  • Recorded 8/2/2024 at 7:17 pm. I came down here to Carlisle to catch a CSX C904, which I finally did! After catching that one, I went up to the W-Line to wait for 296 because I knew they were on their way. I didn't have to wait long at all, as I heard them call the signal at the W107 only 10 minutes after I set up. Still wish they'd come by here at 45 mph regularly, but unfortunately it seems like that's only possible with non-C6M leaders! This trip optimizer is so darn buggy on the C6Ms. It's always with these locomotives that trains move slower on the W-Line. I'd much rather have GEVOS or EMDs now honestly. I'll just have to be more selective with my catches now. Anyways, hope you all enjoy the video! Shoutout to the engineer for the horn salute.

Nice catch! I really wish there were more of those units you listed in the roster. I've never been happier to catch 18D like today! With the current C6Ms, and the soon to be converted Dash 9s and acquired units, that'll be about 1,250 C6Ms total in the roster. (That is if NS doesn't acquire more GEs to use as cores for more rebuilds in the future).

Thanks for watching, Josh. I’ll truly loathe the times when we’ll probably have nothing but C6Ms on the Greer rotation…
