- Today guys, I'm redoing my my video on adding compatibility for Zeemods to your favorite trucks that aren't compatible with his engines out of the box. I also jump into how to add compatibility to Kreichbaum's 3.7 engine pack, especially if you like the C-15 engine.

I just saw a 3min video that was st8 forward and way to simple/easy and it works I was trying to follow this for a while now and sorry ftg you made this longer then it had it be lmao😂💀 still good video man keep it up!
So, the open-def files have .sii files that you take and put into the folder with the name of your truck (and you get the truck's name from its def file). And with that folder with your truck's name and the .sii file of the engine you want it to use, it is able to pull from an encrypted archive (or whatever these modders do to hide people from accessing the .ogg files they use to create their sounds) and load up that engine for that specific truck you want.

Does kriech have the 625 cat? I only see the 550 in the SCS stock trucks
I know this video is old but Zee has released an open def editor. You just need the small app and the truck name.
How did you get the 3xx interior sounds to work on ksw 352

Maybe you can help me with correct working Peterbilt 3xx interior sound/effects by Zee in my Pete 352? Not hear any sound effects when i try to using it... For example Kw w9xx from Zee is working fine for me
Under normal circumstances I’d say I’m not doing something special but I’m really not. You would need to direct that question to him or his discord for support.
Are you doing a vid for KSW's light pack? There are no folders for trucks in his open def.

What if the truck is a default SCS truck from the base game and there is no def file for it?
Zeemods instructions state the Sii files need to be renamed as well to the correct truck name.
So that is not necessary/doesn't make a difference?
Which Zeemod engine for ATS do you think is the best sounding turbo? Also what audio settings do you use? I followed Zeemods sound levels but they are distorting at high RPM :(

Tried this and it didnt work for me. How do u add the engines to workshop trucks.
Every time I try to download the "kriechbaums free sound pack for ATS", it only downloads it as an .SCS file and not as a .WAR file to extract and pick out sounds. Is there a way to find the internal pieces of the .SCS file to locate the sound files to use on TMP?
i tried adding RTA Kenworth T908 to Big Cam Cummins from Zee mods. the game loads and i can select the engine, but there’s no sound at all. and also no logo on the engine when purchasing. can anyone help please??

i did exactly what you did and now i cant get in my zeemod engine file cause it says damaged or unknown i tried other videos way to fix that error but it doesnt work you probably just broke my new file and every time i reinstall it it comes back in the same packed file and i cant unpack it

you shouldnt need anymore horse power with proper trans and rear end ratio. I used the Detroit Diesel 500 with a 13 speed and a 1.79 rear end and i can haul the big oversized loads like butter

I downloaded the new Volvo dlc pack and for some reason all I have in the freight market is tires? Also how do you try out the beta convoy mode with mods? Does it automatically download to it?
as for the dlc pack.. sleep and it usually resets the economy. As for the beta stuff, I'm working on the video for that now

I checked the steam websitem it says if you subscribe you can get sounds etc. But when i get on the game on the dlc content it says active . The question is i cant use this items what am I doing wrong or what steps am I missimg it also happens with new trucks I tried to have. Thanks.
Hello! What about the Zeemods Interior packs? How does that work? I dont see any open def for the interior packs.. Does it link only if you use their engines or how does it work?
Unless something is changed the interior packs are already set. There is no open death to add other trucks to the interior pack. To check compatibility you’ll have to go to zeemods website and check which trucks are available for which interior pack you wish to have. The only thing the open their folders allow you to do is make the engines themselves compatible with multiple trucks.

yes as long as you know the truck def. name or know how to get to it in your steam workshop mod content.

How to you transform the zip into scs format?
you can use winrar to change it, but you theoretically can just change the .zip to .scs but they are the same in the eyes of scs. They will still work the same.
Tried to get the DD60 14L from Zeemods to work with the FLC (BSA Revision) but I just get crashed even with the Open DEF done right, thanks anyway will help in the future for other things I'm sure :)
Ive been trying to add these to workshop trucks i have but nothing works at all. Seems these only work on paid truck mods.
so i downloaded a zee mods engine sound pack and want to use it for default trucks, but im only seeing how to do it for modded trucks. the files arent showing up in my mod manager. what do I do?

Tried adding blades western star 4900 to zeemods c16, followed your video step by step. My def files are zip files. I added the truck name to the file like you did, only thing is, it stayed a zip file and I couldn’t get it to work. 🤷🏼♂️ maybe I missed something.
I've added that engine to it so I'm not really sure what you did, but double check the folder structure and make sure it's correct. I know that it works though as I've done it.

This didn't work for me. Wanted JCs engine pack for the Jasper DAF 2021 and it didn't work
I changed Winrar to my default app and now it says "the archive is either in unknown format or damaged". Cant open it at all now.
some of the zips are protected now and the modders are locking them down. Some it will work and some it won't

So you can most definitely add engine compatibility to payware trucks. IT's just not a newbie thing to be trying. You basically only have to know the official naming of the truck to add it to most any of the engine packs.

just copy the folder and rename it. That's all you have to do. I think I have like 5 or 6 truck folders in that open def file. all copies of one another.

Yes you can as long as you know the truck name as described in the vid. If you don’t know it, send Jess a message and ask him for the truck name.

So if you already have zeemod sound in mod folder in your mod folder you have to pull to desktop to add sounds to trucks and than put zeemod back in your mods folder am I right
@@davinkirksey463 I just demonstrated it that way so you can keep up with it more but you can do that straight out of the mods folder if you’re comfortable.

it doesn't have to be. You can leave it zipped up and it will still read.

If you have a paid mod that is locked you can unlock it by using d.a.r.t and it will unlock the mod

i bought Zeemods the sound pack Cat c16 and i want to add it to the default kenworth w900 in ats i have watched the video a million times and stil i dont understand how you add the def files to be a mod or the get it to a scs.

The default kenworth already works with the C16 by default. When you go back to buy that mod, there is a hyperlink that you click that will tell you what trucks they're compatible out of the box with. This video is for adding compatibility with trucks that by default are not compatible.

Doesn't work, was recommended this video, and it resulted in no change at all to my problems with getting engine functionality. Clearly something has changed in recent updates to prevent this type of modification.
