Waiting for a true 70mm IMAX launch in Delhi, the capital of India. What you are building all over is either Digital IMAX, also known as Lie-MAX (as it is a lie to the original, i.e., the 70mm IMAX screen) or a Laser IMAX (4K). The 70mm is the biggest and the truest IMAX screen which must be launched in India no matter how costly its maintenance is but one should be in Delhi. A true theatre runner is the one who brings the truest theatrical experience to the country. So, you should bring a true 70mm IMAX screen to us.

Ain't gonna happen. The existing ones are dying globally, forget about the new 70mm (1.43 aspect ratio with Imax analog projector) that too here in India.
We used to have 70mm IMAX theatres. All of them shut down. So highly doubt we'll ever have screen here considering barely any 70mm IMAX movies release

It's simple imax - digital movie projection which is already present in India at many places.
Not reel imax - where reel is brought for projection
It's not a simple ordinary IMAX, this is the one made with laser and there are only about 6 laser IMAX theatres
The difference being, regular IMAX use dual xenon 2K projection system (which are still good) and this is laser projection 4K.
On the other hand, reel IMAX is just a liability as almost the entirety of movies produced are digital except a minute few (Christopher Nolan films), so it just wouldn't make sense to have a reel IMAX @@7teenseventeen
Broadway Cinemas in Coimbatore has an IMAX Laser with a 12.1 Dolby System.

@@priyamdevbhartiya5060 but bro, you can enjoy prasads to the fullest only when you get the content in 1.90:1 aspect ratio, which only very few movies come yearly. Also, you will find more crispness ans sharpness in IMAX with Laser theatres...
Kindly release the IMAX 3D classics, The Polar Express (2004) and A Christmas Carol (2009) in this. If not now, then this Christmas.

Delhi and Mumbai along with other metros are already having plenty of IMAX screens. But PVR will never think to bring a Single IMAX screen to Hyderabad eventouh they have 13 locations in the city

@@ccx22 Chennai, Coaimbattore has far more cheaper ticket prices when company to Hyderabad. The Plexes rate in Chennai/Tamilnadu can go up to 190Rs only Maximum, whereas in Hyderabad it's 295-330Rs , for RRR it was 410Rs.

Its equipped with single 4K laser projector - cheapest and low standard IMAX there is. Get a GT Laser and an Analog projector. Christopher Nolan shot entire 180min on film with IMAX camera, it's of no use when you screen Oppenheimer if you don't have an Analog projector.
Nothing like IMAX experiences. Even bad movie becomes interesting😄

Not possible. Nobody shot movies in films these days! So it's not feasible. Even old 70mm theaters are being replaced with digital.

People commenting about bringing 70mm, please understand that it's an old film-based technology. Who on earth still wants to shoot in film, and mess around with all the hassle in editing, post-production, printing distribution and all? What movies will have the budget to shot in films? So, understand, 70mm is out-dated! It's FILM! But now, cinema is digital! We're not distributing film rolls to theatres these days, Theaters download the movie directly!

imax laser has better picture clarity that normal imax in india
IMAX laser is even better than xenon imax which is the normal imax. Imax laser has brighter colours, better contrast, better everything. Imax laser is 4k projection whereas imax xenon is 2k projection (which is still better than your other non imax normal screens).
As an Audio Engineer, I'd like to bring forth my opinion on Atmos V IMAX.
IMAX's Audio is Powerful, it'll usually blow you up if you watch films like Ford V Ferrari which has been mixed well. Nolan's films will give you headache (Google it up).
Dolby Atmos on the other hand is an immersive format that has height speakers to imitate sounds coming from top like Thunder or Jet flying apart from sounds coming from side & rear.
So to sum it up, IMAX will give you power, Atmos will give you immersion.
Certain Atmos theatres like those in P[XL] will deliver you power, but those theatres are less in number.
Likewise, IMAX is now coming up with height speakers similar to Atmos but existing IMAX theatres in India do not have that installed.

Dune is not shot in 1.43.... It's shot on digital imax 16:9

PVR is just another business company . The quality is worst to the core in terms of the projection and sound. Moreover the prices of the snacks are like day robbery. They took over SPI cinemas and they literally killed it. That's how it works.
their 2D screen projectors are awful but their auditoriums with dolby atmos are honestly good. Their P[XL] is way better than DLP IMAX.

Please getback 70mm Imax. Technology is improving. Why not recreate 70mm size in digital since film is going out of trend. Always wondered why the multiple laser projectors can't do that even after so many years.
It's not as big as the Phoenix Palladium in lower parel so hence it's not IMAX. Sorry but u guys should stop calling small screens IMAX.
