I hear and talk to a lot of operators using these on SSB Very stable , clean and impressive sounding radios . My Quad-6 is the same . Anytone has stepped up their game on SSB radios .
i have this + mod and it is my go to .. love it.. my Cbr2000 and G959b are allfun to use.. but i enjoy the anytone .. i think we should always have an old trusted along with one of these new ones..
Does this allow just 11 meters or does it open up the whole thing to 10-11-12 meter band? Also what would happen if you were to wire a switch to those pins and another switch to those 3 wholes on the circuit board has anyone tried that I wonder what it would do or how it would affect the radio
This mod opens the radio for general coverage for 10/11. I would NOT mess with the 3 holes your describing. Follow the video and you'll see you don't need to take the covers off of the radio.
This mod will allow the radio to operate on 10/11/12 meters. I would not recommend adding any switches or try to do any other mod. The mod is to ONLY open full TX coverage, adding switches to those solder pads will only cause damage to the radio. "DON'T DO IT, LEAVE WELL ENOGH ALONE TO AVOID DAMAGING YOUR RADIO" Just modify it for full TX coverage & enjoy the radio as it was designed to work.
Is this the new version or old version be specific on the version I have the 5555n and that's not the 11 meter mod I did for it,I did hear you say 5555n, so is it possible 2 ways to do that mod??all I did was OP1 and bridged it to make a connection
Yes, that is true, you could just cut the wire but now it is in there as such which is not professional. Removing the wire would be the more appropriate way to do so it looks clean inside as well. Anyone can do it the way they want but when it comes to quality and professionalism then taking the extra step means everything to the customer.

They are a stable radio and not bad for what it is as a 10 meter radio.
Perfect sized video, thanks Stu.
You're welcome my friend.
Thanks!

Right on!
Just wondering if these 2 steps are for 2 functions? 1. opens up the bands and the second increases the power? Mine is still in the post.
This is just for the 11 meter mod
Stu, you the man!
Thank you sir

Thanks for asking this important question, and thanks to dxradioshop for the answer!

They must make the frame of the radio smaller now as i just got mine and the gap between the board and the front is no where as big as that on mine
They change them all the time with new versions etc.

Huge amount of real estate space left open, for what I wonder. They could of used a smaller case.
I was just thinking that...
Perhaps I could install an internal battery in that empty space
Now that was be a great idea, use the free space for something other than open space lol.
@@waylonk2453 or a mini antenna tuner
U dont actually have to remove that white wire u can just cut it in half instead of removing it

Nice to know…
Thank you so much 👍👍
Most welcome 😊
Can you buy a replacement on off switch for these ?
You should be able to get one I would imagine. I'd have to look around for you as I don't have any here.
That would be good thankyou again
You're welcome!
