And it’s just kids being kids. Pageant girls have expectations from the time they’re tiny. These kids are being natural kids. It just so happens it’s really entertaining for everyone.

At 1:54:10 it's one of the sweetest moments I've ever seen on any game show. Bless his heart for making an exception in her case and for showing exceptional kindness to Jane there, a woman who obviously was very grateful for what he did and I'd bet she will ALWAYS remember that kind act he did for her that day. It really was great to see a man stick his neck out for another like that and go against the rules to do what he did for her. 👏👏👏❤
There are people out there who think game show hosts are soulless, egotistical and vain... Larry Emdur is quite the opposite! You can tell that his mother did an exceptional job raising him. What a beautiful, kind soul he has to have done that for her!
I’m almost 80 so I remember wearing these styles of clothing and hairstyles. It’s a delight to see them today stirring up old memories. And the old game shows are delightful too.

Literally all game show hosts from this era need to be scrutinised!? They had TOTAL control over audiences and contestants. Of course some were the perfect gentleman that they needed to be... But a heck of a lot were NOT ok and committed serious violations ON camera.. Who knows what they did after the film stopped rolling..

It's a lot less risque when you remove the many clips from Distraction. That show seems to have been designed specifically for Jimmy Carr's style of dark comedy (he's the host) and only ran for 2 seasons

I grow cactuses and I wonder how many of those contestants needed to go to the ER after that show. I gave my mom a cactus once.... ONE TIME and she ended up at the ER to remove the spines. The spines literally cause pain even after you pull it.
As an ER nurse I did not find ANYTHING on that show funny at all. Dangerous n painful. Jamming your hands into cacti n drinking urine?? What idiot came up with that concept?
