Rocky Mountain horses that are not registered have not been monitored for genetic disorders within the breed. They suffer from Cushing disease. If that doesn’t bother you then go for it.

They pretty much all have Cushings, registered or grade. To eliminate Cushings would be to eliminate the breed.
