Early and Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro A1297 hardware dGPU bypass with brightness control that will last. Big thumbs up to Mr_Long and Arda Yilmaz!!! Without those guys this repair would not be possible.

If You already flashed GMUX via DosDude1 program - You can add brightness control by removing R9704 resistor and running jumper wire from PCH to pin2 of removed R9704 (LVDS_BKL_PWM_RC line). You don't need to touch R9240 and R9242 with DosDude1 firmware since it does not have issues with blue tint on 17" model
