Aaron posted a video about what happened and how last minute it was. I don't know how many days they had, but they had to destroy it all or get consequences, while the negotiations didn't work out well for the rent.

To be fair, Braille is still really small. Aaron is really the only “people at the top”. I just think he’s lost sight of what made braille what it is/was in the golden days. I have no issue with them doing what they need to do letting go of the warehouse, it’s just how he has approached it that’s honestly a bit disheartening. I also do believe he kept at least some of the boards at his home if I’m not mistaken.

after seeing Aaron's video it sounded like he was trying to keep it going so he couldn't make an actual "last skate day" if he didnt know when that day/week/month would of been. Letters in the mail are legit and you dont have options after the paper is in your hand. We should be glad he at least acknowledge anything about it at all, now knowing how much goes on behind the scene.

Never thought that this would ever happen. But listen, the fact that you had one last sesh, on your own terms, by yourself...that was closure for all of us. My son and I watched Braille religiously, for atleast a couple years. He was getting into skating and Braille was one of the main things we'd be watching when we put on UA-cam. We watched the video Aaron posted last night, and I was a shocker. We hadn't watched Braille in awhile, but wasnt expecting this. It was sad seeing the Braille house getting demolished, but it wasnt till watching this video that I got a little tore up. Maybe its because my kiddo is at his aunts house and I alone lol, but definitely choked up a few times just watching Ricky riminess. Once it started hitting the rail...that got me bro...that got me.

Thank you for taking the time to make us this video. It's closure and clarity that we wouldn't have had without you. It's honestly heartbreaking to see all that history just treated like trash and as much as I hated seeing it, it confirms many of the things I had suspected and will allow me to not wonder how things ended up. It's just... so sad that there wasn't a reunion and last session, with mementos handed out to everyone or given to the community.

It's good that you got some of your own closure. I get the mixed feelings when you have put so many years of work into something that you loved and it ends abruptly 😢.
Now just imagine if this was actually your business and you had to make such a hard quick decision? It's a terrible feeling when the hard decision to protect what is your own business and dream directly impacts the employees that helped you along the way. I get it that communication might have smoothed things over , but sometimes it's difficult under situations that have a lot of emotions.
So many great memories were captured on video and this will be another one.

Hey rick. I watched braille all the way from the time I was in 6th grade thinking about getting into skating to
now being done with my freshman year of college and skating almost every day. I watched Braille grow and thrive. I am so sorry that Aaron did not inform you about the Braille House, but I am glad you got to go back one final time. I never got to skate the braillehouse but it is still very emotional for me to see my childhood memories all wiped out in a day. Just know that the skate community respects all that you have done for Braille, and that we support you no matter what you choose to do in the future. I would love to see the crew possibly form a new group where you guys post what YOU want when YOU want. I guarantee you that if you guys formed a new channel dedicated to just doing you guys, 95% of the brailleArmy would follow. Sad to see it end this way. Love you brother. Thank you for this video.

Aaron created a great stepping stone, but he really changed a lot as a person. After reading into all of this, it's a shame he didn't set his priorities straight towards his company and employees.

Damn seeing it from your perspective hit a lot different. Seeing the Braille pictures on that board (not sure what it's on exactly) that you pulled out from a pile of boards that just looked like rubble just felt... Honestly a bit wrong. I would think that gets saved and everyone would just look at it. I still remember a friend found a bunch of pictures of our group back in college. She just shared it with all of us and I didn't even know she had a few that she shared. Was such a good moment reflecting on old times. Felt like something like that when you pulled it out should had been that moment. Got me messaging that old group in the chat just now and one replied lol. Sucks you didn't know about this happening I enjoyed watching you and the others do amazing things on your boards. I'd pull up a Braille video or one of the other content creators up and just get the feeling of wanting to skate outside. Pushed myself yesterday after weeks of not doing it also for some reason having some fear about it and I was glad I did it. I think right now what you been doing on your own has been amazing finding streamers and helping them learn to skate. I think you got that down.. Collaboration. Good way to combine your viewers too. Thank you for the awesome moments so far I know you'll do way more in the future!

Wow. This video was so sad. I’m so sorry. Even though you are giggling through the walkthrough, I know it is unbelievably hard , and the giggle is just to mask the disbelief and heartbreak. I have been watching Braille for so long and this was not the way to go out. I am shocked
Man watching this when I was 17-19 I had just moved out I was scared and these videos were my home I was so deep into pills and alcohol and I never thought I’d be alive past 18 but here I am at 23 and seeing this it’s just hard I spent all day everyday for 2 yrs popping pills and watching the videos made here and skateboarding myself everyday with my friends that I was doing pills with havnt seen them since getting sober and staying away from all the bad influence I’m doing better now but it’s sad to remember all the memories these videos helped make me feel safe when I didn’t feel safe were I was living I always thought I would be robbed or killed
I feel like watching this is kinda like letting go of that time of my life I’ve come so far it’s insane how different life is now in my own apartment my grandmother helps pay for I’m disabled and can’t work but for 3 yrs now made UA-cam content Monday-Friday 9am and for the last year having this apartment has allowed me to cook my own food and eat properly and exercise on a daily basis and try and heal my messed up back I have scoliosis and Tourette’s syndrome and the ticking hurts my back and makes the scoliosis worse and I also have migraines that run in both sides of my family and I’ve had to deal with since I was in grade 1 Valentine’s Day I remember it like yesterday it was horrible and it’s been every couple weeks since
But again I’m exercising and getting better it might take time but I’m not giving up
Yes I smoke weed still and mix some tobacco it helps with my issues with no side effects unlike all the pills I’ve tried which lead to suicidal thoughts and then the dr threatens to lock me up and keep giving more pills until they stop the thoughts I’m not doing that I’m not a lab rat they tested pills on me since I was 8 I’m done let me just smoke the natural weed and be a bit extra hungry here and there I’m under weight and have always had issues with that and now with my own kitchen like I said cooking all my own food and exercise I’ve been able to put on a bit of muscle/size I’m super happy !!!

Been following braille since I got back into skating in 2020 (skated from 10-16 years old and I'm 28 now) bc I was obsessed with skate content. Never cared much for all the crazy videos but the sessions with the subtle lo-fi in the background and yall just getting hype and skating were top tier! Made me hit up the homies for a sesh every time. Gonna miss those the most but hopefully the crew can still put them together every now and again ! 🤞🏾

Braille was always fun to watch but not because of the brand or one particular person. We got to meet a whole gang of characters that became close with eachother. Sure there were ups and downs throughout Braille's history, people coming and going... it was to be expected.
I think you (if you wanted to) Ricky, are in a special moment in time where you could do something better than Braille and it sounds like you may have all the old Braille subscribers that could help make that happen! You are a lynch pin Ricky and you have an aura about you that draws people in. Start your own team and it may be hard, will have its ups and downs but I doubt you will regret it.

I could be wrong but my impression was that nobody knew Ricky was coming and Ricky had no idea if anybody would be there. Darek was 100% shocked to see Ricky.

No they knew it was comming it just ended up happing sooner than they thought Derek had been helping with the tar down That's why I don't understand why Nigel's so mad.He knew it was coming because he helped set up the ramps to have a place to go

Hey Ricky, thank you for doing your best to show what has been going on from your perspective and trying to give an honest assessment to it all on top with this send off to an era to a park that gave growth, encouragement, entertainment, and community to new and old skaters alike. This ending on a sour note is heart wrenching, but it does lead to more doors opening ❤
