I love this. I am from NYC. My dad painted a picture of Zermatt with the Matterhorn and it hung in the living room. It captured me. I asked my dad to take me. He said if I earned the airfare he would take me. I worked at a hamburger place in 1969 when I was 15. We went the following year. I climbed all the way from Zermatt to the Hornlihut and back in one day from about 8am to 8Pm. The hike remains the most difficult hike I ever did. I still remember so many details of that day. The trip began wanderlust in me. I moved to Vietnam in 1995 where I remain. The tallest mountain in Vietnam is only a little higher than the Hornlihut. Now I am 70 years old. Still enjoy traveling and hiking!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful story! It must have been such a memorable moment to finally see the Matterhorn. Climbing from Zermatt all the way up to the Hörnli Hut and back in one day is truly impressive-what a long day! Now you’re living in Vietnam and having such an amazing adventure in your life. P.S. I was born and raised in Japan and moved to the U.S. in 1999.
The trail wasn’t too difficult. It was well maintained with ropes and stairs, though some sections were exposed to heights. The view from the hut and beyond was absolutely incredible! Thank you for watching 💖
Thank you! The scenery and landscape are very special, and that is the closest to Matterhorn I could have gotten as none climber. Someday, I'd like to be back there and see sunrise.
I think it took me about 2-3 hours. Of course, I stopped many times to film this 😉 This trail involves a steady ascent with impressive view. Have a good trip!
Hi Sunny, we just returned from Zermatt and we did several hikes you have done but your videos are wider and better than ours. Can you share what you shot your hornlihutte hike video with? We only shoot video for us and family but we would like to get wider shots like you did.
Awww you are just there in Zermatt! I'm sure you had a wonderful time! I miss the Matterhorn. The Hornlihutte video was filmed with Sony a7c, iphone 13 pro, and GoPro combination. Wide shots were probably shot with iphone. Thank you for watching! I'll be back in Zermatt in January to capture the Matterhorn in the snow.

Very good filming and the description of your feelings is sincere with no UA-cam drama - Thank you
Thank you! This 10 days hike was so epic!
You touched the Matterhorn wall! So exciting! おめでとうございます🎉
Yes! It was close up and personal moment with Matterhorn.
Beautiful. I don't think I'd be able for the blue section mentally.

Incredibly beautiful mountain, atmosphere and shots are so enchanting here. Fantastic work.🔥🔥
Matterhorn and surrounding peaks are stunning, I had never tired of looking at them. Thank you!
こんにちは😊
これいいですね!
ヘルンリ小屋とマッターホルン思い出すよ🏔☘️
こんにちは、あそこまで登ったからこそわかる感動ですね!
