I've loved it for so many years. Thank you very much for having beautifully immortalized the indomitable and unique Sylvie Guillem ! Apart, unclassifiable, formidable, remarkable, gifted, she has not finished dazzling me in many videos that I always watch. Best wishes for the continuation of her immense career as a mesmerizing ballet dancer. I remember a ballet where Sylvie didn't have the leading role, it was a choreography for various great dancers. However, she alone burst the room. We could not see her by her gestures, her way of interpreting the role. Amazing and wonderful. THANKS
She was astonishing, sublime. She left the scene some time ago but has not been replaced to this day. There are many magnificent ballerinas worldwide, but none have reached her level of perfection, grace, flexibility, technique, musicality, mastery, and expressiveness. She had gone into ballet as one enters into religion. An enchantress!

@@francinesicard464 I translated you because I speak very little English, despite living partially in the USA and other travels. That said, I would say that there are some amazing ballerinas out there right now who are prodigious. Others who have disappeared leave me with ineffable memories. I agree with you on the charisma and the very distinguished and unique personality of this prodigy ballerina that R. Nureyev had noted. Indeed, I was captivated so many times by the dazzling variations and eclectic choreographies revisited. One of my aunts officiating in classical ballet (it was her passion) did not really appreciate certain characters revisited in classical ballet only. I thank you for the shared enthusiasm, your laudatory descriptions, all in color like the immanence and transcendence of Sylvie Guillem who has therefore retired. I don't know if she still appears in older registers like Mikhail Nikolayevich Baryshnikov and so many others. Alicia Alonso was still dancing at 60: I remember a ballet where she was the star in Manhattan. I don't know on what basis the title of Prima Ballerina Assoluta is awarded, because I regret that Sylvie Guillem has not received it, for the moment. I think this is my favorite yet.. but it’s becoming a “Sophie’s Choice” situation. This was so geometrical: my mathematical brain couldn’t stop marveling at all the angles in each CAUGHT moment: her wrists, legs, arms, head. I’d call it Curved Lines: it’s not universal like mathematics because it’s UNIQUE and TIMELESS like only few can be.

Je n’ai jamais vu, à talent égal, une danseuse qui soit aussi belle a regarder qu’elle. Aucune limite physique, donc technique, une forte personnalité, une artiste qui revendique le droit d’être plus qu’une exécutante de la création d’un chorégraphe, elle a en plus la morphologie rêvée et parfaite d’une danseuse. Tout est BEAU. Il n’y a qu’à la voir dans Manon. On dit sublime non ?
