please help to answer i really don't know about if my own brother is Applying assylum and it's ongoing process it there any problem will be with when i make appointment for visit visa?
true because the same thing happened to my Dad he was visiting his brother who at the time i believe was a greencard holder and he got gracefully accepted
I never had any tickets at all, no bank statements, no work records, no ties to my home country shown. Just passport and application, no other docs. Trip reason: "To have fun". Got the visa for 10 years. was 5 times in the US already. So, the things you mention are not always true - it always depends on a person. When my visa expires I will simply mail my passport to the Embassy to renew it - same type, same period, no any additional interviews. In general, the US visa was the easiest one in my life.
I’m glad your application was easy, but it can also depend on what country you’re from. I can guarantee a Nigerian applicant wouldn’t get the same experience. There are lots of factors that play into visa approvals to this country.

Yes, it is not proper to talk about US citizen relatives if not ask. But, remember that there is a question on the DS60 application form regarding relatives leaving in the US and their status. So, how to reconcile about it. Since, usually the reason for visiting the US, is to visit my relatives. It is not a good reason? Please enlighten about it. Your reply is highly appreciated.
You must ALWAYS tell the truth and if the sole reason for visiting is to see relatives then of course you have to mention it. It is in the DS160 but if your trip does not have to do with them then there is no need to bring it up in the interview unless directly asked.
If you DO have a a US citizen fiancé / fiancée then you need to apply for a K1 visa, not a temporary visit visa. Technically the K1 visa is also a non-immigrant visa but it is processed as such because it is assumed that your US citizen sponsor will request an adjustment of status for permanent residency immediately after you marry.
No US Embassy consular officers posted in India ask for a return ticket at the time of Interview. What the lady above has said is a very generic point & is not applicable to India. Also categories like H / L’s & F1 will not need a return ticket as their stay in the US is indefinite. B1 / B2’s can have a return ticket before they enter the port of entry, but even that is not mandatory. For a few fishy cases the CBP officers may question them abt a return ticket, definitely not for all. Sr immigration attorney, Chennai, India.
Thank you for your comment. Remember, this video is for people all over the world applying for a US visa, not just in India. Also, this video is not about what the officers REQUIRE at the interview it is "5 things NOT to do at your visa interview." I share with everyone, after helping people get approved visas for 20+ years, what I know helps get people their US visas approved. Officers don't always ask for round trip tickets, but if you have one it helps tremendously and definitely do NOT present a one way ticket to the officer at a US visa interview (which is what I stress in the video). I have also had clients from India present round trip plane tickets at visa interviews and they have been approved (of course the plane ticket was one of many pieces of evidence I had them prepare to bring). The key is not what is REQUIRED by the officer, or what is asked for by the officer, it is what you need to present to get approved. Have a wonderful day!🙏
Thnku for letting me know..I'm an Indian and my interview is due, next month...I was worried that I have to buy a tickets.. Any idea ,if invitation letter is important,if going to meet cousins?
Thank you so much for your great advice.. I travel around Europe already, and I love to visit USA and I apply Tourism visa and I got Refused.. I don’t know why, questions was simple and I answered back politely… But I got sorry from the officer not to approve Visa this time….Dsappointing!
Mam I in July 2022 my USA f1 visa was approved for five years but due to my family problems I came back.after three months still I'm in india can I go back to USA for my studies
I am going there till visit my daughter who is a US citizen. So woukd it not look odd if they ask “why are you going” and I say “just as a tourist”? The next question will be “why are you not visiting your daughter then”?
Good day Ma, i want to thank you for being so helpful with my usa immigrant visa case. Please i really want to ask you a question that has really been bothering me. It about my visa application i have hit documentary Qualified DQ since December/ 27/ 2023, but hasn't got a date yet for my interview appointment. Now that's one, secondly my passport that i used in processing my visa application documents has expired this year March, but i already applied for a renewal which is out now with me. Could it be that the reason why i haven't been setup for an interview is because of my expired passport? And should i upload the new passport or wait until i get a visa interview appointment. And my visa is IR1 immigrant visa Thank you and God bless
Dear madam, I have a question: is consular officer allowed to check persons background in fbi database without visa application or its strictly prohibited? Is there any control over this?
What if they ask about your us citizen spouse or ask why your coming to the United States? If your reason is to go visit your fiance? Do you say your coming to visit them ? Also if you have a k-1 visa application in do you mention you alright have one in and plan to return to your home country beacause you have too for the upcoming interview?
thanks for the info..I'm sure it's going to be very helpful...I have question though, do i have to bring or purchase a round-trip airfare to the interview???..thanks
This year march 12th was my interview, I had every documents needed family ties, ticket was payed my itinerary was well documented according to where I was going but I think the consuler just looked at me and didn't like me
I put in my DS 160 form that I will be visiting my Great Uncle, should I say that "I'm visiting and spending holidays with my relatives in the US" when they asked me what is my purpose to go to the USA
If that is the purpose then that is what you should say. Never lie to a officer, but don't bring up US citizen relatives if it is not relevant to the reason you are visiting or applying for a visa.
dear ma'm, I applied for US visit visa in November 2023. Thanks for your video, I have a question, I got my I-20 and my school starts in August, now we are in February I have to book my appointment now or to wait at least 1 month before the start of my school?
You contradict yourself several times . And...why does US require you to come here to get a visa? We dont have to go to another country to get a visa to enter their country. Unless I misunderstood
After submitting the DS160 form, the available slot is after a year. After a year, when I visited, I was told that my application is one year old 😞 If the application is one year old, why didn't it get canceled automatically? Why they don't automate this things, applicant must get a notification that his/her application is expired or not eligible for submit DS160 if there are not available interview slot I think they intentionally don't implement all this issues so that applicant keep paying the visa fee
What if you're a citizen of Philippines and working in Malaysia or in another country? Which home ties are you gonna establish? Is it in Malaysia or the Philippines? The work visa is in Malaysia and in contract for 1 year. Please advise.

Hi, I’ve applied for my master's in the USA, received my I-20, and am now booking the visa appointment. I have one question: We have to add spouse's name on my wife passport who is the F2 applicant and have applied for the same. It should be done by next week. For now, can we book the visa appointment using her old passport along with the acknowledgment receipt of the new passport? When appearing for the interview, we can take the new passport with my name on it. Please reply.

Have a wonderful day!🙏
@@SzewLawGroupIncWhy buy a return ticket and then get turned down . Why not buy the ticket after the visa approval
Thnku for letting me know..I'm an Indian and my interview is due, next month...I was worried that I have to buy a tickets..
Any idea ,if invitation letter is important,if going to meet cousins?
They don't ask Indians for return ticket because they already know that Indians won't return.
The point about return ticket is bogus and irrelevant
It was very informative thank you
Glad it was helpful!
You are very intelligent.
Thank you😊
Great explanation.
I love USA i really like your country it's my dream to visit and tourism USA😊😊😊
thanks a lot your information's❤❤❤❤❤
Booking ticket is not mandatory for the visitor visa. 💯
No. You don’t need to purchase tickets before you get the Visa approved. I have done it twice.
Roundtrip for just applying US Visa yet? Consul never ask for any documentation.
Oh good advice, thanks for the infor, wish someday i can visit US.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your great advice..
I travel around Europe already, and I love to visit USA and I apply Tourism visa and I got Refused..
I don’t know why, questions was simple and I answered back politely…
But I got sorry from the officer not to approve Visa this time….Dsappointing!
Where are you from? Your country of origin I mean

You are very welcome!!
You don't buy a ticket yet get the itinerary that what I did and later purchase a ticket once all visa is approved
Yes absolutely be honest always! Make sure to bring evidence of your fiancee's filing receipt.
thanks for the info..I'm sure it's going to be very helpful...I have question though, do i have to bring or purchase a round-trip airfare to the interview???..thanks
I have one point to mentioned. Normally, we do not book air ticket unless we have a US Visa. So it is difficult to present (returned) ticket.
Thank you madam

Thanks for your video, I have a question, I got my I-20 and my school starts in August, now we are in February I have to book my appointment now or to wait at least 1 month before the start of my school?
USA embassy mentioned at website that don't buy ticket until you get approval
Refundable ticket is a good option if possible so they see you have a round trip planned. Not required but highly recommended.
Great info
Glad it was helpful!
Very informative. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
so what about you want to move there permanently?
Please give me more clarity on the the I20 form... Does the I20 Form essential for all the necessary VISA desire?
You contradict yourself several times .
And...why does US require you to come here to get a visa? We dont have to go to another country to get a visa to enter their country. Unless I misunderstood
After submitting the DS160 form, the available slot is after a year.
After a year, when I visited, I was told that my application is one year old 😞
If the application is one year old, why didn't it get canceled automatically?
Why they don't automate this things, applicant must get a notification that his/her application is expired or not eligible for submit DS160 if there are not available interview slot
I think they intentionally don't implement all this issues so that applicant keep paying the visa fee
Yes and No
Hi, nice tips. However, as far as I know, one should not buy their tickets prior getting their visa approved!
Nice video ❤
Glad you liked it
Great information 👍
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
What if you're a citizen of Philippines and working in Malaysia or in another country? Which home ties are you gonna establish? Is it in Malaysia or the Philippines? The work visa is in Malaysia and in contract for 1 year. Please advise.

Hi,
I’ve applied for my master's in the USA, received my I-20, and am now booking the visa appointment.
