Nigel, get all the ex-Braille members together and see if any are interested in reviving Braille without Aaron. Either buy the company from Aaron or rebrand with a new name. I’ll agree with that. I’m 38yrs old, my body just isn’t able to handle anything other than longboarding yet alone starting from square one. For me it was a way to experience hanging out with friends again and feel that vibe.

Agreed, for the past few years I would only watch the video if Aaron wasn't in it. He was ok back in the Lance days but eventually became unwatchable. The rest of the crew should start a new company and make the name something about being able to see, maybe Vision? Oh wait, that's already taken
Gabe pretty much ran Braille towards the end anyways. So if they could all get together again, film some stuff, and have Gabe take care of the managerial side of things (be the lead)....I know it would be like them picking up where they left off and it would be successful for them. That being said, i'm sure they are all at a point in their life where the idea of having their own successful channels with some guest appearances of the crew probably seems more appealing considering the way Braille ended. Time will tell though. All I know is that these dudes have good heads on their shoulders, have plenty of experience, and can make whatever they choose to do work out....Whether it be rolling solo or getting back together as a group.

Really just seemed like a wording issue met with already elevated emotions, if you're already disguntled you want someone to be extra precise especially about a particular situation you had no involvement in that you feel was handled poorly, Aaron made the connection with Rob through Nigel (Which seems like why he brought his name up) and reached out to see if he wanted anything from the trash before it was hauled away and the miniramp was probably already disassembled in the trash and Rob just took the skatelite and left the frame.

You more than anyone else on the Braille team were INSTRUMENTAL in trying to bridge the gap between Skateboarding and Rollerblading Culture, and that meant the WORLD to me. Every time you strapped boots on you took it seriously. I appreciate that on a profound level. So from me, a ROLLERBLADER, THANK YOU.
Same here. As someone who rollerbladed from 2004ish to 2016ish it was really nice to see him take it seriously and try and bridge the gap. It's what got me following braille. I always respected skateboarding as i live in a small town so we all got along

You and Fetty were beyond my favorite people and personalities that came out of Braille. I had mostly grew out of Braille multiple years ago when I first started seeing things go down hill and of course the stuff that happened with Fetty. Glad you're still around Nigel. I didn't learn about the more recent stuff until well recently. I never got to get into skateboarding due to my skateboard being stolen when I was younger so watching skateboarding with Braille was amazing.

I am just a dude that found the braille videos like 8-9 years ago and have been watching on and off since, but have plans to learn to at least push around when I am more healthy(working on it). If anything, all this has demonstrated that a lot of yall are on the up and up, which I was honestly worried about... cause of you know. (I've done this for every guest or guy at the park that's joined Braille). Your humor, your camaraderie with Gab and your giggling willingness to try anything to entertain us was the highlights of Braille videos and kept us entertained. You are EXACTLY right, you are a Star of Braille and as the Star representing them they should've treated you and the rest of the team as such. I feel for ya dude, I got shit canned from Home Depot after 12 years because some new department head from another store with connections to corporate forced me to quit. Her boss was telling me to do one thing but she was telling me another. She got all mad, went around the Store Manager's back in complete disregard for chain of command and complained. 12 years! In a blink of an eye, gone. Anyway, you were the last Braille member video I was waiting for before I decided to unsubcribe from Braille. This REALLY sucks for me that you and the others are not there anymore because I've been watching since it was just Aaron and Lance. 10+ years just gone in an instant feels like HD all over again hearing how they fucked ya. Hopefully we will get to see little Braille alumni collaborations here and there across all your media platforms. For the Braille guys that choose to step out of the public eye, I respect that and wish you the best. We just had a Bones Brigade reunion a short while ago. In a few decades we might see a Braille reunion event.
I remember back in 2019, I was fully indulged with Braille and got back into skating again after so many years. I even had the app and had the privilege of meeting up with other skaters through the app. I used to work for *Grunt Style* at that time and even reached out because I was attempting to send a gift package (shirts, stickers, tumblers, hats, other goodies etc.) And was looking to get sizes for everyone. Fast forward to today, and its such a major bummer to see how this company has been managed. What was said in this video is absolutely 💯 percent true, and the team should have been valued and somewhat taken care of. Unfortunately, it looks like Braille has met its complete demise. I'm sorry Nigel that things didn't work out for the team, but I'm happy to know that the boys will always be the boys and do things to their best of abilities to stay true. Whole situation is crazy dude. Knew things were messed up, but I can't believe he was throwing away all the boards donated to Braille. Should have at least sent them out or handed them to fans or skaters at skate parks. Some of them aren't "safe" per se but should've at least let the guys know to come grab what they wanted to keep.
There are so many skate organizations and fanatics out there; I would have loved to see all the custom skateboards donated somewhere that the collection could have been preserved. Even if it wasn't available to the public. Though knowing skaters, if an individual skater got it, I'm sure they'd happily show it to anyone interested.
I helped build a indoor skatepark called renegade in Faribault, MN. It was a carpet warehouse and we spent days ripping out the carpet and scraping the glue off the floor. I spent like 4 years of my life working, skating, doing skate lessons and contests there. They went out of business and fortunately I got a few last sessions, but ngl it was depressing seeing it go. A few years later I moved near another indoor park and spent a few years there everyday and one day it randomly burned down. I got really depressed after that...long story short my life is doing alright today and still skating.
That’s how I felt after they tore down love park. I skated there almost every night and after that i was pretty depressed. The whole Philly skate scene was.
I’m not a hoarder. But when I tell you I would have taken everything I could get my hands on I wouldn’t even be lying. Breaks my heart to see my childhood gone just light that.

Braille and THPS 1+2 Remake (and Covid lockdown) got me to finally get a board together and try to learn to skate again. Need to get another one together with parts that actually fit comfortably together with each other, my build and personal style. I was only able to get lockdown leftover parts. Last time I did that was about when THPS 3 or 4 was out. I still haven't really been able to get the time on-board or out to any parks near to me to learn much more than how to push and not fall off when rolling around in a parking lot. But it is fun from time to time just just roll around and think.
I've never ridden a skateboard in my life. I just watched the videos to watch you guys hang out and try and do cool stuff. Was super bummed to see everything unfold. Feels unreal. Love you guys, hoping the best for you all.

Maybe 4 or 5 years ago I went on a SF skate trip and this particular day all my buddies worked or had school so I decided to venture into the city. I don’t exactly know where I was but I ran into Arron in dress shirt and slacks and at first I thought he was in the middle of filming a skit until he handed me a Scientology pamphlet. At the time I didn’t know what it was but since then I always had a feeling he would try to use braille as some type of fundraising campaign and proselytize people. Funny thing was he was trying to avoid me until I asked for his name and I ended up taking a photo with him 😂

The goals you have to spread skateboarding and teach as many people to skate as possible is a very noble goal and I've always loved it. Gabe pretty much ran Braille towards the end anyways. So if they could all get together again, film some stuff, and have Gabe take care of the managerial side of things (be the lead)....I know it would be like them picking up where they left off and it would be successful for them.
That being said, i'm sure they are all at a point in their life where the idea of having their own successful channels with some guest appearances of the crew probably seems more appealing considering the way Braille ended. Time will tell though. All I know is that these dudes have good heads on their shoulders, have plenty of experience, and can make whatever they choose to do work out....Whether it be rolling solo or getting back together as a group.

You and Fetty were beyond my favorite people and personalities that came out of Braille. I had mostly grew out of Braille multiple years ago when I first started seeing things go down hill and of course the stuff that happened with Fetty. Glad you're still around Nigel. I didn't learn about the more recent stuff until well recently. I never got to get into skateboarding due to my skateboard being stolen when I was younger so watching skateboarding with Braille was amazing.

after watching you and the guys for thousands and thousands of hours, it’s honestly hard not to be completely heartbroken watching this all fall down. it’s crazy how people i’ve never met could hold this much weight into my life. rip braille truly the end of an era. my childhood for sure. (and i really don’t have actual closure, i’d love to chat with you or someone to really get a better understanding of what you think went wrong)
I was sketched out as soon as I found out about Aaron's cult involvement years ago. It's very sad to see an awesome company & team fall apart because of it.
I always blame the cult and not its people. Most of them are possible victims. You don’t always know the full truth and how much they bring fear into their ways of controlling people. Nasty!

My exact first words I said when the title popped up was "Aaww dammit, Jones!". You are one of my favorite Braille guys, I could tell you were going to join that first video you were on. (I've done this for every guest or guy at the park that's joined Braille).
Your humor, your camaraderie with Gab and your giggling willingness to try anything to entertain us was the highlights of Braille videos and kept us entertained. You are EXACTLY right, you are a Star of Braille and as the Star representing them they should've treated you and the rest of the team as such. I feel for ya dude, I got shit canned from Home Depot after 12 years because some new department head from another store with connections to corporate forced me to quit. Her boss was telling me to do one thing but she was telling me another. She got all mad, went around the Store Manager's back in complete disregard for chain of command and complained. 12 years! In a blink of an eye, gone.
Anyway, you were the last Braille member video I was waiting for before I decided to unsubcribe from Braille. This REALLY sucks for me that you and the others are not there anymore because I've been watching since it was just Aaron and Lance. 10+ years just gone in an instant feels like HD all over again hearing how they fucked ya. We just had a Bones Brigade reunion a short while ago. In a few decades we might see a Braille reunion event.
I remember back in 2019, I was fully indulged with Braille and got back into skating again after so many years. I even had the app and had the privilege of meeting up with other skaters through the app. I used to work for *Grunt Style* at that time and even reached out because I was attempting to send a gift package (shirts, stickers, tumblers, hats, other goodies etc.) And was looking to get sizes for everyone. Fast forward to today, and its such a major bummer to see how this company has been managed. What was said in this video is absolutely 💯 percent true, and the team should have been valued and somewhat taken care of. Unfortunately, it looks like Braille has met its complete demise. I'm sorry Nigel that things didn't work out for the team, but I'm happy to know that the boys will always be the boys and do things to their best of abilities to stay true. Whole situation is crazy dude. Knew things were messed up, but I can't believe he was throwing away all the boards donated to Braille. Should have at least sent them out or handed them to fans or skaters at skate parks. Some of them aren't "safe" per se but should've at least let the guys know to come grab what they wanted to keep.

There are so many skate organizations and fanatics out there; I would have loved to see all the custom skateboards donated somewhere that the collection could have been preserved. Even if it wasn't available to the public. Though knowing skaters, if an individual skater got it, I'm sure they'd happily show it to anyone interested.
I helped build a indoor skatepark called renegade in Faribault, MN. It was a carpet warehouse and we spent days ripping out the carpet and scraping the glue off the floor. I spent like 4 years of my life working, skating, doing skate lessons and contests there. They went out of business and fortunately I got a few last sessions, but ngl it was depressing seeing it go. A few years later I moved near another indoor park and spent a few years there everyday and one day it randomly burned down. I got really depressed after that...long story short my life is doing alright today and still skating.
Skate Barn used to be the spot back where im from. Long gone.
That’s how I felt after they tore down love park. I skated there almost every night and after that i was pretty depressed. The whole Philly skate scene was.
actually sad to see the way it all went down but in the end all I can say is I appreciate people like you who were still good in braille 🙏
I’m not a hoarder. But when I tell you I would have taken everything I could get my hands on I wouldn’t even be lying. Breaks my heart to see my childhood gone just light that.

Braille and THPS 1+2 Remake (and Covid lockdown) got me to finally get a board together and try to learn to skate again. Need to get another one together with parts that actually fit comfortably together with each other, my build and personal style. I was only able to get lockdown leftover parts.
Last time I did that was about when THPS 3 or 4 was out.
I still haven't really been able to get the time on-board or out to any parks near to me to learn much more than how to push and not fall off when rolling around in a parking lot.
But it is fun from time to time just just roll around and think.
I've never ridden a skateboard in my life. I just watched the videos to watch you guys hang out and try and do cool stuff.

You were the only person who answeeed and though we didn’t skate I was very appreciative of your response and it got me hella hype at the time, continue to do your thing you’re a genuine guy and I know there’s a lot more for you in the future. Maybe 4 or 5 years ago I went on a SF skate trip and this particular day all my buddies worked or had school so I decided to venture into the city. I don’t exactly know where I was but I ran into Arron in dress shirt and slacks and at first I thought he was in the middle of filming a skit until he handed me a Scientology pamphlet. At the time I didn’t know what it was but since then I always had a feeling he would try to use braille as some type of fundraising campaign and proselytize people. Funny thing was he was trying to avoid me until I asked for his name and I ended up taking a photo with him 😂
watching this is just depressing, so many perfectly good things being tossed away and considered trash, over a decade of memories gone js like that. its sad seeing all of it go, especially under these circumstances. sorry you have to go thru all this brodie

The goals you have to spread skateboarding and teach as many people to skate as possible is a very noble goal and I've always loved it. Giving freedom, power and mobility to those who had no idea even what a skateboard likely was or was used for isn't something to shun and I'm sure many skaters found a lot to learn themselves!
