Don’t listen to the negative few, play what’s in front of you and try and immerse yourself into your character and their journey……try not to get into the mindset of rushing anything, you don’t need stacks of cash or gold, it will come with time, but most of all enjoy every second of what you do…..have fun pilgrims
Absolutely 💯 ... I usually walk around St. Denis and then a stroll out through Lagras... nice path to grab collectibles and maybe a panther along the way
Just started the other day lvl 17 now. Gonna share a story: So I was in Sant Denis as a new player just riding the horse and I notice someone in a bar. I walk in looking for trouble and saw the man drinking menacingly. I got into his face took a swig of moonshine from the bag and pressed F expecting a brawl. I snapped his neck. I started panicking and and I ran away. I noticed a blue spot following my movements in the city realizing it's the player I killed. I ran with my horse into the aligator swamps and he followed. While looking back I smacked into a tree. Decided to fight there. He came we fought and I somehow killed him. Then I got back to my horse and started running. He kept following. As I was running I came upon a bridge with a roof. Crossed it and waited for him to catch up. Headshoted him off the horse. He continued following me initiating something called a feud? It teleported us in a small 1v1 and we ended the match with 5:5. Looking nice so far. Can't wait to get 15 gold.
Add me: Grimsbanefalcon Need new posse members, you sound like a riot 🎉 I’m lvl 40, we do a lot of bounty hunting together and trade runs, if you want gold 👌🏻
i use the slow and steady ability card for legendary animal hunting it has a hidden bonus that means your horse will not buck you off as long as you're in deadeye
My advice is enjoy the game slowly. It’s rich and vibrant. It’s exciting and fun, but there’s only so much content so have fun and go at your own pace. What’s the rush?
If you wanna play free aim showdowns/featured series, I recommend buying a Litchfield repeater and upgrading it with a scope. The gun is quite bad, but the scope will make the gun a lot more useful. Evans and Lancaster are better for autoaim gameplay, buying a scope on those will not help for featured series. This is the only situation in the game where a Llitchfield repeater gains a little advantage over the other repeaters. Also get familiar with where weapons like Carcano or Rolling Block are located. It will improve your score for sure.
Well, the ability cards I use focus fire, gunslinger choice, sharpshooter. And then winning streak. The weapons are carcano, pump action shotgun, and two semi auto. The best advice is take it slow learn the controls.
As a new player you cant get the best saddle until lvl 35 and best stirrups till about rank 60, so just get a cheap saddle and upgrade your stirrups as you rank up. Also make sure you work on your horse bonding to get the horse to level 4 this will allow you to press down on LS about every 30 seconds for a significant stamina boost. If you skip the intro you can still get a free horse and saddle, just go into the stable and use a coupon to claim a free horse in the Riding class, the best of the three options is the Tennessee Walker. The free saddle that you can claim is the Lumley Ranch cutter saddle. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a poor noob riding around on the scrawny nag not realizing they can claim a free horse and saddle!
Tip for new players: Work the looking posts for veterans that offer to help new players AND keep an eye out for people looking to run Large Trader Wagons, you will earn $312 for riding along for 10-12 mins.
Hope you’re enjoying it! So much fun, have tried a bunch of the weapon and gear customization yet. So cool to just make different loadouts and outfits and clear outposts
its not dead my cousin, my wife, and I have all started fresh accounts i had mine but stopped playing after trader and naturalist so i had been out of touch but everytime i play i just think of the wasted potential
Bounty hunter payout is ridiculously low unless it's the legendary. $20-40 using food, tonics and ammo .. well, I've never understood why this is a good role for a beginner with no $.
You shouldn’t be using nearly that amount of money consumables. I agree that those are definitely expenses to running those missions but that’s still a lot. If you have the right ability cards upgraded, are hitting your shots and not failing to repeat the mission over and over it shouldn’t be that costly. Tonics at $4.50 a pop per potent health cure are a lot but 1000 rounds of express repeater ammo is like $16. Perhaps there’s some other area you’re struggling with that maybe I can give some advice on? The math doesn’t add up at all tbh. So if you’re open to some feedback I’d love to give some to help you for the future.
@HazardousHDTV was just thinking that collector role gives more payout and doing daily challenges will give u gold to buy another role. It's just my opinion that the regular bounties give very low payout considering what u use and what amount of time u use as well versus running a moonshine for example. Thanks for the feedback and wanting to help me, but I'm lvl 929, and I made Cripps happy after the last collector month, when we finally became millionaires like he said we would 😆😆
If you have no roles or have maxed out all the roles and want to explore the content, for new players it's like a free bounty hunter role minus the role progression as it pays rdo$ and gold, and better pay out then stranger missions.
They are fun indeed, some better than others. I recommend having Railroad Contract part 3 avaliable, because it is easy 3 capitale every time (when you loot the main guy). Collecting 3 capitale can be a daily challenge, and that mission can save you a lot of valuable time. Great way to be in solo lobbies also, if you don't wanna be around other players.
The only ones that are dominating are the hackers. The PC game with the most hackers, I have a 50% chance of an seeing one when I login. Worst anti cheat and report system (navigate for a minute and hold enter to report bs). You can dominate Private lobbies against NPc’s that’s for sure.
Grind Etta Doyle for easy gold. Take her outside the police station, go have lunch, do your laundry, whatever. Come back every 10-12 minutes and move your character a few steps. If you have other useful things you can do in the meantime, go for the full max 30 minutes.
Yk wat I like to do is I have a bounty wagon so I put here in there a few feet away from the police station I stand on top of the wagon and pull out my catalog so i won’t get kicked after 13 minutes
dont waste your time unless you are in a solo lobby....the modders/hackers ruined this online version...you cant even play without constantly being bothered by their hacks and crap.
What tips do you have for success in Red Dead Online?
Thank you for your mention of GunRush BattleRoyal PVP in your video. There is an active GunRush community on Sony that plays daily.

Uninstall after playing for a few minutes realizing rockstar doesn’t care about the game or playerbase
getting the online achievments and then quitting it cuz rockstar doesnt care abt this game u bot
I would suggest not rushing. You go from nothing, to having everything and nothing left to get in a very short time online
If your a new player and want level bonding with your horse I would suggest leading it around the map fest way to get to level 4 bonding

Good tip!
i found that if you ride at a quick walk you can spam the pat button just like arthur in story mode
if you go too fast it won't work though
I usually lead my ol' mustang in tall trees and on the mountains.
or spam pat and feed since food is literally free right now.

Quick question but why is it always the low levels that attack/kill other players for no reason? Genuinely just curious…
Always learning something new, even though I am no longer a newb. Thanks for your continued RDO support. Love the game, love your videos.
Glad this was helpful, I hope you enjoy the game for years to come. Thanks for supporting what I do :)

Slippery Bastard is my favorite Dead Eye Card, playing since 5 years now and right played, this card is insane powerful
Level 25 now. Keeps getting better.
So glad to hear you’re loving the game. There’s infinite fun to be had. Enjoy the process leveling up and acquiring everything as you go along :)
I haven’t played RDO in a couple years on my ps account (lvl 260) but I recently started a new character on pc and I’m having a blast.

Rank 130 here, ive never bought a repeater nor drank a single tonic 😅
Rolling block rifle + cold blooded make the game super easy
RB RIFLE > CARCANO ❤
That’s pretty impressive actually! Nice one brotha 🔥

i start red olline 2 month ago.now am in level 94 with 64 gold bar and 5000 dolar money
2 step still works, however I didn't get the gold in 2 days, was about 6bweeks so caught me off guard when I got it.
I just started playing today. Is your beginner video from 5 months ago still a good point of reference?
The game has not changed in any meaningful way since the blood money update in 2021, so you should be solid with anything after that.
Welcome to the game pilgrim
@Hazard thank for the video 💯
How the grind going?
How your weekend?
Thanks for watching. Just got back last night, probably gonna run a stream later. How’s your grind going?

Nice idea
Good reminder.
Glad this helped! Appreciate you watching king
Ima new player on pc just reached 20 but damn two separate trader drop off missions, hackers teleport me

Any idea on what or when the December update is
Some are saying naturalist but it could be wrong

I have the file from Nexus mods to create a solo lobby, but the problem is you're 100% solo.
