Keeping a “running” kitchen is the trick to ease of cooking at home !!! When people complain about cooking I try and explain to them that when you only cook a random meal you have to start from square one and get ALL the needed ingredients but if you cook daily you are using and replenishing ingredients not throwing away unused things that have gone bad.
    I love your ways !!!
Blessings and Merry Christmas to all !!!!

That's it. Also looking at leftovers as a gift to be stretched is the way to make cooking from scratch meals easier than take out ❤

@@BloodSweatandFears oh what joys you have ahead !!! Being a mom and homemaker are a lot of work and can definitely feel overwhelming but there is nothing more fulfilling and rewarding ! You will find your way, just don’t be too hard on yourself and whatever you do, don’t compare yourself to others !!! Use these videos as a guide, a text book per say to learn from and build what works for you and your family !!! Lisa here on Farmhouse on Boone is a master at her craft, I wish I would of had her influence when I was a new mom. Another channel that I just love is “homesteading with the Zimmerman’s”, Ruthann from that channel is just an amazing woman, there you will also see a lot of parenting while teaching her children homesteading and all those responsibilities, she is a gem !!!
Keep God at the center of your marriage and home !
      Blessings

Those doughnuts look wonderful. Yum. Great idea to let grandparents buy the kids main gifts & you fill everyone's stockings. It is important that even with the excitement of presents, it not become a totally conspicuous consumer holiday of buy, get, gimme.

Also, your daughter is a dynamo baker! Love how efficiently she cut the biscuits. Hope your holidays are joyful, peaceful and safe. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hey, I'm just starting out as a homemaker and your channel inspires me. Just a small suggestion, if you're switching to matcha because of caffeine concerns, then you're doing yourself more harm than good. Matcha contains just as much, if not more caffeine than coffee. I just found out because I'm pregnant and was looking for good alternatives.

Lisa, I want to cry! Last year I tried my hand at sourdough over a dozen times, never really getting an amazing rise, the dough was always a bit gummy. While it still tasted amazing, I finally decided to take a break from it. The other day I decided to break out my 4 month old starter from the fridge and revive it. I used your beginner sourdough recipe and I have never been more proud of one of my loaves before. It finally clicked in my head when you told us that a lot of the times when you bake sourdough yourself you don’t wait a specific amount of time for the starter to double, or in between stretch and folds. I just used my instincts over following timing and that was the key! Thank you so much!
