Man this is the first video where someone isn't just telling us to draft the obvious big name players finally someone that can give is options since nobody will have the first 10 picks back yo back 😊
To be fair Etienne started off great with a huge workload and was horrible the back half of last year. It’s fair to say the workload stripped back his efficiency the same way as for a guy like Tony Pollard. I just find him pretty unexciting in the 2nd round but I get why he goes there.
Second half of the year, his starting QB was injured & Kirk was down which heavily impacted the way a defense approached a game & the way they defended the run. I don’t think it’s fair to compare him to Pollard at all. He’s proven with volume he can be efficient before when the team around him is decent. In 2022, amongst all RBs who had 200 attempts he was 2nd in YPA, only Aaron Jones was higher.
@@FantasyLandFootball do you consider 220 attempts in a 17 game season heavy volume? If you look at the 2nd half of last year his carries, targets, and snap percentages were all down post bye week.
@@FantasyLandFootball I just don’t consider 12 carries a week an example of being a bellcow back.. and I don’t view Etienne as an elite level talent or a great offensive situation. I know why he’s a 2nd round pick but when faced with him and or an Achane or Pacheco going after him I can’t justify it. Fair take though.
@@FantasyLandFootballlast year he relied on huge plays and TDs. He essentially ran into a wall half the time because of his poor line. He would have negative play after negative play and then get saved either by a breakaway run late or a couple rushing touchdown. Halfway through the year the TDs dried up and he was unplayable. Sure you can blame it on injuries but there’s something to be said for not taking TD reliant players early precisely because of that volatility. The offense can’t actually run through him because he doesn’t move the chains. He might have a breakaway run but other than that it’s all on the rest of the team to get near the goal line and let him punch it in.
Really enjoyed listening to this on the way home from work. Great energy, solid research. I am down with most of these picks. Coming back around on Rice, he is usually available around the 7th round in the mocks I have been doing.

Kinda reminds me of when Deshaun Watson lost Hopkins and people were worried then will fuller was actually a great fantasy option til he popped for PEDs, fingers crossed
The thing about Rice is people have been chasing Mahomes' WR's for years now and they never pan out. Mahome's just spreads it around too much and it's like playing whack-a-mole with who is going to have the big week. Maybe it's changed but I would always be nervous drafting KC WR's.

Which WR was worthy of being heavily targeted and critical to an offense since Tyreek left? MVS? Skyy Moore? Kadarius Toney? Of course they didn’t have a WR Top 10 in that span man.
Zamir white will get the volume, but he isn’t a good half back you’ll get lucky if he has 1 20+ game and will probably hang around 8-11 pts per game maybe a TD here and there

I do not get Engram being so low in PPR. He broke the all time record for receptions as a TE last year! I know he gets a lot of short balls, but to lose Zay Jones and Ridley and still be no higher than TE 6 is ridiculous, comin off 114 receptions. On that note, TE is as stacked as it has ever been this year.
Im goin diontae... he should be top option in offense... i know its a far cry from chiefs offense but ya have kelce and pacheco absorbing a lot of targets and Xavier creeping into those with hollywood coming along at some point...

How do all these fantasy channels continue to forget that Theilen isn’t being replaced? 3 videos I have seen TODAY that just forgot to mention that Adam Theilen was still in Carolina…
@@FantasyLandFootball reading what I posted, I can’t find where I said that at all. But the overhype on Diontae is REAL when there is already another worthwhile target in Carolina.
