My father was a British airman, stationed in Italy at the end of WWII. He swam in the Blue Grotto in 1945, when there were no tourists. He told me how magical it was but I had forgotten the story until now. I just looked up this video and had a bit of a cry.

I guess there was not as much trouble as in the video... because my amazement about this place went straight down as I saw that there are so many people and that its so loud...

Capri is beautiful but it was also the pleasure palace of Nero and Caligula, where they had countless people killed for their entertainment and other unmentionable things went down.
