Granddad decided to hide his wild past, but could not give up on the steed. If only I could find something like this. More exciting than a brand new Harley or Indian.
I had a 1933 Harley that was a barn find in 1979. It took two years to restore it to as factory original as we could make it. Unfortunately I had to sell it during my first divorce in 84.
@@danielsarstav7672 First wife was a high school sweetheart I married because I was going to Vietnam. The 2nd wife was a financial decision since I was paying stupid high child support on a cops pay. That wife thought monogamy was a game by Milton-Bradly so I fired her. I was single into my early forties when i met my currant wife. We been married 22 years. I didn't lose any Harley's from my 2nd divorce I learned. I actually paid for the 72 FLH engine rebuild by pulling the Diamond out of the 2nd wife's wedding ring and having a zirconium cubit put in it before I gave her the heave ho and sold the diamond.
Use to find these old Harleys in the 60's 70's and 80's for around $500. Then owning a Harley became fashionable. What had been referred to as "old iron", became a gold standard status symbol. The lifestyle slowly eroded to what it is today.😥 Glad to see these old machines are being respected again. Sign old rusty knees.
Damn! Granddaddy's are dying! Probably not so PC by today's standards. Like to see it, if/ and/ or when you decide to get it running. Knuckles are my personal favorites out of all the HD lineup... Flathead iron is second though...
A little TLC and that'll be as good as new! Question Todd. the locking nut for the top tree, and that piece and cover with it? what are they actually called? I've looked for an age for both and never found them.
Hey...why you tinker with old junk? Why not buy new? In my country we take alot of these to scrap metal for new bike. One was like this and one said Imdion on the tank. We got 50 dollar for both. It was a good day.👏👍💯
