justin Willman was only the host because he had previously hosted HubWorld, the Hub's sort-of SportsCenter/ET hybrid that only lasted one season.)
Tim Mischka well I don’t think Justin is that bad of a host because after he did this he hosted win lose or draw on Disney and to be honest I think the only bad about either of these shows were the time slots they were given by the networks
For some reason Hasbro accidentally mistakes this as "Boggle Showdown" despite there was already a Boogle game show made years prior and the Hub never made a new Boggle game show
It's not a mistake, it's a region thing. In some areas Scrabble is called Boggle...when this was sold in other countries it had to be called Boggle Showdown. It's just a name rights issues in different territories.
This is the first time I've seen this, and this isn't bad. Prizes for winning each round and decent prizes. The host is okay, but I agree that Marc Summers would've been good for this. My only gripe would be with be with the set. The scrolling marquee in the background looks distracting. It would have to go. Otherwise, not a bad game. Would love to see an end game or "bonus game" for the trip tickets. Thanks for another great upload.
No, we shot it at Hollywood Center I think...and it's the pir bell because during production, I needed a BELL and that's what I had on my hard drive! ;)
+Rachel Gibson It was decided, so the first episode was one of the best, we taped a bunch of episodes and then we picked one that we all agreed was one of the best, and then marked that as the DEBUT. We then taped a special intro saying it was the debut episode. So as this was the FIRST AIRED, this was our 4th episode we shot.
I saw Scrabble Showdown is being reaired on DiscFC. It's Saturday 5AM but I DVR'ed it. I saw two episodes where players pull tiles out of a bag after winning a round and it was 1 tile for the first game, 2 tiles for the second, and 3 tiles for the first although most of the ones I remember are of the format of this episode). How many episodes of that format were aired? Was that the first format used and then they changed to the more familiar format?
1st aired episode. Game shows with new players each episode often air episodes out of production order. The 1st 2 taped episodes, the pilots, had noticeably different lighting and slightly different rules for some of the games.
This game show was originally going to be boggle themed. But because most of the things are scrabble stuff, Hasbro Studios probably decided to dump Boggle and go with Scrabble instead.
Why would thew show you the letters before the clue??? I knew the words before he even said anything. Just a bad game show all the way around. Will be the only episode I watch.🙁
I didn't mean the only video on your channel. Unless your channel is only this scrabble game show. Is it? I guess I should've made that clear. Sorry about that.
I was commenting on "just a bad game show all the way around", I don't really agree with that, but since I helped to create it, maybe I'm biast! ;) No, I have lots of stuff on my channel!
That’s my childhood I remember that grand prize tickets to anywhere
So Scrabble Knockout music was used in Battleship, Scrabble Scream music was used in the Community Chest, Scrabble Flash, and Scrabble lightning music was used in Jenga.
Also the tile music was used in Yahtzee
This is actually the first episode. Justin says "the first episode of Scrabble Showdown"
You can thank Hasbro for broadcasting the episodes out of order.
First to Air on TV
Well, if you don't count the three pilots
We did not make 3 pilots. We didn't make a pilot, the series went right to air.
@@SuperUkcats there's production order and then you know... Airing order
Scrabble Flash was also done in "Family Game Night"
I remember watching this on the Hub...
Welcome To The Series Premiere Of Scrabble Showdown!

I mean, HUBworld was a pretty goo show for tis target demographic

For some reason Hasbro accidentally mistakes this as "Boggle Showdown" despite there was already a Boogle game show made years prior and the Hub never made a new Boggle game show

Or a bonus game for spending money on the trip, up to like $2500 or $5000
Can you upload the rest of the episodes please?
the critically underrated discovery family game show
AKA The Hub Network which they need to Rebrand back to
12:40-12:45 name of song?
That was used in Jenga
Katy and Nate are going to Bali
Was this shot at CBS TV City? They use TPiR bell!
No, we shot it at Hollywood Center I think...and it's the pir bell because during production, I needed a BELL and that's what I had on my hard drive! ;)
Unbelievable getting the Z and the Q!
Is that Justin Willman from Hubworld
Yes.
And Win, Lose Or Draw On Disney Channel.
Can you upload the whole series?
I can not
Wouldn't be episode 1 if they said its a premiere?

Do you have more than just three, probably all episodes recorded in DVR.

This is more like word jumble or something. Not scrabble

Nope, always Scrabble
21:03 did anyone else hear Justin call Katy 'Jeanette'? or is it just me.
It was just you.
Why would thew show you the letters before the clue??? I knew the words before he even said anything. Just a bad game show all the way around. Will be the only episode I watch.🙁
Well thanks! :) It got cancelled a long time ago, so the point is moot! ;)
