But no automatic. :( I hope they bring in the 6 speed auto soon, you can only shift so many gears until you're in your middle ages and leg and knee pain and various complications start.

While i understand its difficult to come up with a definitive answer as Harrier is brand-spanking-new, simple stuff like service cost, interval, warranty would have added that extra touch to the video. Also one suggestion, may be in future reviews you guys can keep aside a couple of bags that you can use in every review (same exact bags) to test the boot space. That way its very easy to judge how much space each has regardless of its a review or a comparo. But honestly, i think most would agree with me (if not all), Zigwheels is getting better and better and the go-to place for vehicle reviews. :)
Suggestions to Tata Add 1. 18 inch diamond cut alloy 2. Auto dimming irvm 3. Uptune the engine to around 160 bhp ... And forget that anyone is even closer to u
Height adjustable steering wheel Mann I don't care as much about the wheels or anything, but I'm a bit on the taller side (6'1") compared to the rest of my family and when they test drove, they found it a bit difficult to adjust to a suitable position.
@@abhishekpal70 a small percentage have phones that support wireless charging, and 4x4 is pretty useless to be honest, very few sales to for it these days and it also reduces mileage, I agree with you on the sunroof part. A sunroof would've been a welcome addition on the harrier. Most of these SUV buyers will drive the entire ownership time of the car on normals roads and maybe a bit of rough ones as well. However Tata seems to be going the wrong way, instead of strengthening their product by launching the diesel+the Hyundai Tucson Autobox asap, they will now add 4x4 by the end of this year to the harrier. A very foolish decision, that. There are plenty of potential harrier buyers, that I know that had to drop plans for the harrier after learning there is no auto box
@Shiva Bs Tata is introducing the MJD 2 in its original state of tune in the upcoming Cassini and the Revotorq isn't Fiat's in any way. I'm referring to the 3 cylinder in the Tiago/tigor and the turbo 4 cylinder in the Nexon. They are in house products.

the solid and stability feel is unmatched to harrier, how is it that you feel body roll in harrier??? I don't feel it much even in curves and bends, the in gear acceleration is phenomenal, highspeed overtaking is a piece of cake
btw, I don't know from where did tata adopt the 'deleting features method' but if you ever have a plan to buy any new tata car, buy it asap, I'm really disappointed about new tiago, tigor, hexa even nexon, some features get deleted or parts get deleted
Tata Harrier is the best in it's segment. Good review zigwheels as many auto portals keep favouring Hyundais & Marutis. Harrier will come with sunroof & auto gearbox by Diwali 2019.

I personally know senior level people in Tata Motors. Btw, Tata Harrier has outsold Compass & XUV500, a new achievement for Tata. Their new premium hatchback, Altroz will kick out hyped i20 & useless Baleno out from their segment. Lot of things lined up for this year from Tata motors. Jaguar is also going to launch it's electric i-pace in India this year. This car got some of the top global auto awards few months back.

10-15 years back Tata didn't even stand a chance to compete with the likes of Hyundai and jeep. They have come long way ahead. This comparison is big achievement for them. To be tested along with such supreme quality world class cars/SUV is truly awesome achievement. Kudos to TATA MOTORS.
The long clutch travel and tight space at pedals are actually advantageous. On harrier and compass. Its a get used to thing but long clutch travel will give you more leg movement and relaxed movement. Tight space let you place your foot in one position without having to shift legs to sides more and you wont end up mis-pedalling . Its easy to switch between accelerator and breaks where sometimes milliseconds matter.
Of all the 5-6 comparison videos, this is simply the best ! Kudos to the team for keeping it as authentic as u can! Wonder why people still drive manual when automatic cars are simply comfortable by a massive margin! Wish harrier is updated with a automatic+ sunroof+ 7 seating option ! What a car that would be !

Those ventilated seats in creata are a boon in summer here in india and i say, every car should consider it as an imp feature. Not forgetting the auto dimming inside rear view mirror which is a feature that some other cheaper cars get too..! These two features are very damn imp!

Not to hate on hyundai, but creta isn't as feature loaded as other hyundai cars are. I've seen the brochure, and I don't think you can get a combo of an automatic + ISOFIX + 6 airbags. There are a lot of goofups for a car that can cost North of 15L on road.
Awesome video. Some queries : 1.) Was the fuel efficiency in the Harrier calculated in Eco mode or Sport Mode or a mixture of all 3 modes? 2.) How is are the NVH levels within the Harrier vis a vis the other 2? 3.) How imprecise is the steering in the Harrier? Is it bad enough to be dangerous at highway speeds?

I am just waiting for some one to run a box on top of the ECU to change the diesel Harrier's power output. That coupled with some adjustable Bilsteins could do circles around any of those other cars.
Now it makes no sense to buy a 2*4 Compass. Only those wanting a 4*4 might get the Compass. Creta is just no match to Compass and Harrier. Harrier is the best out of the three all day. Tata should bring in 4*4 to erase Compass from the market.
Finally a channel that doesn't push out biased crap and go all out for the compass. Great review, Zigwheels, but seriously guys you could've added in some typical airport luggage type scenario to really show us the boot space. I'm a bit disappointed you didn't do that.

Great review! Cleared many areas which other channels doesn't! Just one dbt,can we tune the harrier engine aftermarket and make it as powerful as compass? If so how much would it take? If its less than 4 lakh ,harrier is the clear winner here😊(excluding the sunroof n so-called rich interior)

Prathamesh rivonkar the creta almost lost its grip from rear left wheel while taking the turn so better you drive a creta first before telling anyone else.. just FYI 11:55 you can see it by yourself..
Harrier's terrain control - doesn't it deserve mention? I am asking, I don't have any judgement, but they must have calibrated the ESP to give certain edge over normal FWD, or is it not? Can someone throw some light?

This might come handy in some tricky situation where we have small section of bad patch, and front wheels struggle to over come that. But I understand the reason behind not showing that on this review. If we only consider FWD of Compass, Creta, Harrier then Harrier has edge.

I still remember the accident that happened with creta where it toppled from right lane to the extreme left lane due to a faulty divider on the highways. The copassenger was sleeping but gess what... They both came out safe . So i think creta is strongly built. It realy matter how you car will perform during any unfortunate incident. Prepare for the worse & Hope for the best

Great Comparison, u should have also get Hyundai Tucson in the battle. The Harrier is no doubt a value for money car like no other and u were spot on the size n money feature of it. Still, I feel that Tata cars aren't that reliable enough. I have driven the compass of one of my relative. The clutch is too heavy n there r many issues with car.

I've seen the brochure, and I don't think you can get a combo of an automatic + ISOFIX + 6 airbags.
There are a lot of goofups for a car that can cost North of 15L on road.

1.) Was the fuel efficiency in the Harrier calculated in Eco mode or Sport Mode or a mixture of all 3 modes?
2.) How is are the NVH levels within the Harrier vis a vis the other 2?
3.) How imprecise is the steering in the Harrier? Is it bad enough to be dangerous at highway speeds?
as our beloved reviewer says- every corner.. every turn.. creta stays flat & precise..

Jeep compass most stable and build quality is excellent no comparison of jeep with these two car.... Simple jeep compass is far better
I am just waiting for some one to run a box on top of the ECU to change the diesel Harrier's power output. That coupled with some adjustable Bilsteins could do circles around any of those other cars.

Also compare these cars with xuv300, nexon, and eco sport. Though they are not in the same class, do they justify their prices.
With black roof and black alloy wheels creta and compass will be nowhere near to harrier in looks

Creta is great on driveability acceleration and brake no turbolag and also good at mileage compared to other compatators..don't judge on size

Now it makes no sense to buy a 2*4 Compass. Only those wanting a 4*4 might get the Compass. Creta is just no match to Compass and Harrier. Harrier is the best out of the three all day. Tata should bring in 4*4 to erase Compass from the market.

Finally a channel that doesn't push out biased crap and go all out for the compass. Great review, Zigwheels, but seriously guys you could've added in some typical airport luggage type scenario to really show us the boot space. I'm a bit disappointed you didn't do that.

Those ORVMs on harrier are a safety hazard, not sure how it got approved and reached production.

Great review! Cleared many areas which other channels doesn't! Just one dbt,can we tune the harrier engine aftermarket and make it as powerful as compass? If so how much would it take? If its less than 4 lakh ,harrier is the clear winner here😊(excluding the sunroof n so-called rich interior)

Harrier's terrain control - doesn't it deserve mention? I am asking, I don't have any judgement, but they must have calibrated the ESP to give certain edge over normal FWD, or is it not? Can someone throw some light?
@Tushar Kamath Thanks for the clarification. I feel, we need to let people know about this feature. This might come handy in some tricky situation where we have small section of bad patch, and front wheels struggle to over come that. But I understand the reason behind not showing that on this review. If we only consider FWD of Compass, Creta, Harrier then Harrier has edge.
Although i will buy jeep bt i truly agreed tht diff of 5 lacs compared to harrier is not justified..in 15lacs budget harrier is best...

I wasn't quite sold on the harrier's looks. But when the harrier came into the frame in the first shot it just looked better than the jeep and creta.
I still remember the accident that happened with creta where it toppled from right lane to the extreme left lane due to a faulty divider on the highways. The copassenger was sleeping but gess what...
They both came out safe .
So i think creta is strongly built.
It realy matter how you car will perform during any unfortunate incident.

No other car manufacturer can dethrone Hyundai in it's buttery smooth ride quality and hazzle free driving...... ultra Refined, perfectly tuned engine is one of the best feature of Hyundai cars🤩..... Proud to be the owner of a Hyundai car..😘... every time I drive the car it always puts very big simle on my face and heart too......kudos to Hyundai for manufacturing such a good engines.....even compass is not up to the level of creta in engine refinement.....😇

Great Comparison, u should have also get Hyundai Tucson in the battle. The Harrier is no doubt a value for money car like no other and u were spot on the size n money feature of it. Still, I feel that Tata cars aren't that reliable enough. I have driven the compass of one of my relative. The clutch is too heavy n there r many issues with car.
