NO NEED TO WORRY or FEEL UNEASY! I'm 49 and got into rock/metal when I was 8 (thanks to a band called KISS!), and, TO THIS (VERY) DAY, I'm, STILL, listening to it!
There is no better duo then Glenn Tipton and kk downing not only do they play fucking amazing look at their stage moves outfits ect it's all perfect looking
It's great that Judas Priest is still going strong. I'm 62 now, but was 20 when I first saw them in concert, opening for none other than REO Speedwagon. That was in 1977 and was Judas Priest's first American tour. We had heard of them, but really weren't that familiar with their music. All I can say is that I bet REO Speedwagon was more cautious about who they toured with after that. Judas Priest was touring on the 'Sad Wings of Destiny' album and they were nuclear. They blew us all away and REO should have just gone home. After that set, we were just looking at each other, exhausted, going, " Shit! That was damn awesome!" I caught Judas Priest two more times before 1980, and between Black Sabbath and Priest, was a witness to the birth of METAL
I saw JP 5-6x in the early 80’s to early 92..What amazed me is the preciseness ,precision and professionalism of a JP show..They didn’t fuck around-show started at 8 exactly and you could set your watch to their playlist..They were always good or better than seeing them the last time....The quintessential metal band of the 1980’s…
I am 56 years old and ive enjoyed these guys since their beginning. their cords aren't complicated really , they just really lay it down heavy on those 16 marshal amps.
That would be Dave Holland Himself on drums!!! Ahhhh, the good-old days, Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden, the three best bands any metalhead would want playing on their car deck with the amp cranked up all the way to 11!!! 10 ain't loud enough for US!!! I will be 52 years old this coming May 19th, I LIVED for this generation of music, grew up listening to it in high school, as I attended the notorious Erik And Joan Erikson Center from Rocktober 1982-June 1984 (and with the one and only Cindy Margolis as one of my classmates at that!!!), graduated from there and pissing off more than a few people in the process!!! Fuck fake auto-tuned music, especially that homogenized over-hyped girly-pop shit they play/cram down our throats on 102.7 KIIS-FM (in Los Angeles I hated/still hate that station as they would NEVER play metal even if it did become a hit, in which most metal songs did back then!!!) and other stations like it!!! #BoycottFakeMusic #FuckKIISFM #FuckKISSFM #Metal #RealMusic #FuckJustinBieber #FuckOneDirection #FuckKellyClarkson #FuckiHeartRadio Judas Priest/Motley Crue/Iron Maiden > Justin Bieber/One Direction/Kelly Clarkson...... @@larsulrich7569 Yea Simon Phillips was great but he was only a session musician for the album, but if he ended up also as live drummer that would have been amazing to watch and hear. of course TOTO was where he was at, so wasnt a chance he would do heavy metal.
BMF, 61 years old. Don't have a cell phone stuck in my face. Watch the sunrise and set. Hope some of the youth can c through the darkness. Wish all the best 👍. JP. . Kicked ass every time I saw them. Hope to see them again .
When heavy metal ruled the world..I'd give up ALL my material possessions to go back to the "REAL" metal years! I even miss the hair metal..DOESN'T MATTER ,IT WAS THE 80'S!
I, TOO, "kept a watchful eye" on the '80s rock/metal scene! Whether it was Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Stryper (remember them?), or Slayer or Obituary, I "ATE IT ALL UP!" In fact, I'm 49 got into rock/metal when I was 8 (thanks to a band called KISS!), and, TO THIS VERY DAY, I'm, STILL, listening to it!
I have this on VHS somewhere, recorded right off MTV one Saturday night. Its only recently I've read & seen pictures that the Marshall stacks are props.
this song was queued up for when I left the driveway of my x woman's home in buffalo heading to Florida. quit my dead end job, dead end woman, dead end everything. I took a chance before I fell, nothing to lose. I made it happen, the stress was immense, but I made it happen.
I used to hate this song when I had this on DVD, and then one day the riff came to my mind and I was not able to forget it, I had this tune as my ringtone for a couple years xp
When I hear the term 'Classic Priest', it can mean a few periods, but THIS is the #1 Classic Priest era - 'Screaming for Vengeance', at least in the US. And, Ripper Owens does a superb version also.
One of the greatest heavy metal bands all time. I love the bluesy edge in Glen Tipton's playing. I think real live albums should be raw and not polished in post-production. Call me mad but I prefer muddy sound the sterile sound they're making today.
I played Bass , and was a Fan of Judas Priest for some years . I think Dave Holland on Drum's Kicked tail . not over flashy but talented and solid for the band .
The chorus riff is so heavy, it pierces any financial prick, any economy, any bullshit here and there. Put your double roller skates, 80's are back! And it's good.
Props to Ian Hill aka The Pendulum (my nickname for him). Not only does he swing back and forth, but he locks in the rhythm as well as the tonic for the guys to riff over.
His abilities are way beyond what he does for Priest but thats the sign of a great musician he knows exactly what he needs to do in their music and he does it perfectly
the previous illegal uploads didn't compensate for the low mike on Halford when he sings the first chorus. this legal one does, but at a hyper level so that we get every sound at the expense of the backup singers. But if I had heard this one first from the start I am sure we would love it. Rob is that good.
This song made me a life-long Judas Priest fanatic. The instant that I saw the video on MTV way back in 1981, I knew that this band was my favorite!
MTV gave me regular access to The Priest and Maiden.., all the way out in Honolulu! Early to mid 80’s, best!
Yeah yeah!!!!!! They played it on CHRISTMAS RIGHT???
Dude!! Hell yaaa
В этом году я родился. Жаль что мне никто не одел наушники))))))

One of the greatest driving songs ever. This is the Priest that I always remember -- and I saw them on this tour.

@@michaelangelucci384 in their proper place....at the feet of JP
The entire Point of Entry album sounds twice as good in the car, not sure why
The original PRIEST. This guitar duo cannot be beat. I saw them for the 1st time on this tour. AMAZING!!!
Simple, catchy and classic! One of my Priest' favorite songs.
I am going to show my age here. I was at that show in Memphis.
you were lucky to see that. you're more metal than any of us. that was true.
I saw them in Greenville, SC. This was their best show of the 4 times I saw them.
It must have been like watching a goddamn atomic bomb simply epic

Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are only duo that come close to Glen and KK
This song needs to be played more live
The cackling he does as he improvises with "I got the rage," is so dope.

As cool as it looks, 16 Marshalls are not on, few even have speakers in them.
Yep and though the "chords" in this song aren't complicated, one's in others are quite difficult
chris whitehead It’s the solos and dual leads that can get quite challenging, their riffs were never too complex but they always kicked ass!
The chords may not be complex, but K.K and Glen as soloists are shredders extraordinaire. What a duo!
Judas Priest Rocked The Mid South Coliseum that night like Never Before!!!!

Dave holland did 8 years in prison for raping a 17 boy he was teaching drums to. Only tail he got near.
