Sorry to inform you but that IS NOT a FXWG. All FXWG's have the Wide Glide front end and a 21" front wheel. I own an early 84 with a shovel engine, 4 speed. First year was actually 79. It was Willie G's first model after reacquiring the company.

Never heard of changing parts? 1st year of the FXWG was 1980. Not 79. I know. I was there when this stuff sold new.. the entire fork on this machine has been changed. Along with the rear fender which is after market and many other changes.

Because the FXWG, stock, has a rake to the fork lower tree and a 4 inch longer front end than an FLH set of trees and forks

Not the right VIN for an FLH..Someone put FLH tins on an FXWG. VERY common 80s and 90s, no one wanted FX models

We are energy independent and export oil now. Also, under Biden, the only meaningful climate change legislation has been passed. Where's the Chopper Fork? Flame Gas Tank? Man, if they switched it Around; Don't stick with Wide Glide( FXWG); tell them they converted it to a road Glide, Electra Glide, or Whatever.
One has to go by what are the VIN abs motor numbers..stock it is not. To me, that should be obvious, like looking at a fat girl. You can't hide it.

Because, maybe the wrecked the fork? Because, they handle better with the shorter wheel base? Because that's what everyone did, they took FXs of any model and FLHd them because it was the popular look. All the above.
Of note. Only 1000 fireballs made each year 80 to 84. Only 300 a year 85 and 86. But those had gray blue flames..most FXWGs were not fireballs
