Lithium is very volatile and violently reacts with many things, like water for instance. even in a lab environment it can be hard and dangerous to work with, it eats away at glassware, and then comes into contact with the air, which usually contains moisture and ends up catching fire. lithium fires are nasty and damn near impossible to put out, cause you cannot do so with water, even immersing the fire in an inert gas such as argon could fail to put it out, which is why it is common practice among fire departments to just let lithium burn itself out and to worry only about "exposures." so if what you claim to have done is true, i am almost certain that it WAS NOT a lithium battery, more likely a lead acid battery or a NiCad battery, both of which are far more stable to punctures. once again if you dont believe me you can try it yourself, although i really dont recommend as there are plenty of videos just here on youtube.

I have seen injection machines previusly at a different company but the molds they had at BSH (Bosh pretty much) were really well polished compared to the ones Ive seen before.

I love the box, shows it over a friggin wood floor! I can see young'uns and the uneducated picking this up after watching a home fix up show and attempting to fix that floor in the house.... Before going through the discs and one set of batteries and it never gets used again.

But I have a few things at home this would be perfect for, like smoothing the wooden globe heads on the wooden fence before reapplying a new coat of varnish and clear coat over it. I'd rather use this tool than do it by hand with sanding paper.

As soon as you mentioned the "universal joint" to power the heads I thought of exactly how they did it! It's the exact same way that they get the power from the diff to the wheels on a lot of RC cars (Certainly on Tamiya models). Simple, cheap to make and for the given parts, relatively effective!

They already make a tool for that, it’s basically a foam sanding pad holder on a bearing with a handle... spin the bowl, press it against and that spins the disc, foam lets it curve into any spot.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about take the time to go watch some of his shop tours and you'll see how large of an operation a lot of companies have geared only at bringing more skilled workers into the trades. Would love to see you do a video on Hilti powder activated steel decking guns. The engineering on those things must be particularly insane. We use them to attach steel decking to steel beams, but I've never had the chance to take one apart and really look at the internals. Wanted to, just never had the time. Maybe you could give Hilti some suggestions because it seems like the guns are always breaking down. They work good when they work tho.

I'm not sure on the POM thing or maybe i understood it wrong, but apart from the acid or chlorine thing POM is quite good with water because it is not verry hygroscopic. Woud be quite a waste of time if it were, my dad made cooling mantels for some part of a juicepress for a quite large company. I do expect them to know what kind of material they have to use.

I wonder if it has the extra voltage tap on the battery because they are using unmatched cells that are rejected from the higher quality tools. If the cells aren’t matched then they are definitely going to hit the low voltage limit at different times so you have to check all of their individual voltages to be safe.
When I had one of them new fangled Mercedes automobiles, the Mercedes parts always worked great, but any time something broke, the parts I removed always said "Bosch India" on them. I think the days when Bosch cared about quality are long gone. It's all about shaving those 2 pennies off the costs now (as with most companies I guess) Regardless, replacing broken Bosch parts always made me sad. Now lets not even get started on how Bosch almost bankrupted Mercedes with the faulty injector scandal that resulted in hundreds of dead cars parked all around every dealership in the land, waiting for Bosch to ship injectors that actually worked
I think Bosch was involved in the Volkswagen and Chrysler diesel emissions cheating scandals. I also think that in time we will find that Cummins Mack/Volvo and Detroit are cheating as well. They all use a Bosch designed control system for the emissions systems. I find it strange that Cat was the only manufacturer that used their own system and it failed miserably.
Think there's actually a decent use case for this....headlight restoration! That would speed up the process of polishing back UV oxidised polycarbonate headlights no end.

I bought a cheap as chips Parkside oscillating point sander a while back, it's been really handy for renovating my ornate wooden staircase.
My favourite bit was at the end when Ave was trying to sand the pallet with no sanding pads attached... like, just the bare velcro! Classic
Bet two of these opposed 180° would turn reasonably round balls into pretty uniform spheres. Not willing to try my self though...

That battery looks suspicously like the same pattern of contacts and grooves as the Milwaukee M12 batteries. I wonder if there is a common OEM for both?

I'm not sure on the POM thing or maybe i understood it wrong, but apart from the acid or chlorine thing POM is quite good with water because it is not verry hygroscopic. Woud be quite a waste of time if it were, my dad made cooling mantels for some part of a juicepress for a quite large company. I do expect them to know what kind of material they have to use.

The whomp of a static discharge in a midian blaster is a prity good one as you may know, some times makes your wrist turn in.
I finaly got our blaster grounded at work and was wondering, Is it possible to capture the static build up in a media blaster?
Instead of discharging into my forearms and making my buddies twitch like a tweaker, It discharges into my makita batery or some AAs for the ol'lady.

I wonder if it has the extra voltage tap on the battery because they are using unmatched cells that are rejected from the higher quality tools. If the cells aren’t matched then they are definitely going to hit the low voltage limit at different times so you have to check all of their individual voltages to be safe.
When I had one of them new fangled Mercedes automobiles, the Mercedes parts always worked great, but any time something broke, the parts I removed always said "Bosch India" on them. I think the days when Bosch cared about quality are long gone. It's all about shaving those 2 pennies off the costs now (as with most companies I guess) Regardless, replacing broken Bosch parts always made me sad.
Now lets not even get started on how Bosch almost bankrupted Mercedes with the faulty injector scandal that resulted in hundreds of dead cars parked all around every dealership in the land, waiting for Bosch to ship injectors that actually worked

I think Bosch was involved in the Volkswagen and Chrysler diesel emissions cheating scandals. I also think that in time we will find that Cummins Mack/Volvo and Detroit are cheating as well. They all use a Bosch designed control system for the emissions systems. I find it strange that Cat was the only manufacturer that used their own system and it failed miserably.
Nunya...Bosch also made the garbage diesel cp4 fuel pump that gm is being sued for as they all crap out.

Wow...I didn't think I'd see that sander again. I had the Craftsman 3D sander and just did not use it that much. Cool looking though.
Not sure if someone has said it yet, those sanding disks are the Abramesh type, actually much better than old school one. Meant to clear dust and not clog as fast
