Always wanted to participate on the Trans-Provence or the Trans-Savoie, now the aim is the Stone King Rally, what an awesome experience it must be, and all the work behind to get to this event, it's huge, kudos to everyone involved
The fact we get individuals we may never meet create videos for all to see with great narration like this thank you. With such great drone shots of the valleys and trails. Gave this random individual inspiration to seek adventure on new trails in new communities. Thank you. Video that I didn’t expect but the one I needed.
This is a really cool and awesome video. Such a cool scenery that represents a whole new world in a world. It's very soothing and relaxing to watch this beautiful and calming nature doing its natural thing. Thank you so much for sharing this and wishing you all the best :)
@@thomassanio8745 The trails are located in the alps between France and Italy, from a height of over 10,000 feet down to the sea. Monte Monviso (the Stone King of the title) is here: 44.667880392743115, 7.090590730593173
The bad side of this process is the overpopulation of the trails... which could be a bad thing at the end. Hope It will be stay pure and reasonable. Amazing footage thx for sharing.
If you read more about what Ash and the locals say it's that their problem is the trails don't get enough traffic. They become overgrown and disappear. They need more tires on trails, which is a very different experience that most mountain bikers have.
Great drone shots...I'm wondering where Ash recharges his e-bike on all of these epic rides? In his sprinter van? Is the rally bike race for e-bikes as well? (Kind of takes the "toughest MTB race" out of the discussion.
Love the bike design ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Yoo Santa Cruz wassup with so much narration and house mums talking in MTB video? Just Hire bBradhurst next time to ride up the Enchilada and make a video instead of dramatizing a bike packing route .. Clearly there so much "energy" talking in the video I lost track - whats the video ALL ABOUT?
The beautiful thing about life is every story is different and requires a different way to tell it. There’s more shredits coming, if that’s your thing. And trust us you would never bikepack this route. The trails are way more technical than you might think. It’s why most people choose big travel enduro bikes when they ride these routes.
SC going from goofy Syndicate videos to the other end of the intellectual spectrum of MTB, making people uncomfortable. 😅 Felt rather scripted to be honest. Either that, Ash Smith’s a smart cookie with lyrical vocabulary.
No issues with assembly for me ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".

Must be an amazing experience! Love how this gives back to local communities and trail maintenance.
Proper Mountain Biking ❤
Ash is clearly an absolute legend. He deserves all the recognition he gets. The true spirit of adventure mountain biking 🤘🏻🔥
stopped watching this on the computer so I can watch it on the large TV and appreciate how good the images are...
It really needs the big screen, does it?
@@santacruzbicycles2841 yep, looks dreamy!
Spectacualr vid!! These are the trails we all aspire to find and ride on!!
For sure, this is the bucket on any ones MTB bucket list!!
The TOUR i was looking for. You are a genius!
Yes, yes and yes! We need more of this in America!
Such a beautiful project and trail system. If I ever get the chance to ride this I will take advantage!
Go for it!

Couldn't agree more. Thank you for the best wishes. Same back at you.
superb landscape thank you for the French translation
Epic event! Bucket list for sure. A stretch to say it’s the hardest though.
80 very tired faces last year would say otherwise. We've done a lot of the other races and this one tops it for full immersion.
What would you suggest is the hardest?
Great event, thanks Ash.
Ding,dang…2023 is full. Guess I’ll plan for 2024. This looks like a blast.
Love this! Well done and thanks!
You are so welcome!
This video makes me feel even more fortunate to live and ride in this area.
Where is this trail system located?
We're very jealous. We love our local trails but your area is...just wow!

Amazed
Wow 💯👍
thank you for being you...
Believe it or not it takes one to know one, he has hsam like I do, the ability to blue print 3D and many other talents as well
How do I do this
Yeah
Where is this gem located?
Look up Monte Viso (The king of Stone). Then draw a jiggly line from there all the way to the Med. The route changes every year.
Nice
you meant an e-mountain biker...
Yeah, they lost me with the moped. Not impressed.
Where do you sign up for this ?
Sending hugs
👍
😍🤙👍
The tour not the race
I want to go and be free

First half of the film... Everyone take a turn stroking Ash's ego... Including the man himself.
As a media guy that's very perceptive of you. The truth is the vision of Ash is grand and people want to follow it. It's not a cult...
ride a real bike
Dude, stop talking

Great stuff Ash.
@@Stickybutton It was "scripted" in so far as I didn't memorise the VO that I wrote for the film. Thanks for your feedback though.

too much talking with superficial dramatization
