This deserves way more recognition. The characters are actually in character, plus the dialogues are very well made and it's overall creative! It makes me like Saiouma even more than I actually do, which I thought was impossible.
Right? The 2nd most accurate in my list. I think the most accurate I'd ever seen, in more than 5 years of being a DRV3 fan, was a fic titled "Reaching" by kokichiouma. More portrayals of Kokichi being multi-faceted and reasonably closed-off, please. It makes his trust in Shuichi hit harder.

Now this is very interesting. Even when Kokichi pretty much has everything he could want for a fantasy to the point that Shuichi sees Kokichi being himself as his ideal, he just can't let himself enjoy it worries he would get too attached. I honestly see this being much more in character for Kokichi than if he stayed and gave the more lovey dovey ending to this fantasy.
I just saw how many comments were like “this is so underrated!” And I looked up expecting to see thousands of likes and was surprised on how wrong I was. This is definitely underrated and very well made
Fun fact you probably new: Kokichi has severe trust issues and paranoia so he lies to himself a lot about how he 'enjoys the killing game' he doesn't. he hates murder. but the reason he is so open to Suichi is because he trusts him.
The love hotel was very interesting to play and I had fun exploring all the different characters' feelings about the protagonist and Kokichi's ideal being a relationship with Shuichi really surprised + interested me. I also find it intriguing that Kokichi's ideal would be sort of a "thrill of the chase" dynamic while Shuichi seems to want a calmer, settled relationship with Kokichi which shows how their values oppose so strongly. Just a really good way of taking canon content and turning it into smth new while also telling a story about how these two characters view eachother. Also the way it looks exactly like the games is just 🤌 MWAH magnificent.
This is honestly a great concept. I’ve always wondered what shuichi’s love hotel would be like and adding his complicated relationship with kokichi makes this even more interesting. wish we got to see something like this in the actual game!!
