Rollerblading in 2023 is weird the hammers are gone this was a great era i started Rollerblading during the shima era and im glad i was able to be a part of that i miss all the Rollerblading companys and its all been lost but not forgotten😑
Haffey absolutely deserved that win. Especially after coming back from that gnarly slam and stepping it up even further. Taking a slam like that midway through a competition really knocks your confidence and makes it much harder to keep pushing.
I started skating in 94 and havent skated in a few years. But I never thought tricks of this magnitude would be landed with such a high percentage. Its amazing how far the sport has come.
Seriously big ups for a completely professional look at rollerblading. If only more people had your attitude and production values, we might even see it on TV again.
THIS IS OUR DECADE BLADING 2020: We can establish a central organization for all of aggressive inline. A WORLD ROLLING SERIES per say again. Featuring all the major early tournaments weighted for importance and size but include the likes of the: Winterclash, NED Bitter Cold Showdown, USA Blading Cup, USA ... We need more. Make it happen roller blade shops worldwide. UNITE.
Loved experiencing this at my local skatepark during my park rat days....definitely has Barn Burner Vibes but better...miss being at modern everyday...RIP Brett Urbas
Who is this pilot for? Fox, NBC, ESPN? Put these contests back on a major television network and the money will start coming back into rollerblading. These tricks are undeniably bigger, smoother, and ballsier than skateboarding. If this makes it's way back onto TV rollerblading will come back. It looks 100 times better now than it did then.
That contest will never be matched again. The rare set of circumstances meant that the top 6 skaters ever were all competing against each other & all at their peak. On top of that the competition forcing them to do stuff that they couldn't have otherwise done. I feel that Soichiro should have got third place.
Totally pisses me off. Both this, and the "Blading Cup" had TV runs a few years ago, and people didn't want to pay attention. Both shows were awesome, and deserved more attention.
Yeah, before they closed. They sponsored my sister for a while, she would tell me how they would constantly have talks about closing for the longest time. Didn't think it'd actually come to fruition. Really sad to see it go. It literally was the only indoor park worth riding. Everything else is outdoor, and we're known for rain. It sucks. I haven't gotten out to ride in a very long time :[
Due to the fact that technical maneuvers and landing is easier because skates are attached to your feet frees the athlete to do huge airs and precision landings. That's what makes it so impressive. Skateboarders hate because they spend years trying to control a plank of wood with the allusion of style and ease. Another thing, why would you call someone a ufcking idiot or a b!tch pussy just because they disagree? It's a little low, don't you think.
Round of applause for the people who made this. this should be on TV every week. Gone are the days of a worn out VHS, because you just had to watch Arlo's section over and over to get you pumped!!
at 23:00 minutes he's not sure who he'd give it to? Haffey's trick was way more intense then all the others. The risk factor was extremely higher then the others as well
I reckon Sizemore deserved 3rd, he always goes hard but doesn't get recognized as much as he should. Best contest I've ever seen though. Wish I never gave up skating.
We will probably never see this level of skating ever again with so many legends under one roof. Absolutely epic.

Shima shakes his shoulders like what. Haffey meanwhile did the same thing on a whole other level
Top world class event. Congratz to WRS !!
Honestly aragon is so fucking smooth even his setups look sick. That 180 over the box at 21:44 was silky smooth.
I love 180s. Relatively simple trick but just feels so good to fly around fakie
Damn this is a great concept 🤘🤘

I will be watching this on TV and hopefully can sponsor it as well one day

This is very well put together! One day will be on that TV screen again.
rollerblading needs to be in the x games again
XxX
Pulling ramps on roads. And being dragged, let go, then fly up.
Like GTA2 and the 18wheelers.

That was WAR!! Great skating!!
The production value is very good on this. Having the replays on point like this. Really good job guys.

I wish this went beyond the pilot. Would love coverage like this for every bittercold!
Arlo! Legendary skater and also a talented illustrator. So much respect.
Haffey, Kanashima, and Bolino last 16 seconds fuckin crazy
Chris Haffey is by far my favourite skater.
David Sizemore tapping the coping 3 times on his last trick was too funny. Haha.

Thanks Mate! I am officially going! Can not wait!
I inline and scooter and I liked this video. and i bet that a lot of people who scooter would actually like this!
You are one of my all time favs! You'll probably win!
The camera work on this video is much more engaging than that of Winterclash. It's a great way of engaging people in the sport.
That got so nuts...
Chris Haffey: Can't win a game of B.L.A.D.E but can win the Bitter Cold Championship... Good on him :p
true...but the rollerblading industry needs more exposure

at 23:00 minutes he's not sure who he'd give it to? Haffey's trick was way more intense then all the others. The risk factor was extremely higher then the others as well
Not to mention Shima just did a trick that almost every single other skate was doing I think all of them could shrug there shoulders
