As an owner of 3 Wilson’s, my next 4 purchases will not be $4,000 guns anymore! Springfield is crushing it!!!! Springfield is delivering new, updated and enhanced 1911’s at unbelievable prices while other companies are just scraping by. The customs have repriced all of their guns to start above $4,000 - I own 3 and that is not a sustainable strategy. Springfield has injected excitement into the 1911 market and I really appreciate that. I have already begun to do my part to support a company that pays so much attention to 1911’s and I just bought the 5” 9mm. Soon, I will have all 4!!!! Way to go Springfield!
My thoughts exactly! I don’t own anything that pricey lol but with what Springfield is pushing out, it makes it nonsensical to go any other way.
@@PrepMonkey as an owner of what’s considered a level above, I can honestly say that no one should feel they are missing out if they own these Springfield’s, they are that good! The Wilson certainly has some differences that one would expect with a hand made gun but it’s not 4 times better - I really enjoy my Wilson’s but I feel a little bit smarter when I am at he range with my Springfield’s, great quality and great value and I appreciate Springfield taking us 1911 fans so seriously!

Then and only then, will you have affectively scratched that itch that we are all experiencing.

Ambidextrous safety and 10mm is a must. Wouldn't hurt to have night sights on it as well.

It needs to have an ambidextrous safety!!! Not left handed shooter friendly at all !!! Sad.. very sad!!!
WC makes an ambi safety that your local gunsmith can fit properly and install.

That's no problem. When u ready for upgrades send it back to SA for megwell and ambidextrous safety and you will keep your LIFE TIME WARRANTY
Honestly Wilson Combat makes better 1911 parts only parts internally I would keep Springfield is the trigger and sear. And mainspring (housing as well)
