6:56 they have one in Olathe, Kansas too! I used to go EVERY year! It was extra credit for Japanese classes but it was a small one day cultural festival that also had a lot of otaku stuff and people from japan selling their work or used books. It was always so fun.
im watching this many years later, but it still moves me and makes me so happy. as someone who has been into alternative japanese kawaii culture for many years, its always so nice to see people from the community getting together under this one shared interest and feeling. its so comforting and brings me hope, i aspire to be able to interact with or even create a bigger kawaii community in my area or wherever i end up in the future. thank you for sharing
