Alliance Theatre Renovation - 15 month Time-lapse

- If you haven't heard yet, the Alliance Theatre has been undergoing a huge transformation of its stage. Here's what happened during the first 15 months of the renovation.
This is the first major building reinvention for the theater since its construction in 1968 as part of the Woodruff Arts Center campus. The Alliance plans to return to its new theater space for its 50th anniversary season in January 2019.

Man, and to think the theatre near me opened in 1999, yet was renovated only in 2019. And I thought that looked old. LOL

Very interesting! What is all this renovation for though? Is this just new replacements for the old(possibly failing) structure, or is there a production coming soon that will benefit from this new seating arrangement?
