  • Is Capri too expensive for you? Is Capri worth visiting? Watch this video for a day
Trip to Capri from Amalfi, Naples. Here is our Capri day trip travel guide.
Capri is known for its stunning beauty and glamorous atmosphere,
    Offering beautiful places like:
Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) Capri Town, Marina Piccola,
Beach Clubs, Boat Tours, and many more.
While Capri is undoubtedly a beautiful and iconic destination,
It does have some drawbacks or considerations that visitors should be aware of.
Capri can be extremely crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons.
The island's small size means that popular attractions and streets can become congested with visitors.
Capri is known for its luxury, which is reflected in the prices.
Due to its small size, Capri has a limited number of hotels that can fill up quickly,
It's advisable to book accommodation well in advance.
Some restaurants near popular tourist areas may be overpriced and offer mediocre food.
Many visitors find Capri's enchanting beauty and unique atmosphere well worth the visit.
Knowing the potential challenges can help you plan your trip
More effectively and ensure a more enjoyable experience.

Just came back from Capri. TAKE A TAXI!!!! Absolutely worth the cost if you value your time.
Also visited Capri on a Tuesday and it was charming, lovely, and just the right amount of busy.
Also strongly suggest taking the regular ferry and not the fast one. The time difference on the boards seems like a lot but in reality is negligible. Also the cost for the regular ferry is 1/3 the cost for the fast one and the regular ferry runs much later

I went to Capri at the end of April 2024. Your advice is very helpful. It wasn’t clear where the tickets were for the funicular ( just from the signs). Many people were in line without a ticket. The wait wasn’t too long, but it still was very crowed in Capri. We took a walk up in the hills in the neighborhood which was perfect-fewer people, beautiful views and even a cafe ( with prices in the menu). Very short wait to go back down to the port. Can’t imagine going in high season.

where do you recommend to stay as a base when visiting capri, sorrento, amalfi, positano, pompeii? Naples or Sorrento or somewhere else? We have rented a car but will park at the accommodation and use the ferry instead?

We have been in Naples for entire week, we drove and used the Ferries as well. Rent a hotel room outside of Naples it will be much cheaper and parking will be free while in Naples hotels parking costs money. In the morning drive to city and park in parking lot near the Naples main station 18 Euro per day and use the public transportation for any destination you want 😀

Nice video I have a question, don't all coffee shops advertise the price on purpose to cheat?

Hello, thanks for watching our Video. I recommend you to choose a different destination like Positano or Sorrento, Which you can reach by ferry from Naples. Capri Island was to busy for us and we been there on September

I’m pretty sure they can just take a train from Rome and stopping in one of the destinations. We took a taxi from Rome to Positano and it was a beautiful ride although expensive using a private driver. Otherwise we took the train all across the country of Italy.

We just took a train from Rome to Naples and the ferry to Capri. The fast ferry is ~50 euros for 2 people. The train ride was ~28 euros. We had lunch for about ~20 euros including sandwiches, drinks, and gelato. We went on a Tuesday in May
