This is the first time I've ever done a video like this, so let me know how you think I went in the comments below.
Sick breakdown man.
Makes me miss my old Remz.
Brandon Drummond glad you enjoyed the video homie 🙏
🖤🕷️
Remz 🖤🖤🙏
I hope you guys get some more of these on the shelves soon in size 11 UK please. 🙏
Makes me want to get Remz! 🔥
Do ittttttt!!
Riding remz since Haffey baby!!
Remz next skate put this mans name on it! 🙌
Good stuff Rob, just a suggestion for next time maybe better front lighting for the skates coz it was really hard to see details. Keep it up homie
seb0taj thanks for the feedback homie. I will invest in some better lighting for the next one ☺️
Most welcome homie, know collecting equipment doesn’t come easy especially in the nomadic life. From what I’ve seen if you plan on doing more like this it’ll give it more polish but you’re doing well😁
they look so good! nice job on the video Rob, love the music!! HAHAHA
WAR LAWWD they feel as good as they look bro! Haha glad you enjoyed the tunes!
Cool video! I'm a new skater and never really knew much about remz before now, they look sick.
Stuart Kelly glad to hear you enjoyed the video and it helped you know a little more about remz skates... they’re amazing 🙌
good video Rob!
Jo Zenk thanks homie! Once again, shoutout for the tip on trimming the tongue corners 🙏
@@RobKellett tip was ollies originally ;)
Oh word! Shoutout Ollie Jones 🙌
Well done on explanation on the skates and customize.
Bay fam🌉
Franco Cerella thanks brother! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏
Great review, very knowledgeable and in-depth review, thank you. Only thing I didn’t agree with was your opinion on UHMW...
boulderdashbilly thanks brother, glad you enjoyed the video 🙏 haha yeah I totally understand uhmw isn’t for everybody 😅
+1 to the OS cuffs in HR skates, I've done that on my HR2's, and it's so much better. I still use the velcro strap, but now I might try a buckle.
kipper66 you know it my dude! The standard cuffs work great, just don’t last as long as the OS cuffs when v-cut... the new straps are super sturdy though 🙌
@@RobKellett did you have to modify your OS cuffs at all? i had to cut a bit off the front as it overlapped when done up.
@@kipper66 On this particular boot I didn't have to, but I have had to do that in the past... these new HR2.5's fit the OS cuff perfectly; it wasn't even that hard to get them under the skin (sometimes it's a mission).
Savage 💪
This video is cool afffff and super informative and well made
The Victator thanks brother! Glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙏
@@RobKellett Lol no problem. Can you answer my other question about your foot length in cm? I'm a 27.3 and wondering if I can downsize into a size 8-9 with like a 9.5 liner or something
@@spade4acer Yo, I just replied my dude :) Hope it helps... If there's a skateshop close to you, I would 100% recommend going in and trying a pair on with a bunch of different liners and seeing which ones work with your downsizing.
Great channel
JUAN CARLOS CAMACHO thanks brother! Stoked to hear you like the content 🙏🙏
I was 1 of them guys who skated them without a cuff
ryan ball you got strong ankles my guy 💪 how did they feel setup like that?
Strong, but compared to his liver it ain't shit. Much love Ryan
ryan ball We all skated them cuffless up here in Kamloops too.
@@MushroomBlading oh word!! Were you skating them cuffless in the Park Killaz sections? Those are some of my all time favourite park edits...
Rob Kellett Yes! We were all cuffless in that video. That’s so awesome you know that video.
thanks for the review
Santut Kandur glad you enjoyed it brother!
I love Remz
Me too!! 😁😁😁😁
You did great bro for real if anything just get some better lighting but other then that love the stake review. It gave me a more open mind about what you can do with them Rems. I may have to look more in to them... just keep it real and don't for to have fun and Skate
Yooo! Thanks for the feedback brother! Will definitely try to get some better lighting for the next one. And for sure man, remz are and always have been super customisable 🙌
Great video love it❤️❤️ just got my first remz from a friend, the hr 2.0, and I'm in love with them.
Just a question, when we're going to see new remz skates?
Hi thanks for doing this video. My 2.5 just arrived today and I love them but want to get some red laces just to show out a bit lol..
Can you tell me what size the laces are in the front? I guess I could not be lazy and just remove and measure lol but wondered if it's common knowledge online somewhere 🤗 also are they Seba laces?
Absolutely love these boots tho they are insane!
I want those
So bad
Do itttttt!!
im USD sneaker style addict but i want this! )))
Игорь Дробинин get them, you won’t regret it!
Just as a heads up, FLT 3 frames work with 64mm. No wheel wells required. I had that setup on an m12 with blade club wheels with no rubbing ✌️
Dua lity oh man, thanks for the heads up! Sounds like a pretty dope setup bro!
Rob Kellett ha, I’m on shifts now. I just wanted to put it out there as I have seen a couple of shops and blade threads online stating it isn’t possible. Big up your new setup ✌️
Oh word!! How you finding the shifts after m12’s?
Rob Kellett as my spacial awareness dissipates with age I can whole heartedly get behind the massive soul, haha. The shifts feel pretty gangsta compared to the 40yr old ice skate mold! Hope you are vibing off your new skate, stay hip dood
Haha totally understand what you mean bro! Yeah super juiced on the new setup, best feeling skate I’ve had in a long time 🙌
I’m just getting back to aggressive inline skating . Do you recommend using the skates as they come ? I see many dudes customizing their new skates . Why is that ?
IThrow Dollarz Glad to hear you’re getting back into blading again brother! I highly recommend these skates... great right out of the box and plenty of different setup options to try without even needing additional/after market parts. Most people (myself included) customise there setups to suit their blading preference.
Look forward to seeing some clips in the new boots homie 😁🙌
Rob Kellett bro so I got the skates on Saturday . They’re definitely a complete package straight out the box but I did ride them for about an hour and a half . Fell twice . And I think I might sprained my lower back since saturday . Any advice so this won’t happen again ? Thanks for the reply brother .
always anti rocker for beginner Remz are for street aggressive go for roces
Nice Video! Can you please write down your Custom Set up? And i am a little unsure because of the size. I normally wear shoes a 42,5/43 what would you recommended for the sizing? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Mx Mck glad you enjoyed the video brother. I’m an 8.5US shoe size (roughly 26.5cm) and my setup is: Remz HR2.5 (6-7US shell), Myfit Fatboy Liners, Symetrics Frames, Konjure Kosmic Wheels and Reds Big Balls Bearings.
As far as actual modifications to the boots go, all I’ve done is cut out a small amount of material from the tongue (basically anything hidden under the toe cap). Surprisingly saves a lot of room...
I’d say for your size, you could fit the 8-9US shell but it would take a bit of work to get them feeling comfy. What I would suggest is trying some on in a local skateshop, and also try taking the liner out and putting your foot into the shell... if your heel is touching the back of the shell and there’s still about 5mm in front of your toes in the US8-9 shell then you can definitely make it work ☺️
Those are sick. Did you experience the infamous 6th toe and/or any uncomfortable feelings? Iv had mine for about a month and they have been the hardest of any skate I’ve ever had in trying to break in…by far.
I saw you still skating Remz in your Konjure edit. Do you know if they're going to release another skate? Or was the 2.5 the last one?
🙏 for that box . lol
I miss the lower Remz liners 😭 i still use old ripped remz liner
Man! I miss those liners too... i was using all my old liners up until 2018 when I used my last set until it was completely destroyed 😂
+1 on OS cuffs. also man would have done white hockey laces for the setup but thats me
OS cuffs definitely feels great! Yeah I thought about it, but the black laces that come on them are great so I figured I’d rock them and once they’re done, I’ll put some white hockey laces on there 🙌
Needs more Josh Nielsen!!!
Phil Moss haha everything needs a little more Josh Nielsen 😂🙌
@Sam I Am He's cooking something special up already!
I just wish they made bigger sizes for us do dinosaur feet guys.
Frank Zappa haha I thought they made up to size 12US?
I’m actually a 15 in US
Nice custom. How do they skate with an aftermarket liner? Does it keep the remz feel even though the internal cuff isnt attached?
Walter Smith they feel amazing man... definitely still have the remz feel! The myfit liners have those sticky dots (not sure what they’re technically called) on the heel so the liner doesn’t lift or move at all!
The stock liners that come in these skates are also amazing, but just because I’m downsizing so heavily a liner like the myfits that’s slimmer around the toe area works best for me.
Is the sizing true to size or is like the others I'm 10.5 shoes so I'll get 11.5 right? Or 11
Jake Rios they fit true to size my dude ☺️ if you’re a 10.5 in shoe you could most likely fit in the 10.
@@RobKellett thats good cause I heard about remz toe area blah blah so good thanks your awesome!
Can you send me a link for theses white soul frames and white backside plate. Thanks brah.
Yooooo! The soul plates and backslide plates are normally available from most skateshops :) and the frames are available from the adapt-brand website 🙌 hope that helps!
Yooooo man don’t hopefully you see this but i just put the same buckle on the cuff like you but mannnn it’s a bitch to tighten them any suggestions on how to tighten them ???
Yo man! So sorry I didn’t see this comment earlier... I just use the Allen key and bolts as a leaver to kind of stretch the cuff into place and then just start tightening them until it fits 😅
What size should down size to if I get the fat boy my fit liners. I wear a 10.5 in sneakers
I*
Are these gonna be sold as boot only as well? Would you recommend these or the hr2.0? The website I order from only has the hr2.0 boot only
I'm sure they'll be sold boot only as well, as that's kind of an industry standard option. I would 100% recommend these over the HR2.0 because these are a much improved version.
Rob Kellett thanks homie. I’m looking forward to riding these.
Are this boots wide? Because I have problem with my wide ankle xD
Yeah man, super wide!
Really curious how the fit on these are, I’d rather not have to upsize
Michael Boland the fit pretty true to size my dude... but I would suggest trying some on at a local skateshop if possible, just to be sure ☺️
I had the original tan remedys with no cuff a decade (or more) ago.... i loved em but they died quickly on concrete....hows yours 1month on
P.s i had the flattest royals lol, downsizing is still happening loool people never used to cut plastic out but everyone had purple toes,
bobby blues oh man, the original remedyz were some beautiful looking skates! So far, these HR2.5’s are holding up really really well! Definitely some of the most durable remz in a long time, really holding up to the high resilience name. I’ve literally been skating them everyday and they still look pretty new!
Haha yeah downsizing is definitely still a thing! The whole ‘cutting a little of the skin out’ of the toe area and switching the liners is my way of avoiding the purple toes 😂 I’ve been there and it’s definitely painful! But yeah, so far these skates are amazing!
@@RobKellett ahh good to hear man, the front soul plates on the originals were very small, you could quickly end up wearing into the toe cap if not careful...i remember everyone used to dye the tan seude, navy blue was popular!!.....how are they for sizing? They were renowned for being a little tight!...razors shima 3s all white, (they are called cult now?) And my all time fave, razors murda 2s, were also killer, i was shocked to see they havent changed much in all this time!!... if you ever get the chance, look up mike murda Johnson, brain Aragon and ....the homies [B] unique squad.....golden days mate 👍👍👍 p.s thanks for the chat
Ahh word! They’ve definitely upped the soul plates since those days with the new one piece souls! It’s funny that you mention people used to dye the old beige 0301 skates navy blue because I’ve got 2 sets of them and 1 of them I dyed dark grey/navy blue and it looked super legit!! Haha
Ah man, all the skates you mentioned are some of my all time favs! Especially the Murda 2s... some of the nicest razors ever! I’m a huge fan of so many of the OG remz, especially the all white haffeys from his killerboots section 🤤
I’m sorry skated remz for ever and they messed up something with the liner and the toe
Just gotta scrape out the excess material in the toe area, and use some different liners and they’re perfect bro 👌
I have a question. When you downsize & toe cut on remz, do you also downsize in the liner(to match the boot/shell)? Or you do get the liner the fits your regular size foot?
Robbyk
Jason Collier jfresh ❤️
How long are your feet in cm? Mine are 27.3, could I downsize into a size 8-9?
Exact same situation for me. I've read reviews saying true to size, or that you should size up, and now size down? wtf just a straight answer would be great haha
My feet are 26.5cm which is roughly 8.5US shoe size... Down sizing in these skates is definitely possible however it does take a little bit of work. With previous models it normally was a little painful for the first month as the skates wore in (even with the modifications), however with these skates its been super comfy since day one.
I should add that it's totally a preference thing... I've been skating downsized Remz since 2012 so I guess i've also gotten used to the feeling of my toes being right at the end of the skate. I can imagine that some bladers wouldn't like how that feels; but for me I like the skate being close to my foot as I feel it's more responsive. Hope this all helps homies :)
Rob Kellett Wow, so you're an 8.5 but downsize into a 6-7? Well then I could definitely downsize into an 8-9 since I'm a 9.5
I’d say you’d definitely fit them my dude ☺️ might take a little time to wear them in but once that’s done they’ll be super responsive 🙌
