it's actually super validating to know you don't remember all the print names lmao, i never could remember them and gothic styles tend to be simpler. i also love watching wardrobe updates even if there isn't commentary. it's super relaxing & inspiring to see other people's stuff
I like wardrobe videos as a newbie lolita, especially plus sized lolita wardrobes because it gives me ideas on basic pieces and such that may or may not be still available. That's how I found Sakurada Fawn's blouses and I LOVE them, they fit so crazy well. I don't see it as bragging, I think it's neat and gives a cool look into all the works of art that were or still are available in this fashion.
I've got a lot of Innocent World circa 2010-2012 when a good portion of their prints were named after a random woman's name or "[WORD] Rose", so I definitely mix up the names.
I had trouble with remembering the names of my pieces... so I ended up making a spreadsheet in Google complete with pictures, year acquired and Lolibrary listing. It takes a lot of time to put together, but it's so worth it to keep organized. I was inspired by Kimbuucha 💛
I just recently named all my handmade dresses thinking I was going to finally do a wardrobe post this year but I didn't.😅 I did, however, discover the names of all my taobao pieces and I organized coord pics by main pieces into separate files. I find it really comes in handy for planning new coords. Also a lot of bodyline pieces have been given names on lacemarket which is really neat.
I fecking love the little "WOH 😮" whenever you would open your eyes and recognise the dress (edit because one of the emojis I tried to use didnt translate correctly, so I just removed it)
I collect lingerie (not at all like lolita) also called AP for Agent Provocateur and I know all my sets names, plus other significant sets. They are all named after women. Lolita has names more like scenes or like a painting.
@@puccarts Aside from Agent Provocateur which I find on the resale sites. I would say Buttress and Snatch, Lethe Intimates, Posie, Fleur Du Mal and Angela Friedman
I'm glad you got around to making this wardrobe tour for this year. It's nice to see what you still have, what you've gotten rid of and hearing the stories
happy early birthday! lol i'll hold off on trying a challenge like this till i have more than 4 main pieces, but i had a fun time watching this video! also i freakin love seeing wardrobe tours!
Ok but my Boyfriend bought me roses from rose forever. And they are re so pretty and smell so lovely and nice! They literally looks so good and last so long!
One of the things I do with my wardrobe is put tags on the hangers of my dresses stating the print name, brand, year I got them, and year they were released!! It is a really easy and efficient way to help me remember
This is such a fun idea for a wardrobe video! I do like seeing people's collections but it can get pretty repetitive, so this is an interesting way to mix it up. Remembering the names of every single piece you own is a challenge when your wardrobe is so big so you're completely valid, but I will admit it makes for an entertaining vid. My wardrobe is all non-printed pieces, some of which have abstract names unrelated to the designs (like Fairy Tale JSK, which features no fairytale related motifs whatsoever) and others are more self explanatory so they're easier to remember. I don't think I remember every single one of them off the top of my head, but I try my best to memorize their names when I add them to my wardrobe. Many of my pieces are quite old too so keeping track of their names and years of release feels like I manage an archive (in a good way)
I love Teddy Unbirthday. It's my favorite print. I feel I know Print names from 2010-2014 really well but after that I stopped paying attention to sweet lolita as much and classical lolita and ouji names are usually old European names.
Lor I would love to see you do coord builds inspired by characters. Probably out of things you don't own just because you'd get limited really quickly. But like a freddy kruger/ IT inspired coord, a princess peach or bowser inspired. IDK i would love to see your creative take on some of these. Oh and Happy birthday!!!!!
I really enjoy your videos even though I’m not Lolita…way too old, close to 60 years old. But if I were younger I would totally start dressing this way. 😊
This is me, but with my blouses (specifically, taobao blouses... I don't remember the names of most of the taobao brands that I bought blouses from...I really need to figure that out/make a list!) Honestly, watching wardrobe videos is a lot of fun to me. It helps me learn about new prints, and appreciate dresses I may not have appreciated before (And if there is a story behind the dress, it's interesting to listen to those too!)
i dunno why but this video made me smile from start to finish! and it reminded me of when i wore that krad lanrete jellyfish OP for years and mistakenly told people it was a completely different brand and print and only got corrected years after. Devastating.
i KNOW i dont remember many of my piece names, there's a few that I just have in my wardrobe website as like "mystery taobao" because i got them secondhand with NO info other than like, waist measurement, it's such a fun challenge tho!
Names are so hard to remember! I'm the same with vocabulary: I can't tell you what it's called, but I can tell you what it looks like/how it works~ (Not ideal for a biologist)
Very fun video :)! Something ive been wondering about lolita fashion though, is how do you keep it clean if wearing it casually/daily? Do y'all never accidently drop food one yourself at a tea party? I'd like to get into lolita fashion someday, but i worry id be to messy for it XD
As an extremely messy person, I know your worry! I would suggest straying away from light colors or just being very diligent about tucking in a napkin at your neckline when you eat or otherwise handle liquids that might not wash out. I will say though, aside from sweat or ink stains ingrained in older pieces that can't be laundered at home, I haven't encountered any food stain that I can't clean out yet!
I spill a lot, honestly, use pre -spot on spills and it should come right out. Eventually washing your dresses becomes second nature and it won't be such a big worry if you spill. If you are still worried, perhaps look into dresses that could go well with aprons, then you're more likely to spill on your apron than dress!
Wondering if labelling the hangers with the names of the dresses would help? You'd see the name every time you looked at the dress and it can help reenforce it in your brain.
Oh god I'm going to do this too. I have anxiety about being asked what my main piece is called or what brand it's from, so I normally look it up before a meet and try to memorize it right before I go out ;w;
Im not sure where to ask but im getting into lolita recently and some models have these really pretty umbrellas or parasols and im not sure whats the best place to get one of my own. I ordered one of alliexpress that looks nice but if anyone knows other places i could get more accesories from id love to hear it. Might want a white one next or maybe just one is enough... (Im into the gothic or punk lolita)
I'm really curious what people define as being a large lolita wardrobe? A small one? An average one? Is there a particular number of dresses that is the threshold or is it dependent on some other factor?
Personally for me under 5 dresses is small, 5-10 is average, and 10+ is large while 20+ is huge. This is just my personal opinion on judging wardrobe size, though.
I can’t even remember the name of the dress I just bought to start making actually good coords I definitely can’t remember the name of my two other pieces
There’s a difference between just showing something you’ve spent a lot of time collecting over the years and “flexing” though I’ll admit Covid kinda changed people limits on that though since so many people flexing during Covid was just insulting and angering. It’s pretty clear though your not nor have you ever tried to flex lol
Nevermind I actually found it by photo searching for it with the Taobao app lol! It's 月下曲 by 两只田园猫lolita原创设计 I know this is 8 months later but I hope this helps if you were still looking for it ^_^
I hate to be the one to say this, (especially when you edited it to correct yourself), but it’s not Teddy Pâtisserie, it’s Teddy Pâtissier 👨🍳 the difference between the names is that one (pâtisserie) is the shop the pastries are sold in and one (pâtissier) is the person who runs the shop and makes the pastries. Teddy is the one who is making pastries; Teddy is a pâtissier. It’s pronounced pah-tiss-ee-air. You say Pâtissière I say Pâtissier We say Pâtisserie.. let’s call the whole thing off! 😆
it's actually super validating to know you don't remember all the print names lmao, i never could remember them and gothic styles tend to be simpler. i also love watching wardrobe updates even if there isn't commentary. it's super relaxing & inspiring to see other people's stuff
Yeah, I never remember the names of dresses, even ones on my wish list hjfksks
I like wardrobe videos as a newbie lolita, especially plus sized lolita wardrobes because it gives me ideas on basic pieces and such that may or may not be still available. That's how I found Sakurada Fawn's blouses and I LOVE them, they fit so crazy well. I don't see it as bragging, I think it's neat and gives a cool look into all the works of art that were or still are available in this fashion.
Don’t be too scared about wearing honey cake! I’ve machine washed my cotton one with no problems, you just gotta use a color catchers
I've got a lot of Innocent World circa 2010-2012 when a good portion of their prints were named after a random woman's name or "[WORD] Rose", so I definitely mix up the names.
Lor being jumpscared by each print was my favorite part of this video

It's okay Lor I'm actually really glad you can't remember the names of dresses either and it use to make me feel like a bad lolita 🤣
matched my dress to a rose forever box before, it was magical! also, happy early birthday
This video is so wholesome and lovely. Just what we need in these trying times. (P.s I know I would also be terrible at this haha)
I collect lingerie (not at all like lolita) also called AP for Agent Provocateur and I know all my sets names, plus other significant sets. They are all named after women. Lolita has names more like scenes or like a painting.
Have any good brand recommendations? I only have VS, Peach John, and Triumph

@@lpspinkfoxes Thanks :) Appreciated!!
As a baby Lolita, I can remember the name of my 3 dresses and one skirt. I aspire to one day be able not remember the names of my dresses.
I'd probably just call that Halloween print "fruity bears and dark despair" and just keep giggling the rest of the episode. XD
I'm glad you got around to making this wardrobe tour for this year. It's nice to see what you still have, what you've gotten rid of and hearing the stories
I've made most of my wardrobe, so I have very few named pieces to remember. But this kinda makes me jealous, maybe I should name my own dresses?
Oh that sounds like such fun! I love naming things
Perfume wonderland is probably the biggest flex dress i'm legit jealous over 😭 love this video !
Wardrobe tours and talking about what pieces people have is literally my favorite kind of videos! Thank you lor!!
Hope to get into the fashion next year in college and your whole wardrobe is such a big inspiration to me :))
Also I love your cord in this video!!!
The sad music with the voice over got me 😂
happy early birthday! lol i'll hold off on trying a challenge like this till i have more than 4 main pieces, but i had a fun time watching this video! also i freakin love seeing wardrobe tours!
This video is so cute :'3 love the camera angles and format hahaha
Have you ever done a makeup video? I would love to see the process and how you match your makeup to your dresses and cords. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎊
your wardrobe is so pretty!!
Happy birthday Lor! I'm so excited we share a bday month
Ok but my Boyfriend bought me roses from rose forever. And they are re so pretty and smell so lovely and nice! They literally looks so good and last so long!

When you pulled out the red dress to compare it to the dark pink 💀💀💀
Whah!! Happy early birthday fellow Pisces!! Mines on the 13th! 😄 keep shining, beautiful!!

gosh fluffy unicorn looks so good on you!! I was gonna get it but college comes first before frills ;v;
I love fuwaya lolita! I actually bought a dress from the owner on lace market and they’re really nice :)
I have been enjoying lolita wardrobe tour videos recently so there's that.
OK I DID IT I ADDED HONEY CAKE TO MY DREAM DRESSES!! hopefully one day ill be able to get it!!

i am red colorblind but even i can tell there is a difference between dark pink and red. both look pink to me but i see a slight difference.

I nickname my BTSSB and AatP dresses
Teddy Patisserie and Teddy Chocolatier, oh yeah, how could anyone possibly get those mixed up.
I’m good at remembering the names of all my main pieces but that’s because I only have 11 total main pieces so it’s a lot fewer to remember.
I have only 10 dresses and I don't even remember all ofthe names :D
