The skate is super dope! I changed out the liner and swapped it with the My Fit FATBOY liner. The reason why I swapped the liners was the remz liner didn’t have that support on the side of the foot. I felt the plastic molding on the outer part of the boot and it was digging into my feet. Took out the velcro straps and put on the aluminum razors buckles and added waxed laces. Now they feel 10x better!
@@RobKellett Definitely. Sadly they just don't look the same in uk 11 haha. What fps did you film the intro in btw? Are you changing the degree of slomo at the start and end of the clip in posst to get that affect?
Ive watched this video 5 times already. I cant wait to grab a pair at the end of the month. Knowing that you can downsize a size and a half is impressive. I was a little worried being a shoe 12 but im not concerned at all anymore. Great video Rob, God bless and Skate safe.
Thanks yo! Stoked to hear you enjoyed the video :) Yeah down sizing is definitely possible but it does take a fair bit of customisation. Finding the right liner was key to making the downsize work. Skate safe yoooo
@@RobKellett definitely. I won’t be down sizing but knowing there is some fabric that can be trimmed on the boot as well as the liners is good enough. Thank you for this amazing unboxing. Not a Remz skater, but man, everything was perfectly explained in detail. Also the downsizing info is super useful. 🙌🍉
I just ordered a pair. I hope they're just as comfortable as my Haffey's were back in the day. Haven't skated in years, going to see how my old ass can hang these days. Thanks for the video 🤙
@@Targatheory unfortunately I had to send them back. The Haffy's already took a decent amount of time to break in and these are even tighter then those were, as well as a very bad change to liner design. Rocking old school razors now, feel great
@@Targatheory I made a video showing the liner flaw. The sways were on my list as well. If you need or like a wider skate, the remz are definitely not for you. USD were my skates off choice back in the day until I tried the Haffy's. And honestly, I didn't like them as much at first, but it was what I had, my USD's were actually broken and I just wanted to skate, so I lived with it. Once they molded to my feet and my feet stopped hurting, they were excellent. By far the best looking skate in there market, in my opinion. But definitely not the most comfortable for my wide ass feet.
I SKATEd Remz 05 haffey le ,0802 and hr 1.5 It feels heavy now and 43size is so floppy. Need to change liner and cuff it feels normal. But heavy. Its best style skates on the market and white Looks so good 🙏❤️
Thanks yo! Glad you enjoyed it. Remz generally fit pretty nicely without the stock liner; I'm not sure why but the stock liners have felt kinda wrong for the past few years... for example, I'm an 8/8.5US shoe and if I were to skate the stock liners I would need to skate the size 8/9US shell with most likely a size 9US Remz liner 🤷♂️ because the remz liners are quite thick around the mid foot and heel/ toe areas, they take up a fair bit of room in the skate... But, with a MyFit Liner mid foot Remz are definitely good for wide feet though.
If not downsizing they fit generally well, if you have high arches and a wide foot you may get some pressure points along the outside of your foot but a thinner liner would possibly fix that. Just my experience with remz in the past
I’m a 9.5 US but I was told I should get a 10shell. I’m considering getting the 9/8 shell and just getting a thin liner after watching this video. I have a pair of Trust MFG liners in an old pair of valos. So I’m thinking of doing that lol. Thoughts? Being. 9.5 us shoe size is a rough spot for skate sizes.😅😅
Well I'm a US10 and I currently skate the 10-11 shell and there's loads of space even with a crown liner. Looking at trying to downsize into the 8-9 shell next. And the crazy thing is as a kid I skated the 12-13 shell and never did the laces up, God knows how.
My dude! I'm so sorry I totally missed this comment 😦 I think if you're a 9.5 you would be able to fit into the 9 Shell, but would definitely need to switch the liners. I found Myfit Fatboys to work really well as they're super slim around the foot, but still nice and thick around the ankle which helps keep that OG remz comfort. Hope that helps man!
Thanks for doing this again, I love white Remz so I was chuffed to see this new HR. Out of interest what size is your foot and what size shell do you downsize into? I'm currently debating whether to play it safe and get shell 3 or try my luck with shell 2.
Hey homie, yeah I'm a 8/8.5US in shoe and downsized to a 7US shell with a 7.5US myfit liner... I would say the best/easiest way to see if downsizing is going to be possible, would be to put your foot into the shell of the skate without a liner in there... If your foot fits with a couple Millimetres of space, then you'll be able to make that work with the right liner :) hope that helps!
Hey man, just curious what size of these to get. I keep hearing they run small but is that just the liner, because I hear the shell runs large. If I wear a size 10.5 US, which size skate do I get?
There's so many options and I recommend trying them all to see what works best for you and your skating. For me the best setup was using some OS cuffs. I love the v-cut shape, as well as the stiffer plastic :)
Yeah man, I feel ya. I personally tend to stick towards black, grey or white on my skates and add colour with wheels ☺️ but I do wish there were more colour options available with remz parts. In general, I just wish there was more everything with remz haha
Yooo my mistake, force of habit to call them Fatboy liners, as that’s what I was riding previously… although, to be fair, as far as I’m aware the skinnyboy, and the Fatboy liners are relatively the same; I can’t notice a difference between the two personally 😅 thanks for picking up on the error though man, I’ll remember for next time now!

Yo homie, totally understand what you mean. I’ve found that if I set them up this way the skates don’t turn floppy ever… especially with some fresh hockey laces in there once ever couple of months. There’s a big different between flexibility and floppy-ness and I think a lot of people confuse the flexibility of remz as floppy. They don’t flop from side to side like some hardly done up razors, but they do bend when you want/need them too. Having said that, there’s definitely improvements that could be made and I’d love to voice them to remz, as I believe they’re some of the best and most unique skates on the market (just need a little tweaking)… but sadly I haven’t heard anything from the company since 2019, nor have they shown any effort in their social media/online presence since then. I thought maybe when these new white skates came out there would be a change in that side of things, but 6 months later and it’s still nothing.
