I mean, if we are running 2/1 Myr's, 1/1 Thopters, or a large number of 4/1 Combat Celebrants, why not add Tetsuko Umezawa? Having an infinite number of extra combat steps using an army of 4/1 creatures that are unblockable just seems like pure gold.
I'm a little late, but just to note, if you're running an infinite amount of combat steps and are producing a 2/1 each combat, it doesn't matter if they're unblockable because you should be able to overpower any amount of creatures, not counting for creatures with indestructible.

Great build! I spent around $100 upgrading the precon and you had some cards in here that I’m now kicking myself for not getting. This deck seems like a lot of fun. A friend in my playgroup just makes copies of wurmcoil engine and we all cry for the rest of the night. Still fun, if not a bit soul crushing.
Very cool deck. I tried to brew a brudiclad deck and it was very hard to make a good balance of everything. This commander want you To make so much things happen at the same time. You killed it man! Great deck!
So I built brudiclad awhile ago, and I feel that this deck is perfect for a budget infinite mana/token combo that I love to use. Simply have 5-6 tokens and brudiclad out, then cast a cog cogwork assembler (3) followed by a powerstone shard (2) you need (7) to copy powerstone once with CA. Go to combat, make a myr token, then Copy powerstone shard with brudiclad. If done right you should have 7 copies, so it taps for (7), copy again new one taps for (8) you now have infinite mana to make infinite haste tokens of any artifact.
I was at my tournament last night and one of the players suggested I switch my commander from Saheeli to Brudiclad. The timing couldn't have been better.
Saheeli is stronger than brudi but not as funny... You do use tokens and all, but the ideal build is a big mana controlish deck. Once you cast it that betrays/promised end for free... Its scary. But hiting the friend with 20.000 sharding sphinx is funnier.
With Krenko and Helm of the Host I made thanks to Brudi about 500.000 damage in the last round xD Great Deck! I put more graveyard interaction like Feldon in and more spells to steal the opponents creatures and it's the most fun deck I played. Really strong too, unbeaten until today, after about 15 matches and rematches.
My brudiclad just got promoted and earned himself a separate deck from my precon because of this video!! Great content as always! Hoping to see gameplay videos soon! Just to add hour of need is great as key token for that lethal combat or a good removal in times of drastic need. I also run for now primordial mist to have that manifest of trap card feel on the deck, I build him more on instant or sorcey (with decent amount of counter spells that are budget as well) and added gutter snipe (copy him) and cast a instant or sorcery you know what will happen :)
Thanks for the video! They are always filled with so much information at an easy to understand level. I'm relatively new to mtg and am learning so much. I am waiting for the day you make a Narset deck. Its one of the few cards I have so far and feel like it is so good.
Another good card to go in there is "Coat of Arms". When the artifact enters the battlefield, you choose a creature type. Each creature with that type gets +1/+1 for each other creature with that type. If you're really going crazy with a whole lot of different token creatures, then use "Coat of Arms" to turn them all into one creature type and use you commander's ability.
Coat of Arms applies to each creature in play, which is fine if you don't play against too many tribal decks. Obelisk of Urd might be a good one-sided choice? You only pump +2/+2 but it does have convoke and you get to choose the creature type.
Great Token spam deck, i can imagine the entirety of our tables filled to the brim with tokens! Other great cards to protect yourself and gain advantages for your non artifact stuff: - Darksteel Forge (expensive but worth it to protect all the artifact tokens we'll be making) - Padeem, Consul of Innovation (great for having hexproof and card draw) - Inspiring Statuary (All of our nonartifact spells will have improvise so that we can cast them for a lot less) - Sai, Master Thopterist (Great for more tokens when we play artifact spells, and drawing cards when we can sacrifice tokens) -Master of Etherium (All of our artifacts get +1/+1 and we get a heavy hitter to create copies of) Some of these are slightly more expensive but definitely worth it for going all out in a deck like this
Ugh, filled to the brim with tokens, this is true. It's a pain in the butt to figure out all the tokens...at least until you turn them all into 1 the first time. I will also mention that keeping track of Karn tokens is still incredibly annoying since their power/toughness is determined by how many artifacts you control. Just since I'm responding to this, I got to thinking that Sai wouldn't be very good. My actual Brudiclad doesn't actually have all that many artifacts in it other than the usual amount any other deck would run. It's mostly creatures that etb with tokens, or instants/sorceries that create tokens.
I play this deck as my pet deck and one thing for sure to keep in mind well playing is once people play against it a few times thay start to learn that this deck can win fast and will try to keep your tokens off the bored so I recommend play as many card that give you tokens each turn My deck is a bit less budget friendly but if you want powerful card and have some money to put in it then here are some options Karn scion of urza: powerful tokens and card “draw” bit expensive but a really good choice Saheeli, the gifted: tokens and makes things cheaper because a lot of tokens in this deck are artifacts and her Final ability is just great Feldon of the third path: good to get back win cons Tezzeret artifice master: tokens card draw and his final ability most of the time means you win The locust god: tokens and cared draw which makes more tokens Most of these have card draw as part of them because I found card draw can be a bit hard you can Turn your tokens in to clues but at my group most people will punish you for that so I’ve put in some more card draw anyway that’s some good cards for the deck for anyone who wants a bit more power
This deck looks like a good place for one of my personal favorites - Cultural Exchange. Use it to swap a bunch of 1/1s for the best of an opponents creatures, then proceed with whatever you planned to do. :)
Also notice that since it targets players, you can swap shrouded/hexproof creatures too. And you don't even have to swap your own stuff, you can swap between two opponents. I personally use it in a Riku + Squirrels deck. :D
Before seeing this I had recently made a brudiclad EDH deck, I had sharding Sphinx from the saheeli precon and I instantly found out how strong it was, my favourite is prototype portal with sharding Sphinx, then proceeding to attack with all of my 4/4 flyers.
Okay so this is gonna be a possibly long story So I saw these videos and decided to get an event organized at my LGS to do a $25 budget commander event in honor of a friend. I chose to build around Brudiclad, this was about a month ago. This deck is very similar to the one I'm building xD but there are a few differences. Cards you guys missed and cards I missed so thanks :)
i know it was 6 months ago, but any chance of getting a reply with a TLDR list of differences from you, for me and the video comments? :3 some peeps like to check the comments for alternative ideas!
I'm not even halfway through the video and I already know how it upgraded it and thx for the phelddagrif deck i changed it and now everyone loves playing against my quotes" don't hug me I'm scared"prison deck
Best upgrade - expensive - Karn, Scion of Urza. (Create it's token, then copy it for huge artifact tokens). Cheap - Hamletback Goliath - (create a token of it, and watch out the math just gets crazy!!!).
So one of my favorite cards in my brudiclad deck is flash 1U put a creature card on to the battlefield and pay it’s cost reduced by 2, if you don’t sacrifice it. I pretty much never pay the cost but by matching it with an etb or dies trigger i can get some of my best creatures on the battlefield as a token for 3-5 mana.
Dual Caster Mage is a combo card that can allow you to go infinite with tokens that I think would be worth considering. Play clone spell targeting a thing Hold priority to flash in Duelcaster Mage Use Dualcaster to copy the clone spell Have the copy clone spell clone Dualcaster Use the cloned Duelcaster to copy the origional clone spell Repeat till satisfied with your army of 2/2s You can also pair with Saheeli's Artistry to copy other things along the way.
One card I haven't seen mentioned is Shared Animosity. Unsure of the price but it's a great card for this deck since Brudiclad makes all your tokens the same type.
Reef Worm is the MVP of this deck... Won me a couple of multiplayer games because they need like 3 bordwipes to get rid of it when you manage to copy it several times with brudiclad or other cards
I love your videos. Just a suggestion. I would consider to move the Mana producing stuff at the end instead of the beginning. This section in all videos is very similar and the customization (giving the budget) is minimal. Anyway, thanks for your videos.
I miss the good old Mishras selfreplicator. If you get him early out and play it with tron lands then it is getting out of hand so fast. I remember a game where i had about 50 selfreplicators on board. Then take the cogwork assembler and copy brudiclad or something funny an swing at all your enemys at the same time. Ridicolously fun to build a deck around brudiclad. I like your deck techs very much. I get a lot of inspiration of them!
Hey Commanders Quarters, Commander Replay here. A number of my subscribers have been asking me to play some your decks on my channel. I told them I wanted to chat with you about it first. One of them also mentioned you were looking to get some gameplay going. Let me know if you know are interested in working together on some stuff. Let me know if you're interested and I can send you my email and we can chat in private. Cheers. -PJ
If you build the deck to make a lot of goblin tokens then Goblin Piledriver starts out being OK. But then a possible win condition could be to make a token version of Goblin Piledriver with one of the blue spells that make single clone tokens (wonder if any of those don't target like the clone creatures, since piledriver is protection from blue) or Mimic Vat or Helm of the Host. Then choose Piledriver token with Brudiclad to make all tokens Goblin Piledrivers.
If you add a dualcaster mage (under a dollar i think), you'll have the option to occasionally go infinite with twin flame. I like having an infinite option as a last resort.
a good idea is to run jace, cunning castaway. his ultimate u can make tokens that are copies of him that arent legendary, then make all ur tokens a copy of him at combat and -2 with all of them, creating a shit ton of 2/2 illusions
1 creature that i recommend and is also budget. It's hellrider its 2rr devil with an effect hellrider deals 1 damage to an opponent for each creature attacking. I had moments i had 10 hellriders and attacked with only 4 creatures and deal 40 damage on the attack step
Funny enough this concept started off as a podcast idea, but then I moved and my podcast buddy was in a different state and we couldn't make that work.
Golden Guardian. I believe it's only a buck or so, but it's a 4 drop 4/4 golem with defender and "2: This fights another creature you control. when this creature dies this turn, return it to the battlefield transformed" and when transformed it becomes a land with T: add two mana of any color, and 4,T: create a 4/4 artifact golem creature. It's a nice body for defense, you have plenty of targets for it to fight mid block to get it's death trigger, and once it transforms it's ramp and spits out some nice 4/4 tokens. make an army of thopters from thopter assembly into 4/4 beaters isn't going to end well for your opponent. Mye Turbine is also a buck or so, and is a 5 drop artifact with T: make a 1/1 myr, and also T, tab 5 untapped myr: tutor a myr creature and put it into play. while the tutor is basically useless, the myr every turn is not. and trust me, no one ever thinks to nuke this thing till all those weak myrs somehow kills them. Feldon of the Third Path is again a few bucks at best, but it's absolutely AMAZING in this deck. he's 1 and two red for a 2/3 with 2R,T: create a token that's a copy of target creature from your graveyard, except it's an artifact in addition to everything else. it gains haste. sac it at the beginning of the next endstep" which basically means take your biggest nastiest cruilest beater, and have fun making an army of it. Hanweir Battlements, you already use the other card that melds with it, it's less then a buck, and if both are out becomes an eldrazi that makes 3/2 eldrazies when it attacks. not a bad option. I could probably come up with more, artifacts have so many ways of getting tokens it's hardly fair.
@@TheCommandersQuarters Oh, and a personal favorite. Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang. It's a 6 drop legendary equipment that gives +5/+5 and equips for 3, but it also has "6, Exile Tatsumasa, The Dragon's Fang: Create a 5/5 blue dragon spirit token with flying. when this token dies, return Tatsumasa, The Dragon's Fang to the battlefield under it's owner's control." Which is a nice way to get a pretty nice token type. can't beat turning an army of thopters or myr into a horde of dragons, and if nothing else the +5/+5 from the equipment can certainly do some work.
It's been a while since this decktech, but with the release of "Extravagant Replication" from New Capenna Commander, I was thinking how bonkers Brudiclad could be once you start making all tokens you have being the same enchantment like Hive Mind, or if you get one of those "no legend rule" cards out, planeswalkers.
If you want a style of brudiclad that focuses not on making big creatures,, but one that can allow you to use the creation of thopters and even swinging / tapping them, some good ideas will be using cards like altar of the brood to make opponents mill one for every permanent that comes on the field, statue of the god pharoh to make opponents take damage for each tapped creature, cavalcade of calamity to deal as much damage to enemy opponent / Planeswalker for as many attacking 1 power creatures, and using creatures or artifacts that allow you to reduce costs, make tokens easily, and allow your creatures to not be hurt. Creatures like heldaken humiliator to make your opponents creatures become 1/1's with no powers if you control 3 or more artifacts, padeem to give all your artifacts hexproof and for card draw, myr battlesphere allowing you to maximise the damage with statue of the god pharoh for those tapped out myr's, etherium sculptor, jhoira's familiar, and other similar creatures/artifacts that reduce costs, echo storm to make a copy of any artifact and copying the spell for each time you've cast your commander, doublecasr to double any other instants/sorceries you have, isochron sceptor/dramatic reversal to make infinite Mana, and ofc you would NEED soul foundry, prototype portal, and mimic vat to maximise your token making potential, along side artifacts like mirror works, unwinding clock, and if you can afford or make proxies fir them, mycosynth lattice, nevriyall's disk, and darksteel forge Also.cards like saheelis artisty to allow you to pull it all out since you can tap any artifact for 1 colorless
I'd add a desolation twin, 10 generic cmc for a 10/10 that makes a 10/10 token. Come combat, turn all tokens into that and swing. If it doesn't kill your opponent it'll at least hurt.
I built a brudiclad deck and it ended up being stronger then i thought it was but when people wipe the board because of you, you start to rethink how strong it is.
I just played a game with this deck where I copied my friend's river boa (a 2/1 with island walk) and made 23 tokens of it at a table where everyone was playing blue.
two cool upgrades to consider : aetherflux reservoir and sentinel tower. make a token of one of them, and then you can turn your army of weenies into an army of deathstars. also, are there any plans for a deck with two of the original partner commanders?

Oh damn, how did you read my mind? I was just thinking about making a budget Bruniclad deck
Nice!
Yes! Ive been waiting for this one
Nice!
Dude! Awesome video. I've been waiting for a Brudiclad for a while
(Dat Sharding sphinx tho)
Thanks!
I was surprised not to see kreno, mob boss in this deck. Imagining the amount of goblins you could have just blows me away.
I was just thinking oh boy would I like a budget bruniclad and boom thank you so much
Nathaniel pittman no problem!
An interesting deck indeed, been enjoying the gishath and scarab god decks might have to build this one
Nice!
This one, Jodah, and Zada are my favorites so far.
Definitely some of my favorites too!
I play this deck as my pet deck and one thing for sure to keep in mind well playing is once people play against it a few times thay start to learn that this deck can win fast and will try to keep your tokens off the bored so I recommend play as many card that give you tokens each turn
My deck is a bit less budget friendly but if you want powerful card and have some money to put in it then here are some options
Karn scion of urza: powerful tokens and card “draw” bit expensive but a really good choice
Saheeli, the gifted: tokens and makes things cheaper because a lot of tokens in this deck are artifacts and her Final ability is just great
Feldon of the third path: good to get back win cons
Tezzeret artifice master: tokens card draw and his final ability most of the time means you win
The locust god: tokens and cared draw which makes more tokens
Most of these have card draw as part of them because I found card draw can be a bit hard you can Turn your tokens in to clues but at my group most people will punish you for that so I’ve put in some more card draw anyway that’s some good cards for the deck for anyone who wants a bit more power
Great considerations!
The Commander's Quarters
So this is amazing I didn’t expect anyone to see this because the episode has been out a while
This deck looks like a good place for one of my personal favorites - Cultural Exchange. Use it to swap a bunch of 1/1s for the best of an opponents creatures, then proceed with whatever you planned to do. :)
That is hilarious haha
Also notice that since it targets players, you can swap shrouded/hexproof creatures too. And you don't even have to swap your own stuff, you can swap between two opponents. I personally use it in a Riku + Squirrels deck. :D
Before seeing this I had recently made a brudiclad EDH deck, I had sharding Sphinx from the saheeli precon and I instantly found out how strong it was, my favourite is prototype portal with sharding Sphinx, then proceeding to attack with all of my 4/4 flyers.
Nice a burdiclad builld. As we speak i am building mine. One card that could be added is: gargoyle castle
Nice! And a good consideration!
Okay so this is gonna be a possibly long story
So I saw these videos and decided to get an event organized at my LGS to do a $25 budget commander event in honor of a friend. I chose to build around Brudiclad, this was about a month ago.
This deck is very similar to the one I'm building xD but there are a few differences. Cards you guys missed and cards I missed so thanks :)
Nice!
i know it was 6 months ago, but any chance of getting a reply with a TLDR list of differences from you, for me and the video comments? :3
some peeps like to check the comments for alternative ideas!
I'm not even halfway through the video and I already know how it upgraded it and thx for the phelddagrif deck i changed it and now everyone loves playing against my quotes" don't hug me I'm scared"prison deck
Haha nice!
Back from the brink would get some good use in this deck since it has a bunch of enter the battlefield effects on creatures.
Best upgrade - expensive - Karn, Scion of Urza. (Create it's token, then copy it for huge artifact tokens). Cheap - Hamletback Goliath - (create a token of it, and watch out the math just gets crazy!!!).
Great considerations!
I love Brudiclad!!!😁😁😁😁
I just wish one day we get an actual myr commander😅😅😅
Me too!
This deck looks really fun. I want to see it in action!
It is!
Every time I see aether hub I hope eventually there's going to be an interesting energy commander
Maybe in the future!
I had the Sahelli deck and managed to make a copy of brudiclad and chaos insued as his number doubled every turn and became an unblockable army
Brudiclad really looks fun. So much value xD
Indeed!
Dual Caster Mage is a combo card that can allow you to go infinite with tokens that I think would be worth considering.
Play clone spell targeting a thing
Hold priority to flash in Duelcaster Mage
Use Dualcaster to copy the clone spell
Have the copy clone spell clone Dualcaster
Use the cloned Duelcaster to copy the origional clone spell
Repeat till satisfied with your army of 2/2s
You can also pair with Saheeli's Artistry to copy other things along the way.
Definitely a good consideration!
Super good with all the clone spells but especially good with Twinflame. I have it in my Brudiclad build and it's awesome.
Very nice. I knew he was good but I didn't fully grasp just how good he was
One card I haven't seen mentioned is Shared Animosity. Unsure of the price but it's a great card for this deck since Brudiclad makes all your tokens the same type.
Unfortunately it's a little too pricey, but a good reasonable upgrade!
Reef Worm is the MVP of this deck... Won me a couple of multiplayer games because they need like 3 bordwipes to get rid of it when you manage to copy it several times with brudiclad or other cards
If you find the time, I would love to see a deck on Gallta, primal hunger.
Would be a fun one!
Can you build Brudiclad next?. Sorry, couldn't resist. Well done. Lots of fun parts to play with.
Haha thanks!
Sharting sphinx sounds powerful
Currently working on a version of this that uses things like [[Murmuring Mystic]] and [[Talrand]] along side spell slinging to generate tokens
I love your videos. Just a suggestion. I would consider to move the Mana producing stuff at the end instead of the beginning. This section in all videos is very similar and the customization (giving the budget) is minimal. Anyway, thanks for your videos.
Definitely a good thing for me to consider!
Oh nice! And thanks! Glad you are enjoying them!
Hell yeah ^^, now waiting for Tawnos
Maybe in the future!
*squee* I love Brudiclad, the moment I picked up C18, I tossed Saheeli into the 99 and ran with Bro-diclad instead
Nice!
Cheers.
-PJ
Hey PJ, thanks for reaching out! Yeah let's chat about this, just hit me up on my facebook page and send me a message there!
YES FINALLY :’D
Can’t wait to buy this list once I get my golden pig playmat
Nice!!!
That could get insane!
I was relieved when the 9th and 10th tactics came around. I was wondering when you'd get to copy abilities.
Haha that would have been bad if I messed that up
I had been trying to think of a way to do exactly this with Saheeli, the Gifted. To no real avail.
Yeah it's just a different kind of strategy
If you add a dualcaster mage (under a dollar i think), you'll have the option to occasionally go infinite with twin flame. I like having an infinite option as a last resort.
Indeed!
OMFG THE ONE DECK THAT I WAS GONNA MAKE NEXT HOLY SHIT THANKS, I WAS ABOUT TO SLEEP AS WELL TOO I'M EXCITEDDD
Omg I'm going to have to buy so many specific token cards to keep track of which type they all are
just make dry erase tokens by laminating paper and cutting it to card sizes.
a good idea is to run jace, cunning castaway. his ultimate u can make tokens that are copies of him that arent legendary, then make all ur tokens a copy of him at combat and -2 with all of them, creating a shit ton of 2/2 illusions
Yay! I love Brudiclad.
Me too!
1 creature that i recommend and is also budget. It's hellrider its 2rr devil with an effect hellrider deals 1 damage to an opponent for each creature attacking. I had moments i had 10 hellriders and attacked with only 4 creatures and deal 40 damage on the attack step
Hellrider should be in the deck already - see Tactic #8
If you have it, 100% add wurmcoil engine, those tokens are nutts in multiples
Haha indeed!
got recommended this right after extra turns ep 3.
Nice!
@@TheCommandersQuarters Love your content Mitch
@@trentjordan5984 thank you!
Hey Mitch, have thought about doing like EDH podcast for budget players...I think that would awesome!! 😁
Good considerations!
A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Every deck you made I want to assemble!!! hahahahaha
Prayers answered!
Nice haha
Mana Echos and Spawning Pit are really good includes :)
Indeed!
I'd love to see a budget Zurgo Helmshasher deck! Big fan of Brodiclud
Maybe in the future!
Creatures like heldaken humiliator to make your opponents creatures become 1/1's with no powers if you control 3 or more artifacts, padeem to give all your artifacts hexproof and for card draw, myr battlesphere allowing you to maximise the damage with statue of the god pharoh for those tapped out myr's, etherium sculptor, jhoira's familiar, and other similar creatures/artifacts that reduce costs, echo storm to make a copy of any artifact and copying the spell for each time you've cast your commander, doublecasr to double any other instants/sorceries you have, isochron sceptor/dramatic reversal to make infinite Mana, and ofc you would NEED soul foundry, prototype portal, and mimic vat to maximise your token making potential, along side artifacts like mirror works, unwinding clock, and if you can afford or make proxies fir them, mycosynth lattice, nevriyall's disk, and darksteel forge
Also.cards like saheelis artisty to allow you to pull it all out since you can tap any artifact for 1 colorless
I've won with just 20 thopters In play but you can obviously make Tons more, just cavalclade of calamity ALONE can one shot someone in edh
I'd add a desolation twin, 10 generic cmc for a 10/10 that makes a 10/10 token. Come combat, turn all tokens into that and swing. If it doesn't kill your opponent it'll at least hurt.
A good card! Just wish it had trample!
Kurkesh onakke ancient would be a good card for this deck because you'll be able to copy a number of the token generation creatures making more tokens
A little bit on the pricier side, but one could also run cards like Kiki-Jiki or Splinter Twin
Definitely!
YYYEEESSSSS! You... Just... I love you. Thank you.
Haha thanks!
Not sure if you still do Break the Bank episodes, but I’d like to see one of this!
When i saw the ability of the commander, I instantly thought of Desolation Twin, imagine a bunch of 10/10 tokens on the field
Nice deck, great job! :)
Thanks!
Do a break the bank on this one please lol I need to up my decks effectiveness xD
two cool upgrades to consider : aetherflux reservoir and sentinel tower. make a token of one of them, and then you can turn your army of weenies into an army of deathstars.
also, are there any plans for a deck with two of the original partner commanders?
