✌ Hi! Please be so kind as to consider this message for a moment. It may not surprise you to know that these videos take a lot of time and effort to produce, and they're also not particularly cheap. I'm hoping that this project will be sustainable in the long run, so that I can fulfil the goal of creating a complete catalogue of philosophical and psychological texts that will aid people's research for a long time to come. A small bit of support from a small number of viewers can determine the survival of this project, so if you're in a position for that to be you, here are a few ways to help (all scripts and artwork will be available to supporters): Share the channel with a friend:▶ youtube.com/@mindofnous?sub_confirmation=1 Become a Patron of the channel:🎗 patreon.com/mindofnous Send me a one time donation:🎁 ko-fi.com/mindofnous Try the best AI voice cloning:🎙 try.elevenlabs.io/s5ziczv1990t Alternatively, if you didn't know already, I am also developing a philosophical science called paraphilosophy, which is discussed on my main channel: Watch a 4 minute intro to my work: 🪬 ua-cam.com/video/P4gvxs3jAHQ/v-deo.html Check out my book: 📕 pge.me/4JWyoe I also have a discord server related to my main channel, so if you're interested in learning/discussing paraphilosophy, feel free to join: discord.gg/HHFcG76v7y Thank you SO much! 🙏
Can you guys acknowledge the hermetica for the overwhelmingly egyptian teachings that it is? I feel like so many people seem to associate it with the greek mythology, overlooking how staggeringly egyptian it is in its nature.
I don't think anyone is denying it's Egyptian origins. The early astrological hermetica were probably compiled in Egyptian temples. The conflation arises because Egypt was Hellenized by 300 BCE, which was long before the extant philosophical hermetica are dated. Hence we find considerable influence from philosophers like Plato and Pythagoras, though both of these are known to have studied in Egypt for many years, so the influence was mutual... Regardless, I am working on something that will go a lot deeper into the Egyptian connection - the above video is really just an introduction for people who are new to the subject.
