grace abounding to the chief of sinners (me) to finally happen upon the treasures of this channel
! i've enjoyed asmr for yonks, but left a long while ago when stuff got a bit weird.
elseways, i'm so thankful to have found your channel. i'll have to bimble about and see if there are others.
i've added some books to the list, too, very interesting! I recommend "The Mission of God" by Joe Boot if you haven't already read it, that chonker of a tome pulled me right out of the quantum soup, but as you mention around 28:00, might not be for everyone outside the westminster confession.
it's another great day and i hope you are well
. we're alive, we're above ground, thank you for the content.

THANKYOU sooo sweet so intimate so spontaneous and inspirational… I especially like the part about forgiveness…. Very applicable with my sister…. I understand about how you say just cause one church is corrupt does not mean they all are…. TRUE…. Many churches do you get subsidies… then they must adhere to the powers that can push an agenda that is NOT GODLY…. God is taking back his world.. so this will be rectified… it is up to us to hold the churches accountable and to recognize when they are actually enforcing doctrines that run counter to the TRUE MESSAGES OF THE CHURCH… … I ENJOYED BEING ABLE TO INTERACT WITH YOU LIVE all the way across the POND … wow… 💛🧡❤️💚💙💜🤍. Is used to do live interactive chat videos with people on you tube before my channel was taken down because I did not go along with the prescribed globalist doctrines… but this will be made right… hugs and love from the desert. 🌵😁🙏❤️👍✝️🖼✨✨✨

Lately I’ve really enjoyed the new Dietrich Bonhoeffer book by Eric Metaxas, Rich Mullins bio Arrow pointed to Heaven and James Martin ”Jesus”, great Israel travel book.

I ve heard Bonhoeffer talked about but have never read him - must look up the book you've mentioned. I really like the Fr James Martin book. My favourite of his is 'the Jesuit guide to almost everything'. Lots on discernment.... I think he's done a new one recently...

I don't really have a list of favorite Christian books at the moment, but I always highly recommend C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity. It's Very hard to read because the language is very intellectual, but I think it's worth it. It was originally a radio program he did touching on topics that he saw Christians had a lot of questions and concerns about, and he tried to make it something that all Christian denominations could read and agree on. I'm also currently reading a devotional called A Jane Austen Devotional from Thomas Nelson that I'm really enjoying. They take excerpts from her different novels and then have a little devo related to them which always includes a couple of related bible verses. The devo's are short but very thought-provoking. I like that they're not shallow like they easily could have been. 'Elizabeth's mother is bad, so don't be bad.' For example: 'Jesus didn't wait until we deserved His love to give it to us. Instead, He committed to love us first. This required serious sacrifice - the same kind of sacrifice a husband and wife should commit to each other, even when the other is acting neither lovingly nor attractively. Christ's example teaches us this: love is not first and foremost about finding our spouses physically, emotionally, or intellectually our equals. It is about the commitment to love...no matter what.' (This is in reference to the relationship between Mr. and Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.)
