- Locker Nuts episode 349
This is part 5, and concludes the $450 locker I bought at auction. We've gone through all the items, but saved the jewelry boxes for last. Let's look through those and see if we have some good stuff (spoiler alert... we do) and also take a closer look at that bag of change I found in the last episode.
Here is some of the gear that I use on a regular basis (paid affiliate links):

At 5:55 is a blue Chinese good luck charm😍the turtle represents to not be in a rush for everything, be wise in your judgment
Toe ring isn’t broken, it’s open to be adjustable
Beautiful Sapphire and diamond ring! Great find!
I buy stuff like that wooden jewelry and old beads for my granddaughter to play with...little girls love it....good stuff...I had a ring with the feet on it....they were big in1974, 1975...I was in the 7 th grade....memories...
2:25 I believe it is rolled paper , long beads. Hey ya know....if you don't want to sell beaded necklaces , cut the string and sell jars of beads . 2:42. That is tiger eye stones liquid silver is the silver beads...yes silver. 4:11. Vintage. 4:31 silver ? 5:04....that is beautiful...dont toss , thats a keeper.
Glad you caught the liquid silver necklace!
You might want to donate some of those necklaces to a senior home .little old ladies love jewelry especially those that never had much growing up .I worked for years in homes and took clothes, jewelry etc.in for women from my mom .it makes their day to get a special item .
That blue ring is beautiful.
Check those gold tone solitare post earrings. If the end is pointed then they are most like cubic zironia gold plated surgical steel starter earrings. The posts look a bit on the thick side to me for them to be regular earrings. Also the gold ring at 13:23, may be a custom piece meant to be a graduation ring. The ring says 2000 with the 2 being part of the band and the stones representing the zeros. The NHS could stand for the National honors Society.
Long jewelry commentary (reader beware) 02:26 paper bead necklace, silverplate and tigerseye 1970s, 1980s with a NICE barrel clasp. 03:51 Late 60s/early 70s either Japanese or Hong Kong 04:12 Those used to be decent - the findings are all corroded. They're supposed to be gold or silver-color instead of green. There are ways to clean them if someone wants to bother. 05:14 that heart bracelet might be better than you think; it looks like 80s vending machine jewelry and that's gone up lately. 06:35 NICE bracelet 07:13 Probably a Roman brand necklace - they made plate. 08:03 expansion band bracelet. 60s 08:40 the pearls might be real. 09:43 I've never seen a sterling Ernie before. I'd wear that! 10:17 Native American probably, so not marked as often as not. 10:46 that's silver, no question. The Mexican bangle is iffy - too much "beach jewelry" with fake marks. 12:36 NICE brand of 1990s costume - Liz Palacios. 13:23 That might be a high school class ring. The purple stone was obvious costume - square back = fake. The sapphire one could have been an engagement ring. www.bluenile.com/sapphire-diamond-ring_6887 (they don't come cheap, retail, but you can see the NUTSO markup on gold jewelry)
Well done
Thank you!!!
The gold ring is probably school N HS The 2 ***. Could be 2000 ?
Sandels with socks....such a dad move
That right!
Jack, you are sounding like the Pirate more everyday! Gold, Silver & Gems....lol
I know that you are friendly with Pirate, Jack but I think that several people watch and enjoy you because you are so different than him. I don’t know much about him but I didn’t enjoy watching his channel and I even have difficulty watching when the two of you collab. 😔
I feel like you, Uncle Mike, and others who help him sort through the units are talked down to or called out if he thinks that he has the correct answer when someone else is sharing what they know.
I find the combined Pirate/Locker Nuts videos
difficult to watch all the way to the end. Your styles and personalities are complete dichotomies. I’m just letting you know so maybe the responses you’ve had in many of the LN/Pirate collabs will make more sense and I hope that there are no hard feelings between the two of you. I think I subbed to your channel when you were at about 4 K subs and I I’ve loved seeing you and Janna’s confidence grow by leaps and bounds and the quality of your uploads is very nice indeed! I look forward to seeing you achieve all of your YT goals! I’m sorry this has become a long comment but I’ve wanted to be honest with you about this situation for a very long time! 💙🙏🏼💙
Don’t go to coinstar. Find a local bank with a coin machine. Open a small account there and they don’t take anything...keep your money, your work hard for it.
I heard earlier this summer that some banks were offering a small percentage bonus for bringing coin collections into their facilities. I’m not sure if it still possible or if it applied to every state but it might be worth looking into since you have such a large number of coinage!
My guess is $1867 when all is said and done! 😊
Can't make a video at a bank.
The one gold ring with 3 diamonds is a 2000 class ring with the initials of the high school.
I saw that to
The sapphire in the 18K ring is almost certainly either synthetic or color-enhanced. That color and size would be way too expensive to put in a simple mounting if natural (unenhanced). Although it may have been expensive new (depending on whether the clear stones are diamonds or CZ's and if diamonds, the quality), resale value would probably be around $300 IMO.
If you handle collectible coins, hold them by the edges only. Makes them worth more cuz they won’t have oils and prints on them.
Remember ... none of the european currency (most) is in use anymore. We switched to the Euro about 20 years ago. So Belgian, Frecnh, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, German and other currency from before the nineties (1999 in most EU countries) is actually currency which is out of circulation for 20 years already.
That green bead necklace looks like the beads are made of paper. They roll pieces of paper up a f shellac them with something. IDK if they sell them already made but I know a lot of people make them themselves. They can be made to look like glass beads even. It's pretty amazing what they can make just from paper.
Love this series of videos Locker Nuts 🥜
Not bad end. Keep safe down there. 👍👍👍❤️💙💚🤗
The blue one that you put to the side is made from paper. Your girls may have fun making them. I make jewelry. The pink and black looked like cats eye and hematite. 😊
Hey! That gold ring with the 3 "diamonds" is a 2000 commemorative ring. Just turn it around. It will be obvious to you. 😃😃😃
In my guess it’s a class ring from 2000
yeh, it was pretty obvious lol. the nhs was probably a high school, first name starting with 'n', graduation ring.
The 18kt white gold ring, if it's sapphire and diamond, it's definitely worth more than $500 because, the gemstone is expensive.
Take the gold one with the initials engraved and have them buffed out.
God bless you and your family and another great video and thanks for sharing and keep them great videos coming and I send you and your love ones lots of blessings and always stay bless
I think the gold ring is a class ring because it looks like 2000 graduating class year and RHS must be the school marking, that’s my guess. They both are pretty and the sapphire is beautiful and makes me want it real bad cause that is my birthstone😃😃👍🏻👍🏻
2:35 the piece you say is wearable is handmade paper beads. And yes even those first pieces that look like for kids are sellable as a kids dress up lot. I sold a bunch of them like that.
My daughter is a jewelry maker and sometimes she goes to estate sales and buys vintage jewelry and uses some of the pieces like the clasps in her jewelry designs.
Excellent auction items. Bring on the Coin Star plastic vault!
the turtle pendant looks like it is stamped 770 which is a marking of alloy nickel silver
That is an old 50 pence piece, it's larger than our new one 👍
Lovely jewellery
Please keep safe and well x
The square wooden bead I’ve seen those up on eBay awhile back adult necklaces
Jack you do know that Gold fill jewelry is valuable and sell really well on eBay.
It was a good video... nice rings and costume Jewelry
The gold ring with the three diamonds - if you look at it face on, it could represent the year 2000 with the gold being the 2 and the three diamonds being three zeros.
You might want to pull them old costume jewelry pieces even those clip ons. Vintage shops repurpose those pieces. Some of thats worth alotta coin!
We put them in big bags of jewelry and auction them off. We'll have one of those for sale tonight in our live auction.
Use Hoover and Strong for any scrap metals including gold, silver, platinum. Pawn shops sell to them. You will get a better price from Hoover and Stong. And they have free shipping.
Canadian money does not have 1 or 2 dollar bills anymore and pennies are done too.
Centavos are the small change from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador & Bolivia
Great finds!
I like collecting foreign money, I am sure others do too, so that is a nice addition to your auction.
I don't think that ring is broken they leave it open at the end so you can fit it over your toe
Some of the older Canadian coins are also silver so I wouldn’t discount them. There is a lot of vintage jewelry there and great find on the sterling and gold.
Hi Jack, Indiana or pawn jewelry usually isn't marked from what I remember. You could ask Dave from bbd, he buys a lot of it. He knows jewelry.
I loved the two little turtles that were together
Jack you should have that Sapphire checked out...... it looks like it could be a Kashmir Sapphire and if it is they're worth some good money... something to think about anyways...... love your videos.....
I LOVE YOUR SERIES!!!! Great job Jack!
Gr8 locker Jack... Can't wait for you to do that coin star video... I would say that there's at least $875.00 in your jug... Well done again... Stay safe homie...👍💕🔥⚾😷
I sure hope so! I’d be happy with that.
Loved the videos ☺️ be waiting on The next take care God bless your family
Hope you make a little money on this unit. Love your videos
The 14k ri g has a 2 with 3 diamonds to mean the year 2000, and the RHS is for the High School they went to-it's a class ring
I enjoy all of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Enjoy it, enjoy the little things❤️🤗
Native American kokopeli ring.
that one bracelet with the turquoise stone is actually silver. its not stamped because it is may be Native American hand made bracelet. I have one that has multiple stones
Some of the big mexican coins are 50% silver.
look carefully at the English 50 pence piece they have different things on the back some of them can be valuable
LOL! Jack has the national coin shortage
I bet them pair of earrings look like a pair I have the diamond star ones and mine are nickel free
The compact ( that had the screw inside) is Damascence a type of jewelry from Spain - I love Damascene!
Looking forward to the CoinStar video. I am calling it, the jug will be just over $4200
I love the to have the lovely little yellow & green turtles :-) Sadly I wouldn't be able to afford them, as I live in the UK, but I can dream :-)
That M on that turtle could be Monet it's costume jewellery.
I am from canada the $1 and $2 have been out of circulation for sometime we now have a loonie $1 toonie $2 and we no longer make or take pennies so if you get pennies keep them
The brown beads look like cat eye beads, it's a stone.
pretty cool
as always like your videos. an your finds.
Jack you remind me of Fagan from Oliver Twist when he is looking at all his jewellery, he had hidden in his wall.ha! ha! Anyway looking forward to the next locker.😀
Some of those coins you said were Mexican money look from a distance to be UK coins
The newer pawn newer pawn jewelry might have a better chance of being marked but I don't think they marked the older stuff. Mexican jewelry isn't marked a lot either. A lot of older jewelry didn't get marked for silver or gold so you have to watch out for that.
I think the lady was a teacher. All those wooden beaded necklaces and the apple necklace holder scream teacher.
Nice haul! I was getting concerned you would find any precious metal or stone !

Presidential meaning President of the USA... not the school district.
Have you thought of running the magnet over the pile and get the costume stuff out of the way?
the 14k looked like a class of 2000 ring initial are the school
Andy Shirley that is a 2000 class ring the diamonds are for the zeros he was holding it upside down
My thoughts exactly.
That one necklace is rolled paper
Those job like beads are made of paper. 2:29
What do you do with small ring boxes unmarked ,I'm looking for some I make jewelry and need boxes thank you
A lot of old native silver isn’t marked
The ring with 3 stones looks like a 2 with 3 stones for the year 2000 then the NHS maybe a high school. ? Graduation ring?
Hi, their friend, do not put your Dollars coins with your other coins in your big bottle where you have your coins because the bank machine will pass them as quarters
Not true
go and check "the diamond store" a ring identical to the one you got £1581 White Gold Ring FET23-UY(new)
That is their amount in scrap but you won't get scrap because they don't buy for spot when you sell it so it is way better to sell as jewelry
Clean the jewelry before you test it. Jewelry cleaner is not expensive. It will enhance the brightness of costume jewelry as well. Use your phones ringer to vibrate a jar lid with the solution.
Jack, I think the gold ring with the initials could have the initials buffed out by a jeweler.
Your 18K sapphire/diamond ring most likely retailed for $1K+.
Gold filled is not bad its way better than gold plated. If you save all your gf you can send it to a recovery place and make some money. Dave makes some very good money from doing it. You really need to talk to him about it. He's found a pretty honest place that he uses all the time he makes a few thousand I think every time he does it. It adds up jack.
Can you donate the charm bracelet to my nine year old daughter😂 Reminds me of one I had 30 years ago
do you ever check the coins with a magnet?
Right when you got to a jewelry piece I was interested in, you skipped over it. A tag with a cat and a heart, about 14 minutes in. Do you still have it?
you need a gem tester and an acid kit from scambay.....
Hi Janna !!! Jack I sent you an email about the heart and bow necklace!!
Those were paper beads. Cool
10:20 totally silver, mexican probably and they have always semi precious stones (minerals) like turquoise and those other trendy rocks ...they have value
You know coinstar steals your money
Fake news
Empty parking lots are the best place to learn to drive, lol.
The long tapered beads are made of rolled paper.
The 14k gold ring might be popular in the UK because of the initials NHS our national health service. Might get a nurse or Dr who works within it that will buy it?
Can't believe you thought the British money was Mexican...lol
The coin jug ...about $4,000.00
