By far the best video I've seen on this plugin. I feel like I actually understand HOW it works now, and WHAT to listen for when a knob is adjusted. Good job, thank you!
This is great, I was trying to use it like a regular compressor and didn't really understand it. This was really helpful, especially when you pointed out that the attack and release times become shorter the more your turn the dial! Thanks man
Wow...this is really impressive. I knowing people claim that the MJUC is just as good but the Waves is flat our way better when you really drive and compress heavily. I vote this LA76 emulation up. There's a reason why this bundle is so expensive.
very nice tutorial !! thank you ! Just one thing : when you get a shorter release there is less compression so we cannot say that when we turn the release button clockwise we apply more compression. But it totally works for the attack time.
Thank you for your comment. Using a short release *sounds* like more compression because the compressor is more active. The faster the gain reduction meter's needle moves, the more compression you will hear subjectively.

looks like a regular compressor to me
Uh, I think he's referring to how when you increase the attack and release you get a shorter time which is not the norm.
Best explanation of this plugin in the web, great job! :D
Thank you for your comment, I do my best. DM
sensational demo, really loved that you covered all the extremes
Thank you for your comment. DM
The fastest realease time with a slow enough attack to not smash the transient, made it sound like you had a reverb on it.

Finally a snare drum video that's not about HOW TO MAKE YOUR SNARE SOUND FAT or roughly translated, "how to make your snare sound like a floor tom"

I used this today on a snare drum, and OMG. SHEEEESSSHHH!!!
I’ll have Latin funk ghost notes percolating in my head for the next hour, wonderful example groove
That's Joe Clancy playing, currently to be heard with Vardis www.vardisrocks.com/ No Latin there though.
Instant subscribe. Incredible video!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for the tutorial. Definitely cleared up some questions I had about this plug in :)
Thank you for your comment.
Good vid. A blue stripe would be a classic urei emulation as universal audio never reissued it.
Really good drummer
Joe Clancy, currently rocking with Vardis www.vardisrocks.com
Great, useful video. Thank you
You're welcome. DM

Why does the CLA 76 affect my tracks panning? when i apply to a vocal or my 808 the stereo image gets fucked. any clue? is this normal?
Are you using the mono version of the plugin?
Great demo! Thanks!
Thank you for your comment.
Great Tutorial! Thumbs up!
Thank you for your comment.
What was the chain into the computer?
Shure SM57 into SSL 9000J into Prism ADA-8 into Pro Tools.
Maybe the microphone too close
This is very strange…. Why do the snare ghost notes sound so far? They seem to come from another snare
They are below the threshold level so they get compressed mcuh different making them sound like not part of it.
