Sorry to hear about your grandpa bro.
That was awesome to see!
Sorry about your loss buddy hope your doing ok.
We bought the harrow in the video its in goods hands here in Cuba City Ryan.
sorry to here bout the loss of ur grandpa...I know how it feels
WHY SELL WHAT YOU HAVE
I'm sorry to hear about your grandather
I bought your chicken crates on the sale. It was a pretty good sale.
sorry for your lost you have rilly nice eqitment to bad you had to sell good luck with nerw stuff
Ryan why not keep the jd693 corn head, the one u use now is older isn't it?
Are you guys gonna buy another 8r so you can use the 4640 all year without duals on?
did you keep the best stuff?
Where did you find the space to put all of that!😳
I have always wondered about the sale. have you ever done a video on what you kept/bought back?
+Joel Schroeder I should do one of those.
Should have kept all his equipment
Man, I never thought so many ppl would have such a hard time grasping the concept of this video...
+Joshua Anthony Really , Not me ! I think I have lost faith in my fellow man !! I'm surprised nobody has ask him if his grandfather died or something !!
Keep farming
at 635 sec i saw a canon strap i could assume u use a DSLR rebel but was wondering what model ? and sorry you lost your gramps
are you selling all of the equipment
When my great grandpa passed away we kept all his equipment and still use most of it so why did you sell his?
+Taylor Wilhelm who did he give them to?
+How Farms Work my uncle I'm pretty sure
Well technically.if it aint register on his name, you can keep it and say you own it!!!The tractors if its register on his name, than its a bit hazy, but if its like a heder or something you dont need to register to use than u can say you own it,and keep it.
he said in a later video his grandfather didn't leave the equipment to them.
Well thats not too nice, but like i said if it doesnt have documents you can say you bought it with your own money!!
So I recently subscribed to your channel and I'm really interested in your content and I just wanted to ask did you actually sell it? How then you have equipment in your recent videos? I'm confused...
That's really sad that your grandfather passed away :(
do tall still have the farm
Why did you sell grandpas equipment
Just out of curiosity why r u uploading these videos now did u just find them?
They should of had you do this video before the sale to help sell everything
Why did u now keep the tractors
To clear up all the confusion in the comments... This is an old video from April, 2014
+Jer Bear I added more to the description to help people with this lol
lol
Where are you in wisconsin
Who did the sale?
I have herd you say before that none of the equipment was willed to your father, how come tho if you don't mind me asking?
+Peyton Horton You've never heard of family squabbles, I guess? The ONLY way to fairly distribute assets is a public auction to bring fair market value for the equipment. HTH
+Peyton Horton We were given a select few, but everything that wasn't included is shown here and in the next video.
it is old footage got it now
You should of kept all that plus the farm
U quitting farming or just reducing inventory
Had me worried that the best UA-cam channel was about to go down in history. Did you just upload the video, is that why it shows up as new in the feed?
Yes, we're purging all of our transitional videos from the dairy operation to our current operation.
Did you quit farming
just out of curiosity why didnt you keep any of the hay equipment or tractors?
+Gafarmer7410 Grandpas estate was sold . Doesn't mean Ryan or his brother or Dad couldn't buy it to use for themselves, now does it?
+57fitter well i was just asking because when my grandfather's equipment was being sold we picked through the equipment we wanted to keep and ended up keeping some of the tractors and hay equipment
Gafarmer7410 Great example of why they had a public auction. Some heirs could have said you got things free or less than FMV and got all whiny. The auction is about fairness to the heirs.
+57fitter okay i understand that really sucks we didnt have that problem my dad and i were the only ones who worked the farm so we got the choosing and then the money went to pay to keep my grandfathers properties
+57fitter We still bid on equipment we wanted, we just couldn't tell anyone which pieces of equipment were good and which were useless, so we kept that info to ourselves and made sure no one knew who was bidding.
I don't understand why you would sell it all
so was That corn head auctioned off and you bought a different corn head we in more current videos? that 693 has poly snouts and I think you guys are running a tin snout head
+Jordan Vinski We are happier with the tin snouts because they vibrate less than the head you see in this video.
The fuel tanks:Green diesel and Red diesel. Red is for only farm equip and green is for hwy trucks...
+Lankster Price We used them to symbolize green as dyed diesel and red as gasoline.
are you auctioning every thing outside?
+bestbadger vlogs Everything you see in this video and the next were auctioned. Some of the equipment you see here we still have.
Why did you no just keep all this stuff
why couldnt you guys keep some of the stuff
Maybe there were other siblings that didn't farm that had to be bought out or they demanded a sale.
howfarmswork, im sorry to hear about your grandfather! do you have any video of him?
+Courtney & Jonathan He's in a few videos I posted prior to 2014, which ones I'm not totally sure. I know in one video he walked into the shed. Another I recorded a video of him spreading manure.
Even though it is old I'm sorry about your grandfathers passing
Im confused is this a new video or an old video just newly uploaded?
+Jacob Badrick Old video from 2014
Why did you sell the equipment because when you have kids you can tell them that this was your great grandfathers things and did you sell the mule?
+Mason McGaughey ...It is an example of what can happen when there is no will or estate plan in place. Multiple families and generations and no realistic way to split up the property. Almost forgot, the government wants a cut. Not sure if that is what happened here.
Luckily we had a will in place but even that isn't a good route to go down anymore. Too much to be contested.
+How Farms Work did you sell some your farm equipment or not?
All of my grandfather's equipment was sold, none of ours. Anything still featured in our videos today that isn't in the video today and tomorrow we still have.
Are you stopping farming
are you guys shutting down the farm
you, you sale the farms?
No the video is from 2014
+joshua sharpe thanks
where is part 2
Part 2 is coming tomorrow!
how old was ur grandpa was when he passed away?
83
I had 7 grandparents until 7th grade He was 54 my parents had me young and the age range for my grandfathers is 58 to 73 and the age range for my grandma's is like 59 to 70.
Wow... you look so little here!
Are you done farming. Why are you selling all your equipment
Why is the plug in it illegal
If your referring to the fuel tanks, the plug on the bottom of the tank is a "potential" for a fuel spill. The plug could be welded solid on the tank but the Wisconsin DNR will only see a plug that could leak. When the idea for banning underground fuel storage on farms began to float around over 30 years ago due to ground water contamination, my dad and I dug our tanks up. Good thing we did since the gasoline tank was in rough shape.. But despite that, beneath that gasoline tank was living the biggest, fattest earthworm I have ever seen before or since.
It says for me today ?
+madmax ower That is when I posted it. This is from April 7th, 2014.
You look like such a baby in this video! How old are you, (if you don't mind answering)? I would have guessed early thirties in your latest videos.
your done farming??
Read the beginning of the video. It is from 2014
O OK I didn't pay any attention. Woops
Are you guys selling your farm or something?
+Weed Diver,1227 Its from April 7th, 2014
+Adapt Gaming Really, for a second there I thought they quit on farming.
Me to but if you look at the beginning at the top left it says the date.
+Adapt Gaming Yeah I really wasn't paying attention to that, but thanks for letting me know.
His gramma deid
Why did you sell all that?
Extra money and probably gave them a lot of space in the machine sheds
+beartechdeck We sold because my grandfather passed away and selling everything was the only way to split up the value equally.
hey. im from ireland. why did ye host a sale
Grandfather died and the equipment wasn’t willed to us.
+How Farms Work sorry to hear. he would be proud
I like the Mennonite

Probably bothers you guys a little to watch this? Sucks when things like this happen.
+Cherryfarmboy60 Not really. Definitely cool to see all the old equipment we used to work with and preserves everything.
+How Farms Work that's good. I always like how you keep a positive attitude on everything, we need more of that in the farming industry, everyone always seems to be a debby downer haha
Are you selling the farm
