I like your list a lot, and although we disagree on a number of things (Radiohead, Kanye, etc), I think it shows what I believe to be the true indicator of taste: spending the time and having the commitment to finding what you really like as opposed to stopping at what's spoonfed to you. There's a lot I'd love to make commentary on, but I don't want to make this comment too long. Given what you said about the Slint album, I'd be curious what you thought of Squirrel Bait (who wrote some amazing, I guess pop punk? check the S/T) some of whose members would go on to be in Slint, and Rodan "Rusty" which is also from Louisville and in the Slint soundscape.
