    no matter if your shit is trash or trendy, all you need is ONE person of "influence" to see it for it to go global. keep putting your shit out there.

    I like how Virgil’s transparent about his design. It’s simple but he has made it iconic. Simple diagonal lines and a free font on adoebe...the creation wasn’t the hard part but the marketing and effort that goes into making the design well known.

      Once u build that credibility like him u can pretty much make anything and kids will buy into it. Personally I’m not really into off white anymore, too overplayed and cringey imo.

      Womens OFF-WHITE is and always has been really good stuff. You can clearly see that way more designing goes into womenswear. And though I agree that marketing obviously plays a huge role on Virgil's success, he definitely knew very very well what he was doing when he decided to connect what he calls 'high fashion' and streetwear. He was in a right place at a right time, and he knew where to be.

      Its interesting how u mentioned him being transparent about his design, reminds me of his nike collab. Shoes with very basic white theme and somewhat transparent fabrics choices, also the semi-transparent hanging tags on his branded clothes.

    why should fashion be based on someone else and not based on originality? there is no originality if ppl dress how these ppl think

    • @TheSympathize
      @TheSympathize 6 років тому +3

      FingerDawg lol if you were speaking for everyone, the off white Jordan’s for example wouldn’t be reselling for over $1000. Clearly, overall market demand doesn’t agree with your personal tastes.

    • @TheSympathize
      @TheSympathize 6 років тому +7

      FingerDawg yes they are, but you’d be a part of that stupidity if you think your personal taste is the objective standard by which everyone else’s taste must adhere to. You are nobody to say what others should like or shouldn’t like.
