Thank God we have Teeth and Dentures and implants struggles for life. People who have natural teeth, please take care of them. I find Dentists the worst animals as they want suck insurance companies for unnecessary treatment to fatten their pockets. They are sweet talkers but run a big scam like insurance auto body shops.
MOIN KAMAL that’s soooooooo True! Just had my lowers removed and went through hell at affordable denture dump. Still can’t eat anything kind of meat. Been 2 months. I’m over it at this point and decided I’ll eat without my lowers in period! I no this is bad but it’s have to have my meat.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. At 2 months you really should be able to eat almost properly. It does take time, but 2 months seems like a bit longer than it should take. I know how frustrating it can be. I had to cut my meat very small at first, and concentrate hard at chewing. It wasn’t easy babe. Never give up though! You CAN do this.
Yah.... you wouldn't believe my story today. Went to my 12th Dentist to get an adscessed tooth removed. I am sooo sick from pain and stomach problems from several rounds of antibiotics/pain meds. He gave me a price 5-days ago for the extraction... I went to have it done today after crying all week and he adds something else that could happen along with another $1500 dollars which I don't have. I walked out and now I dont know what to do. 😢 That's why I'm watching dental videos but these are not bringing me much hope. I'm 62 and worried about facial sagging with dentures. Can't afford the implants. 😢
You’re not alone. I went to many dentists, and got no where. I’ve had my dentures for 2 years, and let me advise. Sinking face isn’t a big deal. I don’t think my face has even changed THAT much! It’s definitely changed, but not ridiculous, saggy, or crazy. I’ve lost 290 lbs in my life, so my skin is already saggy, but dentures didn’t change that much. Keep the hope alive love, do as much internet searching as possible love! Keep faith.
Kayla MyReason2Smile I finally received a new set of full lower dentures after having to raise hell for 2 months about first set never fitting at all! They kept trying to fix the temp lowers they gave me same day I had my lower teeth extracted and let me tell you these temps I paid $400 cash for looked like they belonged in someone else’s mouth! It has been ridiculously insane what AD has it me through. Like I said though I do have new lower temps now that actually somewhat fit after the did impressions finally, but I’m still unable to eat anything that requires chewing like meat. Steaks,, well forget about that! My steak days are over with looks like. Hamburger maybe but I have to brake it up into tiny pieces.. drives me nuts! Celery or any other kind of vegetable to forget it I can’t do it unless boiled and they turned to mush. At this point I’ve pretty much given up and just take them out and try chewing with my bottom gums which is extremely painful and I almost choked to death again yesterday just trying to eat an egg roll!
I have same problem cause I got dentures almost a month ago. Those scared of the process! 8 months ago, had last upper 8 then removed! Scary process but have the attitude from 3 others who said: THey are not chopping your neck off and 3 weeks after dentures you will still be alive! Advice I am giving!
That is good advice! This will not kill us! We are strong people who have already been through hell and back. Surely we can overcome a little more pain lol.
I’m getting ready to have mine done 6/20/30 and I’m sooooo scared 😟 but this video helping me deal. I’m so sad that I’m losing all my upper teeth and some lower. But I’ll survive. THANK YOU!!!
OMG you are too cute!! Soo funny and so real! I'm having my extractions done this Thursday and I am terrified!! I've had bad teeth my entire life, and at 51, I have finally found the bravery to go do it. One concern is the oral surgeon who my dentist sent me to, has no bedside manner and seemed totally rude, this makes me even more afraid. I have New York State Medicaid, so I'm not even sure if I have many alternatives. Your video is fun, funny, interesting and intelligent (yes intelligent) but most of all, inspiring! Thank you, I'm going to watch the rest of your video's, and will more than likely email you. Thank you so much sweetie!!
I didn’t know NY covered them. That’s amazing. You do have choices love. It’s your body, and your mouth. He can recommend someone, but if you’re not comfy with this person, it’s hard. My dentist was very cut and dry at first..... but I made him laugh, and it was on from there. You can do this, and please do email me. I’ll give you my number and you can text if you have any questions.
Thank you for this video, I just am entering the "cant eat or chew" stage of dentures and I really appreciate your candor and tips for learning all the stuff that i have to learn,
Fractured bone in gums caused by a seizure, and lost a couple of front teeth. The top front had to be pulled back into place. Very painful. Eventually had to have all removed because of bone loss, nerve damage. Glad to have dentures knowing I'm not alone in the struggle. Thank you!
You’re definitely not alone love! There are thousands of people going through this process daily. Im sorry things happened that way, but definitely glad you’re able to overcome it!
i love your determination. i had 29+ teeth pulled three days ago and omg omg the struggle is so real. i didn't get my meds filled until after the pulling. big mistake. big big mistake. i screamed oh did I scream bloody murder. I'm still really sore with stitches but your videos are my hope. soup is getting old fast. thanks for the hope. your great.
There’s so much you can do, just think outside the box. Think of foods you don’t really chew anyway lol spaghetti, potatoes, soft means and cheese like deli. I was so bad I sucked on an Oreo lol
@@MyReason2smile I slept with both out now I can not make myself put them back it with the soreness im just wearing my covid mask under my nose covering the hamburger looking gums I'm even more ashamed of then the 29 broken chipped teeth I had which is sad and omg these teeth are so large does all women feel that way when they get them or did someone confuse me with a horse
Yay thank you! Ooo have fun on your cruise, I've been on a couple carnival ones and loved them. Hubby is obsessed with cruising and hoping to go again soon :) another question, so you find yourself enjoying food more now? Like I haven't had my E Day yet, saving money. But my teeth are so bad it hurts to eat, and I eat on one side, tiny bites and never bite into stuff. Eating isn't even enjoyable. So I'm curious if you find yourself enjoying foods more now? :) also when you go cruising please show us what you pack to bring and denture supplies too, and things maybe after you wish you would have brought ! Xoxo
Pammy Soong oh love!!! That's so smart! I didn't think of that. I always go on carnival, this will be 6 I believe! Yes. I find food way better now. I didn't have back teeth before, so eat long and really chewing food was an issue for sure! I feel like I used to when I ate. Normal, but special lol. I can rip into food which I also couldn't do. I would cut everything up, and chew on one side just as you. It gets soooo much better, I promise!
Thank you so much for this , I'm waiting for my full dentures , I have partials now . The healing feels like forever , can't wait for this to be over :(
I like you so very much and consider you to be a friend (who I would welcome to stay with me in the UK if ever you and your lovely son come for a break). When eating, I have always cut everything (sandwiches, burgers, slices of cake even) into quarters. Don't know why, but it's normal for me to do so and I guess it will now come in handy. I loved this video. Please make more.... you have such style and sense of humour. God knows, we are all needing that. Much love Kayla. Xo
Anna P. Oh beautiful!!!!! Thank you so much for being a friend to me! I'm so blessed to call you a friend. Things like that prepare us. I like cutting food up small because of the gastric bypass, it's easier.... I just want to show everyone it's possible! I've had to cut my burger into tiny pieces as well. It was painful to bite down in the beginning. Too much pressure. I adore you, and would absolutely love to come visit. One of my closest friends lives in the U.K, and I've promised him for years I will come visit. I can't wait to see your beautiful face as well!!!!
MyReason 2Smile I feel as though I've known you for a long time Kayla. Quite strange. My invitation is a genuine one... Just wait until I have my new gashes though, haha.. Lots of hugs and kisses.
OMG! OMG! OMG! I just found this video. A month in, and I've come to the same realizations as you. My prosthodontist told me I'd have to relearn how to eat, and he wasn't kidding. I have to take "miniature" bites compared to how I did before. I have to bite straight down and I have to be aware of how I bite; no more eating on automatic pilot. It seems that dentures don't have anywhere near the cutting ability of real teeth. And I get a feeling like food is sticking and accumulating on the surface of the molars, but it isn't. So I have to develop a new set of sensory cues when eating. But I'm making slow progress.
Your dentist is right! We starting all over again. It will get better though. Eventually you’ll be normal when eating. You won’t think about it, it won’t haunt you, you won’t be nervous. You’ll just do it, and you’ll do great! Real teeth have crazy bite power. Bones are super strong. Now we’re using our gums to really work through it all. It gets better and easier as time go by.
Can i tell you something? you are so real.Shit going on 2 weeks and i just want to eat a burger lol stop making me hungry! you are my reason to :) thank you
Awe! That is adorably sweet! Thank you. 2 weeks is just where the fun starts. Like a newborn giraffe. You learn how to really walk! You’ve got this! How are you feeling?
@@MyReason2smile you Bettcha i lost ten lbs and just wanta chow on my 2 favos Pizza and fish, your post are so real!!! keep up the great work! and give all of us a reason to smile and flipping eat!! hehe
@@MyReason2smile its all astate of mind, i made this desion and i will get acclimated to my plastic teeth nevermind the spuling my keyboard is old school just like my salf:)
@@mattieice2988 I am valid proof you will be able to eat. 2020 has not been kind to my chunky butt. Pizza is tricky, and fish is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Learn how to use your tongue right. It will be your best ally. Promise
I learned how to use my jaw, cheek, and tongue to keep them in place. There were times I would use my tongue to hold the denture in place and chew very slowly. Depending on what you eat it’s difficult.
Im wear partials on my top I'm missing my three front teeth and I would love a juicy fat steak which I can't I got to take them out to eat a steak bite anything I got to sneak them out and then eat the meat but you are so motivational and I enjoy your videos so far thank you for the Boost of confidence
had mine friday struggling to eat big time im like a baby i never wore them at all saturday totally forgot about them as ive got used to eating with just my gums now ive got dentures im suffering big time all over again, all i want to do is eat like a pig and i dont know why im letting it stress me out so much, how long did it take for you to eat like that? as 4 days (taking out saturday) ive had them and i feel like i cant cope watching this video actually helps, i dont know how you do it wished i could eat like you.
Lol! So many mistakes have been made in my life!!! Those burgers are amazing though. I’ve pretty much mastered the bite situation though. So yay for that.
@@MyReason2smile I went back the allotted 5 times for adjustments. Then he said I have a funky jaw. So they sit in the container because they don't fit and they hurt. I try wearing them when I leave the house. But if I eat anything, they come out first. Even coffee and water.
Dang. I’m sorry love. I feel like something still seems odd about that. Lots of people have “funky” stuff, and they are okay. No matter what the jaw looks like, you still should have them work for you. It doesn’t make sense to me.
I'm so happy to have found your channel, I'm beginning my D day journey. Your videos have eased some of my fears, Did you ever bite your tongue or the insides of your cheeks?
That’s so sweet! Thank you. The first week or 2, I literally bit my tongue and cheeks constantly. I even remember thinking when you bite it the first time, that it’s like it attracts more bites. My mouth was so angry with me. So yes, be super careful when you get new dentures, each and every time.
I'm two weeks in with my top needs maybe a few more adjusts as it hurts when I put any bitting pressure and seems hard to even swallow with the pallet of denture feeling in the way I hope I can get past it
Viktoria Csapo hey love! Thank you. I believe this particular color was a brilliant red from sally beauty. I don’t use the box stuff from super stores. Sally is my go to. It was like a silver box in the color brilliant line. I can’t remember the exact name! I’m sorry :(
I know its been years since you made this video but I just wanted to say it has given me so much hope. I just had all my teeth pulled yesterday and got dentures. I've not ate in two days and was searching for a video that would tell me to hang in there because it gets better and this one did it. thank you so much.
So helpfu girll, I'm getting my uppers soon, about to starve here waiting for my gums to heal.. I can't wait to eat burgers again😉😉 Thanks for the info.
I have been looking for a video like this for a long time and I finally found You!! Thank you for being so "down to earth" and keeping it real. Subbed!
Susanne Chicken mom awe!!! Thank you so so so much!!! That's the whole reason I took the chance on it. I searched far and wide for months to find a video of what people looked like eating with Dentures. I wanted to fill a gap! Thank you for subscribing!!! I really do hope you enjoy the videos! I have an odd sense of humor, and speak my mind! Glad to have you as part of the family!
The struggle is so real!!! I just got my upper teeth pulled and an immediate denture yesterday. It takes me forever to eat yogurt!! It's a whole other world! You give me hope. Thanks for sharing.
+Jennifer Langley It’s understandable to take time at first. My brother got his temps yesterday, and was struggling as well. Remember to be as patient as possible with yourself! Like any prosthetic, it’s going to take time to learn to heal, and work with it. You will overcome it though babe!!!!!
Girl I'm going in 2wks, and I'm still living on Mash potatoes and pudding. Had my tops reminded last week, and my bottoms removed 3days ago. I tried to eat a fry from Chick-fil-A couldn't do it
I work at Chick Fil a. It’s hard to eat those sometimes with experience. You will get there. It’s only hard at the beginning. Eventually, it’s just life and you don’t really think about it too much. Promise, you’ll get there!
hi. i went without teeth for a year. took a year to heal and just got my dentures. and can't eat. ur an isnpiration. i am having such a hard time . and it hurt. . ty for the video
gingasnapz my mom had mouth surgery to remove a malignant tumor in her upper palate. They had to pretty much scoop everything. She looked like a hallowed out pumpkin. She had no teeth for a year, maybe a little longer. Then she got a prosthetic top denture. It was about two inches high to fill up that big space the doctors had to removed. She was one tough cookie, I will tell you. She never could eat any meat that was tough. She lived on a lot of yogurts, but the only time we even thought about her having that thing in her mouth was on the rare occasion she swallowed wrong and a piece of food got stuck up in the prosthetics. Cancer was cured and that is all my stepfather cared about. She lived for 30 years like that. My mom was tough but this problem was tough too. She lived 40 more years and enjoyed so much with my Pop at her side. If she can do that, we can learn to live with dentures.
You will be able to eat real good in the end and if you can not then something is WRONG. If you are still having trouble go back to your dentist and get him to have a look. Most people here are living and eating with dentures ok.
So I got my dentures March 18th and they finally have fixed them so that they don't hurt and I finally got to eat with them in. I was so proud of myself I just kept smiling and saying I'm finally eating! Lol thank you for helping me not give up this video has been the best way to keep me motivated
Im so proud of you! i cant wait till i can eat without them hurting but it is what it is and theeses are my teeth! although not the teeth that God game me but thankfull keep up the Awesome posts and nerming the misspull my keyboard is old ;) love and a smile
lori watkins That's exactly what I did!!! I spent like 1.5 years watching every video possible. I searched out a video like this because I wanted to see what it looked like to eat with them. Thank you so much for the amazing compliment!!!! You're so so so sweet.
@@MyReason2smile ok the dentest told me that they can do the permanent dentures same day as extractions n they will have to reline till they fit. N they told me they r the same as permanent.
My exact reaction as well. Its powerful as hell. Still havnt had the confidence to even attempt putting mine in yet. Couldnt stop my eyes from sweating especially after her handsome little son did his little cameo
You have to learn how to eat again and you can not do that until your mouth finishes healing. Unfortunately we all have 2 lumps of plastic where our teeth were and this takes some time to make them eat sort of like our old teeth did. It is the same as putting square wheels on your car. They still go around but it is not as good as your old round wheels were.
Holygirlg yes love!!! It's really real! I don't pretend it's all good and perfect! It can be super hard, messy, and wild! Thank you so much for the sweet comment beautiful!!!!
Pammy Soong well since you're a female... I'll say no. Now if a dude asked me that I would probably block them 😂 I've gotten some strange messages! I was thinking of doing another one for my 2 month mark. How I've progressed and gained the ability to try various foods. I'm going to eat steak this month for sure! Also since I'm going on a cruise, I'll be able to film like 1000 different food types. So for you yes love! I'll make another video.
I was going to ask the same question, but got my answer from your reply to Pammy lol. I'm 3 weeks out and every time I try eating they get loose and food gets under them smh
I had a bottom partial for 2 years and had to take it out every time I ate. I couldn't chew and food got under it all the time. Now, on January 2, 2019, I'll be having full top and bottom extractions and immediate dentures. I can't eat for beans now. No chewing surface. No biting surface, so the foods you had difficulty with are me WITH TEETH on a good day. It can only get better.
Thanks for sharing your videos, you're adorable for taking time to share all of these great tips, you make me feel much better with my upper denture.... Smiles to you beautiful lady. :)
Thank you so much, just turned 40, and I have only 4 teeth left to get out, I had watched your video to get confidence to get this far but wearing mask have made me procrastinate, but I am watching again to go this last step. I'm tired of be depressed and low self esteem over it. So thank you for helping me do what Nike says. Just Do it.
That idea of getting dentures pains me so much, drug's and sugar ruined my teeth and self confidence. I hope I can enjoy myself with dentures, if I go down that avenue, also hope I can still enjoy some of my favorite foods lol, Thank you for this video, it means A whole lot. ✌️😁
Hey kayla! 2 months and I ate my first burger with lays chips...no adhesives and very little problems! My gums were a little sore the rest of the day but OH MAN! To actually eat a burger again! Thanks for keeping me focused on getting to the next milestone!
+gfreely Yay!! That first burger is like heaven on earth lol!!! I’m glad you ate it. Sometimes in life we just have to push through, and get to the other side! It’s not always comfortable, and easy. It can be downright hard!!!!! If you did that, you’ll have no issues moving to the victory! I’m so proud of you!!!! Keep pushing little by little, day by day! You got this!
Aw gee sus, so take them out and eat when your gums have healed well, clean the gunk off rinse your mouth out and carry on with life, nobody will remember any of us and our dopey dentures in another 50 years.
To anyone getting ready to sign off on teeth...make sure darn sure you have the finished product and test it in your mouth before you sign those teeth away. Peace to all and good luck.
Sandy Farris yes!!!!! That is absolutely true! Don't let anyone pressure you. Your money, your mouth, your decision!!!! My dentist has a 30 days money back guarantee. All dentist should let you decide a decent period of time.
@@pcxdrone Because they can take the mold with your original teeth in. Of course the teeth will come out but if the teeth come back and they dont fit then dont buy send them back to the lab to be redone. Dont just buy the teeth that comes back if they aren't done well. Of course the teeth comes out champ. Why else would a person get dentures? To put on original teeth? Lol
This video has given me some hope. I just got my dentures no word of a lie at 1:30 pm today and it's nearly 5pm and the way I feel right now is that it's going to be impossible to eat with these things in my mouth they had a lot of trouble making my dentures because of my mouth size the overbite I had and the denturist said that my bottoms will never sit without adhesive it's going to be a learning curve thats for sure.
+KoolBreeze420 learning curves are ok! I had the same though. The first meal I ate was a mess. I thought omg, I'll never eat again like this. Then I glued them in and it wasn't a problem! After you get a soft reline, it really helps the whole situation. It gets better! Promise 😍
I just got my top denture almost 2 wks and still have my bottom teeth. My issue is I have an underbite and it's not lining up to the top denture. I'm scared to eat cause I don't want to choke. Do you have any suggestions?
I think you are such a blessing to give us all hope. Thank you so much for sharing this with me and everyone else. You are silly and funny. And your son is such a handsome little Man. God Bless You Dear One.
Don’t apologize for speaking with full mouth. This is for research :) Crazy to see you chewing French fries cause once I broke a back molar biting into a fry!! And once I had a tooth crumble biting into a sandwich!! Lol
Girl you look good & thanks for the vids. I finally found a dental care place that’ll do all my extractions & Dentures for people Disabled & on Low Income. My 1st appointment is 3 days away!! I’m ready! I’m 47 & haven’t been able to bite anything in over 17yrs. I always cut my food into little pieces
I appreciate your honesty about the process. I am shortly going to have removal and dentures so I really appreciate the experiences of those who have gone before.
I love this video and can relate totally. In three weeks my new dentures will arrive and I am grateful I have an idea of what challenges are ahead, small bites for sure. Thank you for being totally REAL and covering this subject matter. It is beneficial.
I’m in the Uk, watching some of the folk on here like you I think you have better teeth than us. I paid to have my teeth made private here it cost me £1000 that’s about $1230 I’ve had my teeth now about three years, I can’t wear them without covering them in glue, the bottom ones kill me, if I try to eat with them, I can’t bite anything, if I chew one side the other lifts up, chew the other and they come out. I don’t go out to eat anymore, I won’t eat in front of anyone, I can’t wear the bottom ones now they are so painful, so now I will only get in the car drive to my sons, that’s it, I won’t go anywhere. I do t know what to do with these bloody things!! I can’t afford to get another set maid!
I agree. I'm in the UK also and my NHS dentures are a disgrace. I also know people who have gone private and they have no more luck, or better service. I think the problem is with our technicians. It doesn't matter if you pay or not, it's still the same people making the teeth, and they seem to be hopeless. Also a decent impression is paramount for a good fit. That is down to the dentist and I haven't found a good one yet. My latest dentures ( I've had 3 sets because they kept snapping), look they've used somebody else's impressions. It's a joke. My mum had her dentures made over 40 years ago and she's still wearing the same set. They're superb quality and still fit like a glove. She thought it was time for new ones about 3 years ago, so she had some made. Guess what? Paper thin and they fall out. I don't know what's happened, but we surely can't make dentures anymore. I wish you luck. Try some NHS ones, you never know, you might strike lucky. Thay can't all be shit, surely to God.
I'm sorry - I had to quit watching about half way through and fast-forward the rest of the way through...I hope it doesn't screw anything up for you (UA-cam wise) but I am 9 days out and that burger looked AMAZING!! I am burger envious right now...and fries...I MISS FRENCH FRIES SO MUCH!! They are my favorite food and I love Culver's fries! Hopefully in a few more weeks!!
Thank you for your video. You are wonderful for bringing this video to so many. I've searched a few. I have a partial top one and just eating small amounts and I can see through you that it gets better 🤗
You sweetie are precious. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Your down to earth honesty is so helpful to erase the stigma associated with dentures. Love you AND your little boy is gorgeous, like his mama.
I have just started the same journey you are on! I just had all my teeth pulled 3 days ago. They told me it would be around 2 months to heal completely! Good luck to you!!
I thank you wonderful people for these vids. im 49 and very close too full and im scared. I have infections in my teeth often and i'm tired of fighting it. infection is not good and i'm stubborn.
You're so brave. I no longer even eat with my family because I have to reglue my teeth multiple times during a meal. When they make me go out for dinner I always pick a corner booth away from other diners and cameras so nobody sees me bend down to reglue them under the table. 😔
Hi Kayla, awesome video. Im getting my teeth pulled and immediate dentures in 3 weeks. Its been quite the journey. Nervous? Very! But Im taking the time to learn what I can to make the transition as smooth as possible. I can see that your videos will be very helpful. I love your attitude. Very strong and positive. What I would like to know is why did you not use glue/fixodent? Thanks, Joe :)
Thank you for doing this video,I got my partial dentures(front) 2 days ago and went to McDonald's yesterday,I ordered the chicken strips, big mistake lol,I tried biting into them and it didn't work,I ended up with the coating falling off and the chicken hanging out of my mouth, gave my daughter and granddaughter a good laugh,so not all bad lol,not sure about the people opposite
It is so (insert the f word here) awesome for putting your self out like this most people wouldn't because they might feel weird I thank you very much I got my first impressions today this helps me plan thanks hon great job

Omg you made that look so easy!! Ok there’s hope for me in a few weeks🙏🙏 Also , and I’m not saying this in a weird creeper way!!! Just as a mom , you have the cutest chewing, reminded me of my youngest.
I'm struggling just trying to talk. I'm 4 days post extraction day. I have been to the dentist every day this week one was scheduled today was not. The reason for going in was the denture was gagging me talking. I have yet to try eating with it. I only have the top
Your videos are helping me so much I was told last week I was gonna have to have full uppers and partial lowers and cried forever and starting looking at videos urs Amanda's and one other person has helped me come to terms that it won't be that bad and I want want to had my smile anymore
My teeth are to the point that hamburger would not be possible. Made arrangements with oral surgeon and then all this pandemic stuff kicked in, I've lost about 30 pounds in three months so there is that heh... Protein shakes and beer are easy to chew. Thank you for the glimmer of hope!
I was told to take small bites and I bit my hamburger also lol, but couldn't cut threw the onion.. only been a week for me and I find it so hard. also, I can't eat unless I glue the bottoms, pops everytime.. thanks for video for us newbies
Thank you dear, I am from the Balkans, from the small country of Montenegro. Here, the price of implants for both jaws is 2,600 euros. It is not as expensive as in America, but life is not easy here either. mouth how to eat how to kiss then take it out and put it on. God help here the prosthesis is only 250 euros
Eat mash potato with bean soup or hamburger gravy poured over top. Pea soup and lentil dia soup with spinach cut up and added and potatoes. Smoothies with oats, spinach, yogurt, strawberries, banana, and you will not starve. All good for you. Apple sauce, cream corn over boiled buttered potatoes, tuna with mayo, pickle relish, cream tuna over over cooked noodle. Lots to eat ! Until your ready to chew. Black bean soup over rice.
Thank you for this video I will be having my teeth out because of this problem that I have looking at this video has encouraged me to go ahead with the process Thank you for sharing your story

This video is helping me so much. So do I have to only use my front teeth? Like don't try to use my side or back? What about popcorn or apple slices or like beef? Thank you.
Thanks, this was helpful. I'm three weeks out and haven't tried eating with them in. They rock too much. Soft reline isn't for a while yet. Trying tonight. I just starting using Sea Bond today. You look beautiful, great smile!
Good on you girl! God love you! I thoroughly learn't from that, i got my new dentures yesterday ( Australia) and lol i have not eaten yet with them); I'm scared.
Tessa Logan .....How has your first week gone? I’m now day 3. All I’ve eaten is scrambled eggs, cup noodles & last night Singapore noodle w/prawns (I sliced them thinly). I struggle with the thickness on my palate & gagging. From a fellow Aussie.

Surely we can overcome a little more pain lol.
omg, you are fantastic, I have been feeling so down about my dentures, you have made me feel so much better, thank you from the bottom of my ❤️
I’m so glad!!!! Don’t be sad, it gets better.
I’m getting ready to have mine done 6/20/30 and I’m sooooo scared 😟 but this video helping me deal. I’m so sad that I’m losing all my upper teeth and some lower. But I’ll survive. THANK YOU!!!
I got mine 6 days ago .. no pain still can’t really eat .
Katja from your post im thinking all oral surgeons are A holes!!!! Mine was so bad my husband contacted a competitor and we finished with them.
Thank you for this video, I just am entering the "cant eat or chew" stage of dentures and I really appreciate your candor and tips for learning all the stuff that i have to learn,
No problem! How are things going? I promise it gets better
Lol why did I cry when you took that first burger bite. Lol. Going in two days for my impression
You got it! The burger will be yours?
Thank you for posting this. My bf just got his tops done and this gives hope to eating normally soon!
It takes time, but eating normal is definitely in the future!
Anna P. You're so beautiful! We're kindred spirits maybe 😍 I know you're genuine! You're My angel.
By the way, your totally my new go to lady, as I need education on my new dentures!! Your freakin awesome!!!!
My chewing gum always gets stucked and I find it difficult chewing with my front teeth
OMG! OMG!
@@MyReason2smile I'm still not talking properly, though. I always sound like I'm doing a Sean Connery impersonation.
Needed to see this❤
MsBlackest1 I’m glad it was useful!
Thank you for sharing.

@@MyReason2smile its all astate of mind, i made this desion and i will get acclimated to my plastic teeth nevermind the spuling my keyboard is old school just like my salf:)
@@mattieice2988 I am valid proof you will be able to eat. 2020 has not been kind to my chunky butt. Pizza is tricky, and fish is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Learn how to use your tongue right. It will be your best ally. Promise
I have a question how can you eat without your dentures moving around? Since they are loose?
I learned how to use my jaw, cheek, and tongue to keep them in place. There were times I would use my tongue to hold the denture in place and chew very slowly. Depending on what you eat it’s difficult.
Im wear partials on my top I'm missing my three front teeth and I would love a juicy fat steak which I can't I got to take them out to eat a steak bite anything I got to sneak them out and then eat the meat but you are so motivational and I enjoy your videos so far thank you for the Boost of confidence
I’m so sorry you’re going through that. In time, it will get better. I’m so glad I’m able to help somehow love!
How are you keeping lower denture in while eating
right?!??
How to keep lower denture in without gluing
Why????
Mini dental implants
Ugh! I've had 22 extractions with immediate dentures 20 days and I can't take bites or chew much stuff still 😭 I'm so jealous 😂
I will happen! Everyone has different time frames. Allow yourself time, and keep practicing!
@@MyReason2smile thank you!
i loved your video! Thanks for sharing that.
You’re super welcome! I love your UA-cam name! Batman is my favorite!
had mine friday struggling to eat big time im like a baby i never wore them at all saturday totally forgot about them as ive got used to eating with just my gums now ive got dentures im suffering big time all over again, all i want to do is eat like a pig and i dont know why im letting it stress me out so much, how long did it take for you to eat like that? as 4 days (taking out saturday) ive had them and i feel like i cant cope watching this video actually helps, i dont know how you do it wished i could eat like you.
LMAO @ the moment with new teeth when you realize you took waaaaaay to big of a bite but it is soooooo good. I had the same problem
Lol! So many mistakes have been made in my life!!! Those burgers are amazing though. I’ve pretty much mastered the bite situation though. So yay for that.
MyReason 2Smile I had to comment, I found this out the hard way two weeks ago. I am re-learning everything all over
I've had my full set since 2015 and have never once been able to eat anything with them in. I have to take them out to eat. Even water gags me.
That’s absurd. Something is very wrong with that. You should be able to eat and drink with them in.
That hamburger sho' did look sloppy and good!
Daaaaamn! ' )
Where did you get that burger!
I'm two weeks in with my top needs maybe a few more adjusts as it hurts when I put any bitting pressure and seems hard to even swallow with the pallet of denture feeling in the way
I hope I can get past it
I can't eat without mine being glued in. My bottoms just pop right off. I've had my dentures 1 month.
Mine were like that, till I got a soft reline. Then everything was better. Have you had one?
@@MyReason2smile Yes. I'm having this issue with my soft liner in.
Dang. My technician went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.
Try 23 years ! Have always needed glue, and it just gets worse.
That’s not fun. I want implants so bad, to solve that issue.
I love your soft hair color on this video. Can u please tell me the name of your hair dye?
Viktoria Csapo hey love! Thank you. I believe this particular color was a brilliant red from sally beauty. I don’t use the box stuff from super stores. Sally is my go to. It was like a silver box in the color brilliant line. I can’t remember the exact name! I’m sorry :(

Innocent til proved guilty
Exactly! If it’s impossible to prove guilty, then people grasp at straws. Throwing their opinions around as fact. We live in an ignorant world.
A YEAR???????????
gingasnapz my mom had mouth surgery to remove a malignant tumor in her upper palate.
Gingasnapz why can't you eat?
You will be able to eat real good in the end and if you can not then something is WRONG. If you are still having trouble go back to your dentist and get him to have a look. Most people here are living and eating with dentures ok.
So I got my dentures March 18th and they finally have fixed them so that they don't hurt and I finally got to eat with them in. I was so proud of myself I just kept smiling and saying I'm finally eating! Lol thank you for helping me not give up this video has been the best way to keep me motivated

I'm getting emediate dentures.. so r they ur permanent dentures? Not the temporary ones?
Immediate dentures are the same as temporary, yes. Permanent dentures take a couple months to get after healing.
@@MyReason2smile ok the dentest told me that they can do the permanent dentures same day as extractions n they will have to reline till they fit. N they told me they r the same as permanent.

I'm one week out and OMG i miss food!! I was actually able to eat a BBQ sandwich and fries from Cookout today! I really miss burgers and tacos!

Promise 😍

Thank you so much! I’m glad I can help!
I think you are absolutely adorable.
Awe! Seriously, thank you!
Thank-you ever so much for this video. I really appreciate it a lot. Now, here's to putting my top dentures in tomorrow!
How did it go? I’ve heard people say to put the Denture in the freezer then put them in. Helps with swelling.

I've searched a few. I have a partial top one and just eating small amounts and I can see through you that it gets better 🤗
I just want to say that the struggle is real. I’ve had mine for about 16 months and they won’t stay in for nothing and hurt when I eat
That's so sad 😢
I'm getting dentures next month...watching ur videos have made me feel better. Thank you. Hope u are doing well. Hi from Minnesota!
You are very pretty and encouraging!
You sweetie are precious. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Your down to earth honesty is so helpful to erase the stigma associated with dentures. Love you AND your little boy is gorgeous, like his mama.
Valerie Mercer wow, you're so so so incredibly sweeeeeet! Thank you. This is the most incredible group on people! I'm lucky!!! Thank you love ❤️
I had my teeth pulled out 2 months ago going to get my teeth tommorrow
That my friend.. was a BOSS decision... Seriously, you did well.
You are awesome to watch! And funny.. Great info, thx for sharing this ❤❤❤
I'm at 3 weeks and tried chewing today. I couldn't tell if the food was chewed and I swear I've forgotten how to chew. This is going to be fun.
It’s definitely fun. Like a new born baby giraffe, you’re learning all over. It’s wobbly and messy at first, but you’ll be graceful eventually.
Squeeze the end of the burger bun down before you bite into it. The bread being thinner really helps .
I love your videos this is something I haven't seen before your making me comfortable with my decision.
You are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for sharing your journey, its been SO HELPFUL and inspiring. Hopefully soon I can have a beautiful smile like yours and not be ashamed to smile. God bless and thanks again for all the videos😁💗🙏
Omg you made that look so easy!! Ok there’s hope for me in a few weeks🙏🙏
Also , and I’m not saying this in a weird creeper way!!!
Absolutely beautiful lady.... ...love your confidence. Getting mine soon. Can't wait! Thanks for the video!
Ouch that looks painful with burger. I will get my full dentures for top.
Thank you for this video I will be having my teeth out because of this problem that I have looking at this video has encouraged me to go ahead with the process Thank you for sharing your story
You’ve got this! With a positive outlook, determination, and strength of God, you’ll handle it well! I believe in you!
Kayla MyReason2Smile Amen I just got all my teeth pulled yesterday but I didn’t get immediate dentures I wanted to wait until my gums heals up but I don’t know how long maybe 6 weeks I’m not sure yet
This video is helping me so much. So do I have to only use my front teeth? Like don't try to use my side or back? What about popcorn or apple slices or like beef? Thank you.
You are cute and sweet. All the best☺
Thanks, this was helpful. I'm three weeks out and haven't tried eating with them in. They rock too much. Soft reline isn't for a while yet. Trying tonight. I just starting using Sea Bond today. You look beautiful, great smile!
Thank you sweetheart! Take your time, it’s a learning curve situation. I didn’t just start eating the first day. It took time to get chubby lol!!!
