    About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

If they’d made an episode when Edith passed away, I’m
sure she would have treated Archie better. Stephanie’s grandmother was a similar person, a somewhat stuck-up and wealthy person that initially thought Archie was dumb and uneducated, but came to accept him and knew he was better qualified than her son in law that couldn’t hold a job and drunk all the time.

Because either bunker was exactly like my mother very naive and ignorant when it came to what's going on in the real world. She wasn't the breadstick woman that's for sure. But yes she had a heart of gold because sometimes ignorance is bliss. And she didn't have to go out and deal with the world every day other than grocery shopping once in a while and going to church

    • @barbarafischbach8480

Because it was a show written by a group of talented script writers for comic effect. It was reflective of the time in which it was written. The men of the Greatest Generation came back from World War II, got married and thus the Baby Boomers, raised by mothers who stayed home and fathers who worked all day to provide for their families.

I've been watching the show since 1978 and there are moments a lot funnier than these 10. The funniest part of Archie being locked in the cellar was when he thought God was black after he saw the oil man and you didn't even show that which got the biggest laugh of the episode. And how can you not have a moment from the Sammy Davis Jr. episode which is the most famous moment in the show's history Sammy kissing Archie at the end got the biggest laugh in the whole history of the show.
