RIP Sven. A gentleman and a legend of the game. He was always pleasant, calm and confident in his approach. He is a man I would loved to have met but sadly never had the chance to do so.
Its sad when someone dies yes.. but why do ppl lie and when someone dies they got OTT and say they were legends etc. Legend managers were Paisely, Fergie, Pep, Shankly, Ancelloti, Clough etc. Sven was not a legend manager.. out of the big league trophies he won a serie a title and uefa cup thats it
He was a great man to man coach. Gentleman.. well, ask Nancy about that. He looked out well for himself and his family. He had his ups and downs. A remarkable 80's and 90's. After that it unfortunately went downhill when it comes to coaching honours.
@mh9tv How sad do you have to be to post that after someone has passed. Then again, it appears your a normal troll. To make yourself feel better you have to bring someone else down. Show some respect
@@mh9tv It's called a tribute. Seriously dude, just STFU, there's no need for that rubbish right now. Find something else to be outraged about and just let people pay their respects, albeit on here.
September 1st 2oo1 Munich what a glorious game. 5-1 to England against the Germans. Thank you for the wonderful memories sven. My thoughts go out to all family members. Rest in peace. God bless. ❤
Rest in peace Sven, so glad he was able to lead out the Liverpool legends at Anfield in January, a great man, deepest sympathies to his family and friends
Sven has passed on but i think he did the very best he could with the players he had...He had no great midfielders in terms of dribble, pace and skill for England..The debate on Gerrard 'on the left' who else would we have played out there!..He got England, rebuilt the backline and three QFs in the row took England back to international strength which they last had in the 1980s and in the 1996-98 period under Venables/Hoddle..
Interesting how Eriksen was appointed England manager with a strong CV in European football to his credit, including plenty of trophies at some big clubs. These days you don't need to have managed anyone to be the England manager! An embryo would get an interview.
Oh yeah that Steve McClaren who took the England job and told Sven that he'd be welcome back in the changing room when he got England into a Final. The worst manager England ever had talking about someone who was far, far superior. RIP Sven

Yeah that was sweet to see as Sven was a lifelong red. I think it meant a lot to him to take charge of the team for that legends game.
R I P Sven Goran Eriksson 💙💙
Clearly Sven was a top bloke as well as being a top football manager. RIP
It's great to see that you spelled his first name correctly.
