Having broths on the shelf is comforting can whip up a meal or a pan of gravy in a blink. Moose bone broth is special unlike commercial cow they are wild and have so many good nutrients that the other animals don't. Really doing well on your home stead. Blessing to you and yours on this holiday. He is risen, that's the good news😊. God bless
So happy to see you freeze drying some of your eggs, it’s a nice way to preserve them for long term. I Have a med dryer and can only do 12 eggs a tray, it’s nice you could do 18 a tray. The bone broth and potatoes turned out wonderful. I now know what I did wrong on my canned potatoes. I didn’t blanch them and now they are in a thick looking jell in the jars. It’s OK though I just rinse them before I fry them, but yours look so much better. Tell Aaron he is hired as a bacon smoker, it always looks so good. Have a Blessed Day.
We are 67 years old. We have my husbands grandmothers pressure cooker just like your new one. It has the screw tops also. Ours is very old, but I love it.
Worried I wasn’t going to see Aaron today. I enjoy your videos with Aaron. Thank you Jessica for sharing your busy life. Your brother is beautiful the color is perfect. God bless
Hi Jessica, Aaron and sweet family, I hope you all had a very Blessed Easter! Good job on preserving. Jessica, the that broth looks so dark and flavorful. Aaron, you really make me miss real home cured bacon. It’s so much better than any store bought bacon. Have a blessed day everyone!
Getting all the things done. Canning and splitting wood and making bacon. Man you 2 are busy. Good to see you both. Be blessed and I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Have enjoyed spending a part of my Easter Sunday afternoon with you and Aaron. Sitting in my lift chair lounger and eating Chinese. Nothing says Easter like an egg roll. This has been a prolonged season of questionable health. Love you. Until our next visit. ❤Momma G
Hi sweet one! You certainly had a busy couple of days!!! It is so nice that you can get so much done together...I love it!!! I hope you had a blessed Easter Sunday! Big hugs and many blessings, my sweet friend!
Just a hint. Add some white vinegar to the canner water when canning. Keeps the lime From the hard water turning your jars white. Hint from central Indiana.
We away keep potatoes 🥔 until the new one are ready to eat. Go through them alot in the root cellar. We would put 30 bushels a year. took from them to plant. Watching from West Virginia ❤
Hello, from BC, Canada. Just came across your channel,.... and I love this video. so I'm a ew subscriber for you. I'm also a very new canner, and live in a 1 bdrm apt, so there's not much I can do alot of. Thank you for showing me some easy canning projects!!
Thanks for sharing. You know how to utilize time productively. Larry would love moose broth. All others looked yummy. Looking forward to the next one. Hope you had a good Easter.
Look at you go. I did a bunch of canning last week, the last of our beets, chicken broth and potatoes as well. Omgoodness the bacon looked soooo good, great video Jessica 🇨🇦🌷
Happy Easter, Jess! I just finished 7qts and 3 pts of potatoes at my house. Beets tomorrow, and some quick breads. Been busy gearing up for spring. Working on the freezer next! Great that your girls are working for you. Would love to see you make something with those eggs, like baking or something. I'm saving up for a freeze dryer. May take awhile... but eventually, I'll get one. Take good care! 😊💜🐰
So much awesome preserving!! I, too, need to go through my freezer and do something with my beef and chicken. I have yet to can any meat, but I know I need to take the plunge. Aaron's smoked bacon looked fantastic! Farm fresh breakfast is so awesome! Your broth looks so good. God bless you all!
That’s up to you. You might ok other or store purchased potatoes, I don’t rightly know, but on these home grown thin skin ones you don’t need to peel them
I am trying to get away from freezing everything and start canning. I am interested in the electric canner. Thoughts? Advice? I appreciate your help. I love your videos!!
I love it! It was recommended by rose red, and it’s fantastic! If you can swing it I would get one. Here is my favorite, o love it for broth I don’t often do 16 qts. I might just do 4 from a few chicken bones, so I use it all the time for small projects.
It eats the inside of the canner over time by pushing it into the metal high heat high pressures. So I just opt to do it after. I realized even with it in the canner I end up whipping the jars no matter what. Might as well save the canner and clean the jars I’m going to clean any way after.

Happy Holidays! The flavor of it is so much richer and earthy if that even makes sense to anyone who has never had it. It’s deep in flavor.
Amen!
Potatoes will keep as long as you keep sprouting them . We. Sprout ours three or four times in the winter
Love how the Doggy is sniffing the oven 😅😅

I canned dark purple potatoes and they turned grey.... But they were so beautiful going in the canner!
So true! When you cook them they turn black and look burned when fresh. But in the raw they are the most beautiful potato!

Blessed 🙌 and Joyful ❤ Resurrection Sunday 🙏

Look at you doing things to make other meals and make freeze dried meals! I bet the breakfast meals you make are going to be awesome 💜🐸
When smoking especially fish my Dad loved using corn cobs with only a few wood chips.
Pouring a few glugs of white vinegar into the water before canning will prevent the mineral buildup on the outside of your jars.

If you put a little bit of vinegar about 2 tablespoons in the canner before you sell it, you won’t have that white haze on your

@@modernhomesteadalaska Thanks! I will be getting one!
I thought the dirt on the potatoes was called flavoring. ha ha Did you ever try freeze drying a whole egg?
lol it’s an earthy flavor
Why don’t you put a little vinegar in the pot before you start the process of canning???
It eats the inside of the canner over time by pushing it into the metal high heat high pressures. So I just opt to do it after. I realized even with it in the canner I end up whipping the jars no matter what. Might as well save the canner and clean the jars I’m going to clean any way after.
Your rooster is beautiful he almost looked a little silver. What kind of rooster is he?
