Build overlord five color, took 60-70 dollars, but I am using full art proxies for queen and legion which makes the cost so much cheaper. Also got overlord from friend and hive Lord from my boyfriend so that helps.
@@GeorgeVermeulen I find that 5color generals generally are easier to build when you go base green. Searching out lands and having effects like Cryptolith Rite (or in the case of a Sliver deck, Gemhide Sliver) really does wonders for your mana stability.

Good old slivers, just found your channel, as an old sliver player I've been looking for what to get to mod my old deck, and make a commander deck, sweet advice.
I recently did a mono Green Mill deck with Sasaya, it wasn't 25 budget but it was right around the 100 mark Sasaya + the great aroura = flipped commander when playing Mana ramp
I used to play a sliver deck long ago when I was playing magic, now that I'm trying to resume playing again as I've found people to play with I wanted to try update my old deck, and this is perfect update! I have lots of the cards already, including the commander!
Is it bad that the whole time I watched this video I kept giggling to myself imagining the look on people's faces when they realize that a sliver deck just showed up to the table 😂😂. Yet another awesome video cant wait to try my hand in making this one!!
Sliver Overlord is my preferred sliver commander and I've able to get some pretty fast wins Magma Sliver and Shadow Silver. Also Amoeboid changeling is really fun to play with the Overload!
@@TheAverageNerd that would really depend on the board state. I've been in more match ups with opponents with Changling creatures then creatures with shadow.
Because overlord becomes very linear and boring when you just search up the same slivers every game. Hivelord has a great effect and every game changes based on what slivers you happen to draw.
Ahhh slivers :) yes. Slivers was the first commander deck I made. It was pretty bad then, but it’s gotten better. I don’t play it much because people get skittish about slivers for some reason.
for the upgrade section I recommend the other Sliver general, Sliver Queen. she has "2: put a 1/1 colorless token sliver on the battlefield" and is a 7/7, so she has the same as the land in the end there, except for 2 mana instead of 5. That said, she costs 60 $ so that's quite the upgrade, not sure you would even put it in the 100 $ version of this.
Actually, there is a 3. Sliver general that is cheaper to buy than this one, for 9 $ for a damaged version. Sliver Overlord. it's a 7/7 that has 3: search yuour library for a sliver and put it into your hand" and a second ability, should you play against other sliver players that says "2: gain control of target sliver". so I would absolutely put that one into this deck in the upgraded version.
My sliver deck is my pride and joy, some of my favourite combos i run include Sliver queen + mana echoes - produces infinite mana and sliver tokens Essence sliver + syphon sliver - double lifelink Amoeboid changeling + sliver overlord + hivestone - take whatever you want from whomever and it permanently get all sliver bonuses
This was one of my first commander decks I made. Granted mine was made at a cost way over $25. I did the same build type of 3 colors but i went WBG, used all the same cards outside of red. When you have hivelord and crystalline sliver in play people tend to poop themselves. Also with the easy mana fixing I run doorway to nothingness for an alternate win con. All that said loved the video, and got some new ideas for to strengthen my deck
You should give Elf tribal a shot, it’s classic and easy for new players. Ezuri, renegade leader for the commander just stack value elf’s and turn 1/1s into 15/15 tramples.
Yeah I run a mono green Ezuri elf tribal deck. Shame there isn't any other commanders as good as Ezuri for Elf tribal. There are plenty of good Elf legendaries but they aren't as a good of a commander. Like you could try a Voltron/extreme mana elf tribal using Marwyn, the Nurturer. And then there's Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen who's nice but still not as good as Ezuri. Finally you could try Rishkar but he's just a meh commander but solid ramp in Elf Tribal. There's no replacing Ezuri for Elf Tribal which is a shame.
I'd absolutely recommend a Crystalline Sliver. It's a 2/2 for WU (so you can fetch it with wild pair), and it gives all slivers Shroud. Combine that with the hive lord, and it becomes extremely difficult to remove your slivers.
A few other reasonable additions to a budget deck could be...... Dormant Sliver and Winged Sliver: @ A$1.50 and $1.00 respectively. Although they have a single blue in the cast cost, Dormant will give you a massive card draw (although you will need to sacrifice it in order to attack) And Winged because, well, FLYING, for only 2 mana. Frenetic Sliver @A$0.50 for a %50 chance negating any removal that can target your Slivers, and you also get the ETB effects upon returning. Rhonas's Monument @A$0.50, casting a good portion of your Slivers for only ONE mana, and per creature cast also gives you a +2 +2 AND trample bonus to bestow on ANY creature.
I’m probably going to make your Tatyova deck after watching that video. Love your channel a lot. It’s helped me get a somewhat better idea on how to build a deck.
He did it! Thank you for listening to my request!!! Now to find the money to make this, and to find a person who will actually trade their legendary slivers away........
Omfg I was thinking a week ago about building a good old slivers deck as i played this tribe when I started mtg back on Future sight extension... And here you come... You're a god,.. You, behind the commander quarter youtube account... Thank you so much i can't wait to see the break the bank épisode here
Slivers are fun to play, built mine to compete with my play group and immediately got hate. The only thing that I had a problem with the deck is that it revolves around your creatures. You need to at least have some type of graveyard retrieval for key slivers. Hivelord is usually my commander I stick with for finding key slivers in my deck. A fun combo to do is if your group is casual (and allowing banned cards) is Sliver Queen+Basal Sliver+Training Grounds= infinite 1/1 slivers and black mana, pair this with Overlord and get a sliver with haste and tap for any color. Boom infinite mana of any color and you can play all the slivers in your deck with the Hivelord Tutor ability. Expensive deck if you go full bore but really fun.
For the budget updates: - Change Victural Sliver for Darkheart Sliver, this sucker is way better on a reasonable price. - Dormant Sliver is also quite decent, for draw engine the only drawback is that all slivers have defender but once you have all you need just sac it - Mnemonic Sliver works too for draw and it atleast make the doomed slivers into a draw card when you sac them and if you have Opaline Sliver you might draw another one for the target effect. - Diffusion Sliver are budget Crystalline Sliver, it will force to pay 2 more for that removal. - Psionic Sliver is a badass here, all your slivers will do targeted damage to any target and 3 to themselves but with Hivelord they won't die and, as an extra, if you have Fungus Sliver they will grow regardless your opponents don't want to damage them. - Shadow Sliver should be a finisher, basically making your guy unblocable and with Poison Sliver those are 10 counters guaranteed. - Telekinetic Sliver, just for the control players, make all of your slivers Icy manipulators. It might save your life and make everyone else miserable.
DEFINITELY make a Break the Bank episode for this commander. I really want to see what these slivers can do with $100 and possibly making use of all five colors as well.
I run an optimized sliver deck based on Sliver Hivelord instead of Overlord or the others. I run all the legendaries, of course, but I prefer having Overlord, Queen, and Legion in the 99. Reason is, is that Overlord is so, so, so easy to remove if you get it out early. Hivelord is a lot more resilient, and the deck runs several tutor cards. Wargate is my favorite. Now, since I know I will always have Hivelord, I also run a lot of brutal boardwipes too, namely Rout, Supreme Verdict, Life's Finale, and Obliterate. That last one is hilarious if you have Manaweft Sliver since you can still play things and everyone else has no lands, haha.
And for a little more you can add sliver overlord witch means you can turn something into a sliver and then gain control of a target sliver(AKA) any card accept for a land.(p.s.) love your videos. ordering the deck this weekend.
What ive added to this list is Helm of the host- helps get those buffs from our creatures Coat of arms- since there all slivers they get huge Chromatic lantern- fixes mana

Hey Mitch, I've noticed a few things on some of your decks, I didn't watch this one just yet, so I can't say it's the case here, but usually they don't interact much with the opponent's boards (with things such as spot removals). For an example, your Teysa deck has no creature removal, even tho orzhov has amazing tools to do so, mind letting us know about that thought process? Anyways, all decks are still amazing and super fun, congrats.
I've played against more than one of these lists. They are terrible on their own. They fold to mass removal and cannot handle opposing threats. Unless the commander is a viable on its own (or nearly so, like how Najeela can go nuts pretty easily) these really, really need work.
@@diegog1925 except theyre not better than "casual" decks. These classifications are too arbitrary. I build casual decks. Nearly any deck I build is going to smash most of the decks posted on this channel just for running a suite of removal. $25 just isnt enough to build a deck that can exist in the general ecosystem of commander decks.
Can u plz do a budget tech of Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom and Okaun, Eye of Chaos it will be really awesome I love randomness and troll decks. U are great! Nothing else to say.
Hivelord is better in the 99, with Overlord as the commander. The reason being that Indestructible (from hivelord) doesn't save you from board wipes, while tutoring (from overlord) helps you recover faster than your opponents. Also, winged, gale rider, and crystalline slivers are must-haves, IMO. When running this many "enters play tapped" lands, consider adding in a Amulet of Vigor to instantly untap and be able to use them. Non-budget versions should also include the Legion and Queen, as well as Cavern of souls as a second sliver hive.
Door of Destinies, Coat of Arms, Beastmaster's Ascension upgrades? Not sure on the prices of the first two, but BA should be fairly cheap as it was reprinted for the precon Commander decks.
If the titles of the video said if the video was 25 with commander or without it would really help for future browse through of your videos to get an idea of just how budget they are
I have a challenge for you if you haven't already done this Reya Dawnbringer on a budget. I'm currently building her without budget restrictions, mono white reanimator IS actually possible, but I just recently spent $64 on just 30 cards for the deck, the more expensive cards are mainly things like Emeria, the Sky Ruin and other $5-8 cards, and niche cards like False Defeat which is only expensive because it's from Portal: 3K. This deck is gonna be a blast to play, I'm mainly just curious if it's even possible to build Reya on a budget.
Absolutely awesome! Have you thought about doing a budget Gitrog Monster deck? It would be super cool to see! I am a huge fan of the hypno-toad but havent been able to come up with a good budget deck. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Wild Pair, is no good once you start putting out "+* +*" Slivers, as it has then changed the total power to beyond the level of the units you tutor for.
You're doing the "Judge!"'s work. Good job. I actually took wild pair out of my sliver deck because anthems pushed them beyond something to tutor for pretty quickly.
Great deck. While Sliver Hivelord is clearly the best commander for this deck, it looks like you could choose just about any Naya commander to play this deck and still have it function well, you'll just miss out on that indestructible effect. Samut, Voice of Dissent, for example, could potentially substitute for Sliver Hivelord if you want to play this deck on a budget. You just need to fix the manabase a bit if you want to play like that. I imagine the indestructible effect is incredibly valuable, though, especially with those "destroy all creatures" cards
See I have access to cards like path of ancestry hearlds horn etc (Bought two of the C17 decks) and pulled first sliver but this is still excellent and helped me finish the deck
You missed shifting sliver slivers can only be blocked by slivers. for a last turn move shadow sliver only last turn those played with shadow know why.

If you really want to ramp up this deck, swap in Sliver Overlord as your commander. 7/7 monster for WUBRG that you can then fetch your Hivelord with and then build them up systematically as you see fit. To really end things, grab up Sliver Legion which pumps all your slivers insanely.

I'm curious about this too. Atraxa is light on removal and has no sweepers
I've played against more than one of these lists. They are terrible on their own. They fold to mass removal and cannot handle opposing threats. Unless the commander is a viable on its own (or nearly so, like how Najeela can go nuts pretty easily) these really, really need work.
Probably the whole budget aspect of the decks/the fact that they’re built around being better than casual, but not competitive.
Hivelord saves you from board wipes that destroy, such as "destroy all creatures".
I've been wanting to build this commander since I opened both the commander and the hive land in back to back packs
I love hunters insight, definitely an underrated cared, I love seeing it used!

*_LETS GO!!_*
This looks awesome, didn’t think it was possible to build slivers in this budget!
Great I love slivers
I would like to see one from Ezuri, Claw of progress
I actually discovered some nice new cards here! Thanks for your hard work and nice explanations!
Naya splashing Dimir
👏👏👏
Beautiful
yes pretty much this deck is Naya slivers with "oh yea we also have these other colors"
Door of Destinies, Coat of Arms, Beastmaster's Ascension upgrades?
Not sure on the prices of the first two, but BA should be fairly cheap as it was reprinted for the precon Commander decks.
If the titles of the video said if the video was 25 with commander or without it would really help for future browse through of your videos to get an idea of just how budget they are
I have a challenge for you if you haven't already done this
Reya Dawnbringer on a budget.
My buddy HATED my Sliver Hivelord deck. I took it apart but kept all the cards for when I felt like bringing it back
Absolutely awesome!
I was looking for someone to say this in the comments. Glad I don't have to be the bearer of bad news.
You're doing the "Judge!"'s work. Good job. I actually took wild pair out of my sliver deck because anthems pushed them beyond something to tutor for pretty quickly.
Awesome again.
Would love to see a deck tech on Tomorrow Azamis Familiar. Sounds very fun for a commamder with the right cards
Guardian Project is an amazing EDH card and I feel is sorely underrated, even if it is 4 CMC.
Agreed!
Thanks for the video. I bought this deck using the info u left in the link. Thanks again Cass
2 golden pigs wow. Really awesome deck now.😊
Budget commander slivers? Sir, you have given me a gift!
Glad you liked it!
I would like to see an Aurelia War Leader deck because im currently working on it and love to see a budget version
What about pulmonic sliver? Flying and can put slivers on top of deck if they're sent to graveyard
The Hive calls me in, gotta play these slivers !
Nice!
I was hoping you would do a Hivelord Deck! Would love to see a $100 version!
Edit: Just checked your playmats, but no post to Australia 😭
See I have access to cards like path of ancestry hearlds horn etc (Bought two of the C17 decks) and pulled first sliver but this is still excellent and helped me finish the deck
Awesome commander deck as usual Mitch thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Ty so much for this deck tech. Btw I would love to see a doran deck in the future just a suggestion.😀
Just a suggestion but a Mizzix might just be powerful enough to build a focused deck in the $25 budget
It's crazy the way these decks increase in price over time! Make decks so good the cards appreciate in value 😎
You missed shifting sliver slivers can only be blocked by slivers. for a last turn move shadow sliver only last turn those played with shadow know why.
I prefer the overlord but this is certainly a powerful creature. I obviously run him on my overlord deck.
great deck tech!!! i was really suprised at the amount of cheap budget slivers their are! Keep up the good work. Hopefully you guys can do a budget Enchantress deck maybe Karametra or better yet do a Budget Tuvasa the Sunlit edh tech. definitely will subscribe to this channel in future
Would love to see an elf tribal, something i find cool is Karador or nath elf tribal, or like yeva/marwenn/freyalise.
If you really want to ramp up this deck, swap in Sliver Overlord as your commander. 7/7 monster for WUBRG that you can then fetch your Hivelord with and then build them up systematically as you see fit. To really end things, grab up Sliver Legion which pumps all your slivers insanely.
Wow your voice was so different back in 2019... Way deeper
Great break down. Thanks.
Thanks!
You should do a deck based around Szadek, Lord Of Secrets. I used to play him but I dont think my deck was very good lol
I love this video; thank you for showing slivers some love ^_^
I have a close friend that loves sliver, I may buy this deck as a gift! what are the most cut ready slivers/cards for "stronger" slivers you listed?
Damn I literally built this deck for a friend for Xmas... Could have used this video a lot lol still a great video as usual. Keep them coming!
Sorry I was a little late 😉
Bruh I’ve been wanting a budget version of this ! Thx
