Anne Reid and the entire cast are brilliant in this disturbing but true story. It is upsetting to see what happened to these innocent and decent people.
I watched the whole series yesterday and I couldn’t believe just how brilliant this was. Both Timothy Spall and Anne Reid were utterly incredible in their roles. I’m Australian so wasn’t familiar with this case at all, but my goodness this mini series really shone a light on the police investigations which led to the conviction of Ben Fields. Anne Reid is so watchable in everything she does, as is Timothy Spall ❤ The team that brought The Sixth Commandment together are to be commended 🙌🏽
The Sixth Commandment, though disturbing on a number of levels, is the best TV drama I've seen this year. Anne Reid is terrific, but everybody associated with it should be commended.
Anne Reid don't stop. I love every drama or film that I've seen you act in. I think you're such a good actress. Beautiful too, definitely not "an old lizard" - as you put it! 😀
I love everything Anne Reid does. In fact we are blessed with so many mature actors and actresses (am I still allowed to say that word?) who bring so much talent and empathy to their roles. This particular drama was very tragic. The two people killed by this awful man were so lovely and had so much life left in them. I hope Anne gets the recognition she deserves. How about a damehood?
Och why did Lorraine say that at the end after promising Anne? I know she wouldn’t have meant anything malicious from that comment and probably only meant she was doing well at that age but Anne said at one point oh I look so young so she didn’t want it said it wasn’t kind
Just proves never trust those who walk into your life, try putting on the charm….because charmers only have one thing in mind…to get their own way and as much as possible….that’s why they put on the charm in the first place….they have no other motive.
Anne Reed is quite correct in setting the table straight about her career, and I i do wish Lorraine would not over do the gushing, it is pointless with someone as down to earth as Anne, also let the woman speak!!
Horrible story but this situation proves how ridiculous people are when they think somebody else wants to take care of them when most people have their own agenda Elderly people are somewhat naive about how people really are but then these suburban people living in their safe neighborhoods couldn't believe there are people such as this exist.

I agree, we have some brilliant mature actors and actresses don't we in the UK. They bring quality to the productions they're in.
He was never convicted of killing Anne though, she died of natural causes after she had got away from him.

Lorraine hasn't learned anything in decades of interviewing people. She thinks everything has to be dumbed down and made fluffy .
